Numbers 17

1 Aaron's rod among all the rods of the tribes only flourisheth. 10 It is left for a monument against the rebels.

 17:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 17:2 “Speak 1696 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, and get 3947 from them a rod 4294 for each father’s 1 household 1004: twelve 8147 6240 rods 4294, from all 3605 their leaders 5387a according to their fathers’ 1 households 1004. You shall write 3789 each 376 name 8034 on his rod 4294,

 17:3 and write 3789 Aaron’s 175 name 8034 on the rod 4294 of Levi 3878; for there is one 259 rod 4294 for the head 7218 [of each] of their fathers’ 1 households 1004.

 17:4 “You shall then deposit 5117 them in the tent 168 of meeting 4150 in front 6440 of the testimony 5715, where 834 8033 I meet 3259 with you.

 17:5 “It will come 1961 about that the rod 4294 of the man 376 whom 834 I choose 977 will sprout 6524a. Thus I will lessen 7918 from upon Myself the grumblings 8519b of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, who 834 are grumbling 3885b against 5921 you.”

 17:6 Moses 4872 therefore spoke 1696 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, and all 3605 their leaders 5387a gave 5414 him a rod 4294 apiece 259, for each 259 leader 5387a according to their fathers’ 1 households 1004, twelve 8147 6240 rods 4294, with the rod 4294 of Aaron 175 among 8432 their rods 4294.

 17:7 So Moses 4872 deposited 5117 the rods 4294 before 6440 the LORD 3068 in the tent 168 of the testimony 5715.

 17:8 ¶ Now on the next 4283 day 4283 Moses 4872 went 935 into the tent 168 of the testimony 5715; and behold 2009, the rod 4294 of Aaron 175 for the house 1004 of Levi 3878 had sprouted 6524a and put 3318 forth 3318 buds 6525 and produced 6692a blossoms 6692a, and it bore 1580 ripe 1580 almonds 8247.

 17:9 Moses 4872 then brought 3318 out all 3605 the rods 4294 from the presence 6440 of the LORD 3068 to all 3605 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478; and they looked 7200, and each 376 man 376 took 3947 his rod 4294.

 17:10 But the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Put 7725 back 7725 the rod 4294 of Aaron 175 before 6440 the testimony 5715 to be kept 4931 as a sign 226 against the rebels 4805, that you may put 3615 an end 3615 to their grumblings 8519b against 4480 5921 Me, so that they will not die 4191.”

 17:11 Thus Moses 4872 did 6213a; just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 him, so 3651 he did 6213a.

 17:12 ¶ Then the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 spoke 559 to Moses 4872, saying 559, “Behold 2005, we perish 1478, we are dying 6, we are all 3605 dying 6!

 17:13 “Everyone 3605 who comes 7131 near 7131, who comes 7131 near 7131 to the tabernacle 4908 of the LORD 3068, must die 4191. Are we to perish 1478 completely 8552?”
