Proverbs 21

1 From this chapter to the five and twentieth are sundry observations of moral virtues, and their contrary vices.

 21:5 The plans 4284 of the diligent 2742a [lead] surely 389 to advantage 4195, But everyone 3605 who is hasty 213 [comes] surely 389 to poverty 4270.

 21:6 The acquisition 6467 of treasures 214 by a lying 8267 tongue 3956 Is a fleeting 5086 vapor 1892, the pursuit 1245 of death 4194.

 21:7 The violence 7701 of the wicked 7563 will drag 1641 them away 1641, Because 3588 they refuse 3985 to act 6213a with justice 4941.

 21:8 The way 1870 of a guilty 2054 man 376 is crooked 2019, But as for the pure 2134, his conduct 6467 is upright 3477.

 21:9 It is better 2896a to live 3427 in a corner 6438 of a roof 1406 Than 4480 in a house 1004 shared 2267 with a contentious 4066 woman 802.

 21:10 The soul 5315 of the wicked 7563 desires 183 evil 7451b; His neighbor 7453 finds 2603a no 3808 favor 2603a in his eyes 5869.

 21:11 When the scoffer 3917b is punished 6064, the naive 6612a becomes 2449 wise 7919a; But when the wise 2449 is instructed 7919a, he receives 3947 knowledge 1847.

 21:17 He who loves 157 pleasure 8057 [will become] a poor 4270 man 376; He who loves 157 wine 3196 and oil 8081 will not become 6238 rich 6238.

 21:20 There is precious 2530 treasure 214 and oil 8081 in the dwelling 5116a of the wise 2450, But a foolish 3684 man 120 swallows 1104 it up.

 21:21 He who pursues 7291 righteousness 6666 and loyalty 2617a Finds 4672 life 2425b, righteousness 6666 and honor 3519b.

 21:22 A wise 2450 man 2450 scales 5927 the city 5892b of the mighty 1368 And brings 3381 down 3381 the stronghold 5797 in which 4009 they trust 4009.

 21:23 He who guards 8104 his mouth 6310 and his tongue 3956, Guards 8104 his soul 5315 from troubles 6869a.

 21:24 “Proud 2086,” “Haughty 3093,” “Scoffer 3917b,” are his names 8034, Who acts 6213a with insolent 2087 pride 2087.

 21:28 A false 3577 witness 5707 will perish 6, But the man 376 who listens 8085 [to the truth] will speak 1696 forever 5331.

 21:29 A wicked 7563 man 376 displays 5810 a bold 5810 face 6440, But as for the upright 3477, he makes 3559 his way 1870 sure 3559.

 21:30 There 369 is no 369 wisdom 2451 and no 369 understanding 8394 And no 369 counsel 6098 against 5048 the LORD 3068.

 21:31 The horse 5483b is prepared 3559 for the day 3117 of battle 4421, But victory 8668 belongs to the LORD 3068.
