Numbers 19

1 The water of separation made of ashes of a red heifer. 11 The law for the use of it in purification of the unclean.

 19:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872 and Aaron 175, saying 559,

 19:2 “This 2088 is the statute 2708 of the law 8451 which 834 the LORD 3068 has commanded 6680, saying 559, ‘Speak 1696 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 that they bring 3947 you an unblemished 8549 red 122 heifer 6499 in which 834 is no 369 defect 4140b [and] on which 834 a yoke 5923 has never 3808 been placed 5927.

 19:3 ‘You shall give 5414 it to Eleazar 499 the priest 3548, and it shall be brought 3318 outside 413 4480 2351 the camp 4264 and be slaughtered 7819 in his presence 6440.

 19:4 ‘Next Eleazar 499 the priest 3548 shall take 3947 some 4480 of its blood 1818 with his finger 676 and sprinkle 5137a some 4480 of its blood 1818 toward 413 the front 6440 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 seven 7651 times 6471.

 19:5 ‘Then the heifer 6499 shall be burned 8313 in his sight 5869; its hide 5785 and its flesh 1320 and its blood 1818, with its refuse 6569, shall be burned 8313.

 19:6 ‘The priest 3548 shall take 3947 cedar 730 wood 6086 and hyssop 231 and scarlet 8144 [material] and cast 7993 it into the midst 8432 of the burning 8316 heifer 6499.

 19:7 ‘The priest 3548 shall then wash 3526 his clothes 899b and bathe 7364 his body 1320 in water 4325, and afterward 310 come 935 into the camp 4264, but the priest 3548 shall be unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153.

 19:8 ‘The one who burns 8313 it shall also wash 3526 his clothes 899b in water 4325 and bathe 7364 his body 1320 in water 4325, and shall be unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153.

 19:9 ‘Now a man 376 who is clean 2889 shall gather 622 up the ashes 665 of the heifer 6499 and deposit 5117 them outside 4480 2351 the camp 4264 in a clean 2889 place 4725, and the congregation 5712 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 shall keep 4931 it as water 4325 to remove impurity 5079; it is purification 2403b from sin 2403b.

 19:10 ‘The one who gathers 622 the ashes 665 of the heifer 6499 shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b and be unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153; and it shall be a perpetual 5769 statute 2708 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 and to the alien 1616 who sojourns 1481a among 8432 them.

 19:11 ¶ ‘The one who touches 5060 the corpse 4191 of any 3605 person 5315 120 shall be unclean 2930 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 19:12 ‘That one 1931 shall purify 2398 himself from uncleanness 2398 with the water on the third 7992 day 3117 and on the seventh 7637 day 3117, [and then] he will be clean 2891; but if 518 he does not purify 2398 himself on the third 7992 day 3117 and on the seventh 7637 day 3117, he will not be clean 2891.

 19:13 ‘Anyone 3605 who touches 5060 a corpse 4191, the body 5315 of a man 120 who 834 has died 4191, and does not purify 2398 himself, defiles 2930 the tabernacle 4908 of the LORD 3068; and that person 5315 shall be cut 3772 off 3772 from Israel 3478. Because 3588 the water 4325 for impurity 5079 was not sprinkled 2236b on him, he shall be unclean 2931; his uncleanness 2932a is still 5750 on him.

 19:14 ¶ ‘This 2088 is the law 8451 when 3588 a man 120 dies 4191 in a tent 168: everyone 3605 who comes 935 into the tent 168 and everyone 3605 who 834 is in the tent 168 shall be unclean 2930 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 19:15 ‘Every 3605 open 6605a vessel 3627, which 834 has 369 no 369 covering 6781b tied 6616 down 6616 on it, shall be unclean 2931.

 19:16 ‘Also, anyone 3605 who 834 in the open 6440 field 7704 touches 5060 one 2491a who 2491a has been slain 2491a with a sword 2719 or 176 who has died 4191 [naturally], or 176 a human 120 bone 6106 or 176 a grave 6913, shall be unclean 2930 for seven 7651 days 3117.

 19:17 ‘Then for the unclean 2931 [person] they shall take 3947 some 4480 of the ashes 6083 of the burnt 8316 purification 2403b from sin 2403b and flowing 2416a water 4325 shall be added 5414 to them in a vessel 3627.

 19:18 ‘A clean 2889 person 376 shall take 3947 hyssop 231 and dip 2881 [it] in the water 4325, and sprinkle 5137a [it] on the tent 168 and on all 3605 the furnishings 3627 and on the persons 5315 who 834 were there 8033, and on the one who touched 5060 the bone 6106 or 176 the one 2491a slain 2491a or 176 the one dying 4191 [naturally] or 176 the grave 6913.

 19:19 ‘Then the clean 2889 [person] shall sprinkle 5137a on the unclean 2931 on the third 7992 day 3117 and on the seventh 7637 day 3117; and on the seventh 7637 day 3117 he shall purify 2398 him from uncleanness 2398, and he shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b and bathe 7364 [himself] in water 4325 and shall be clean 2891 by evening 6153.

 19:20 ¶ ‘But the man 376 who 834 is unclean 2930 and does not purify 2398 himself from uncleanness 2398, that person 5315 shall be cut 3772 off 3772 from the midst 8432 of the assembly 6951, because 3588 he has defiled 2930 the sanctuary 4720 of the LORD 3068; the water 4325 for impurity 5079 has not been sprinkled 2236b on him, he is unclean 2931.

 19:21 ‘So it shall be a perpetual 5769 statute 2708 for them. And he who sprinkles 5137a the water 4325 for impurity 5079 shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b, and he who touches 5060 the water 4325 for impurity 5079 shall be unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153.

 19:22 ‘Furthermore, anything 3605 that the unclean 2931 [person] touches 5060 shall be unclean 2930; and the person 5315 who touches 5060 [it] shall be unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153.’”
