 10:1 ¶ AMEN, amen, I say to you, Whosoever entereth not by the door into the fold of the flock, but ascendeth by another place, he is a thief and a robber.

 10:1 Verily, verily, I say to you, That he who doth not enter by the door into the fold of the flock, but climbeth up in some other place, he is a thief and a robber.

 10:2 But he who entereth by the door, he is the shepherd of the flock.

 10:2 But he that entereth by the door, is the shepherd of the flock.

 10:3 And to him the keeper of the gate openeth the gate, and the flock heareth his voice, and his sheep he calleth by their names, and he leadeth them forth;

 10:3 And to him the door-keeper openeth the door; and the sheep hear his voice. And he calleth the sheep by their names, and leadeth them out.

 10:4 and when his flock hath gone forth, he goeth before it, and his sheep follow him, because they know his voice.

 10:4 And when he hath led out his flock, he goeth before it; and his sheep follow him, because they know his voice.

 10:5 But after a stranger the flock goeth not, but it fleeth from him; for it knoweth not the voice of a stranger.

 10:7 And Jesus said to them again: Verily, verily, I say to you, That I am the door of the flock.

 10:8 and all those who have come were thieves and robbers, but the flock heard them not.

 10:8 All those who have come, were thieves and robbers: but the flock did not hear them.

 10:9 I am the gate; by me if any man enter, he shall live and shall come in, and go out, and find pasture.

 10:9 I am the door: and if any enter by me, he will live, and will come in and go out, and will find pasture.

 10:10 The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that which is more.

 10:11 I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd his life layeth down for his flock.

 10:12 The hireling who is not the shepherd, and whose the sheep are not, when he seeth the wolf coming, leaveth the flock and fleeth; and the wolf cometh ravaging and destroying the flock.

 10:12 But a hireling, who is not the shepherd, and to whom the sheep do not belong, when he seeth the wolf coming, leaveth the flock, and fleeth; and the wolf cometh, and teareth, and disperseth the flock.

 10:13 But the hireling fleeth because he is an hireling, and careth not for the flock.

 10:13 And a hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and hath no concern for the flock.

 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my own, and am known of my own.

 10:14 I am a good shepherd; and I know my own [sheep], and am known by my own.

 10:15 As my Father knoweth me (and) I know my Father, and my life I lay down for the flock.

 10:15 As my Father knoweth me, so know I my Father; and I expose my life for the flock.

 10:16 But I have other sheep also which are not of this fold; and these also it behoveth me to bring, and they will hear my voice, and all shall become one flock and one shepherd.

 10:16 And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold: and them also I must bring; and they will hear my voice; and the whole will be one flock, and one shepherd.

 10:17 On this account my Father loveth me, because I lay down my life again to take it.

 10:17 For this cause my Father loveth me, that I lay down my life, to resume it again.

 10:18 No man taketh it away from me, but I lay it down from my will; for I am able to lay it down, and I am able to take it again; for this commandment have I received from my Father.

 10:18 There is no one that taketh it from me; but I lay it down of my own pleasure: for I have authority to lay it down, and authority to resume it again; because I have received this command from my Father.

 10:19 And there was again a division among the Jihudoyee because of his words:

 10:19 And again there was a division among the Jews, on account of these sayings.

 10:20 and many of them said, He has a devil, and is altogether insane, why do you hear him?

 10:20 And many of them said: He hath a demon, and is wholly beside himself; why hear ye him?

 10:21 But others said, These words are not of a demoniac: how can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

 10:21 But others said: These are not the discourses of a demoniac: can a demon open the eyes of one blind?

 10:22 ¶ IT was the feast of the renovation at Urishlem, and it was winter.

 10:22 And the feast of the dedication was [held] at Jerusalem, and it was winter.

 10:23 And Jeshu walked in the temple in the portico of Shelumun.

 10:23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in the porch of Solomon.

 10:24 And the Jihudoyee surrounded him, saying to him, How long takest thou our souls? If thou art the Meshicha, tell us openly.

 10:24 And the Jews gathered around him; and said to him: how long holdest thou our mind in suspense? If thou art the Messiah, tell us plainly.

 10:25 Jeshu answered and said to them, I have told you, and you believe not. The works that I do in the name of my Father, these witness for me.

 10:25 Jesus answered, and said to them: I have told you, and ye did not believe. The works which I do in the name of my Father, they testify of me

 10:26 But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, (even) as I told you.

 10:26 But ye do not believe, because ye are not of my sheep, as I have said to you.

 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;

 10:27 My sheep hear my voice: and I know them: and they go after me.

 10:28 and I give to them the life which is eternal, and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall snatch them from my hands.

 10:28 And I give to them life eternal: and they will never be lost: nor will any one pluck them from my hand.

 10:29 For my Father who gave them to me than all is greater; and no man from the hand of my Father can snatch them.

 10:29 For my Father, who gave [them] to me, is greater than all; nor can any pluck from my Father's hand.

 10:30 I and my Father are One.

 10:32 Jeshu saith to them, Many good works from my Father have I showed you: on account of which of these works do you stone me?

 10:32 Jesus said to them: Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

 10:33 The Jihudoyee say to him, Not on account of the good works do we stone thee, but because thou blasphemest; thou, being a son of man, making thyself Aloha.

 10:33 The Jews said to him: It is not on account of good works, that we stone thee: but because thou blasphemest; and, whilst thou art a man, thou makest thyself God.

 10:34 Jeshu saith to them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are Alohee?

 10:34 Jesus said to them: Is it not written in your law, I have said, Ye are gods?

 10:35 If them he calleth Alohee, because with them was the word of Aloha, and the scripture cannot be loosed,

 10:35 If he called them gods, because the word of God was with them, and the scripture cannot be nullified;

 10:36 to him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, say you, Thou blasphemest, because I have said to you, I am the Son of Aloha?

 10:36 do ye say to him, whom the Father, hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said to you, I am the Son of God?

 10:37 And if I do not the works of my Father, believe me not;

 10:37 And if I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

 10:38 but if I do, though you believe not me, the works believe, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and (that) I (am) in the Father.

 10:38 But if I do [them], although ye believe not me, yet believe the works; that ye may know and believe, that my Father is in me, and I in my Father.

 10:39 And they sought again to apprehend him; but he went forth from among their hands:

 10:39 And again they sought to lay hold of him; but he escaped out of their hands;

 10:40 and he went beyond Jurdan, to the place where Juchanon at first had baptized, and was there.

 10:40 and retired to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John at first baptized, and tarried there.

 10:41 And many came to him, and said, Juchanon did not one sign; but every thing which Juchanon said concerning this man was true.

 10:41 And many persons came to him: and they said, John indeed wrought not even one sign; but every thing that John said of his man, was true.

 10:42 And many believed in him.

 10:42 And many believed on him.
