  20:1 ¶
And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, |

And Yahwehº

untoº
Moses,º
saying,ºº |
|
20:2
Thou shalt also say to the children of Israel, If [there shall be] any of the children of Israel, or of those who have become proselytes in Israel, who shall give of his seed to Molech{gr.Moloch}, let him be surely put to death; the nation upon the land shall stone him with stones. |

Again, thou shalt sayºº
toº
the childrenº
of Israel,º
Whosoeverº
[he be] of the childrenºº
of Israel,º
or ofº
the strangersº
that sojournºº
in Israel,º
thatº
givethºº
[any] of his seedºº
unto Molech;º
he shall surelyºº
be put to death:ºº
the peopleº
of the landº
shall stoneºº
him with stones.º |

And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given of his seed to Molech{gr.Moloch}, to defile my sanctuary, and profane the name of them that are consecrated to me. |
|

And Iº
will setººº
my faceº
against thatº
man,º
and will cut him offººº
from amongºº
his people;º
becauseº
he hath givenºº
of his seedºº
unto Molech,º
toº
defileººº
my sanctuary,º
and to profaneººº
my holyº
name.º |

20:4
And if the natives of the land should in anywise overlook that man in giving of his seed to Molech{gr.Moloch}, so as not to put him to death; |

20:4
And ifº
the peopleº
of the landº
do any waysºº
hideººº
their eyesº
from the man,ººº
when he givethºº
of his seedºº
unto Molech,º
and killºº
him not:º |
|
20:5
then will I set my face against that man and his family, and I will destroy him, and all who have been of one mind with him, so that he should go a whoring to the princes, from their people. |
|
20:5
Then Iº
will setººº
my faceº
against thatº
man,º
and against his family,º
and will cut him off,ººº
and allº
that go a whoringºº
afterº
him, to commit whoredomºº
withº
Molech,º
from amongºº
their people.º |
|
20:6 ¶
And the soul that shall follow those who have in them divining spirits, or enchanters, so as to go a whoring after them; I will set my face against that soul, and will destroy it from among its people. |
|
20:6 ¶
And the soulº
thatº
turnethºº
afterº
such as have familiar spirits,º
and afterºº
wizards,º
to go a whoringºº
afterº
them, I will even setººº
my faceº
against thatº
soul,º
and will cut him offººº
from amongºº
his people.º |

20:7 ¶
And ye shall be holy, for I the Lord your God [am] holy. |
|
20:7 ¶
Sanctifyºº
yourselvesº
therefore, and beº
ye holy:º
forº
Iº
[am] Yahwehº
your Elohim.º |
|
20:8
And ye shall observe my ordinances, and do them: I [am] the Lord that sanctifies you. |
|

And ye shall keepººº
my statutes,º
and doºº
them: Iº
[am] Yahwehº
Mekaddishkem.ºº |
|
20:9 ¶
Every man who shall speak evil of his father or of his mother, let him die the death; has he spoken evil of his father or his mother? he shall be guilty. |
|
20:9 ¶
Forº
everyº
oneº
thatº
cursethººº
his fatherº
or his motherº
shall be surelyºº
put to death:ºº
he hath cursedºº
his fatherº
or his mother;º
his bloodº
[shall be] upon him. |

20:10 ¶
Whatever man shall commit adultery with the wife of a man, or whoever shall commit adultery with the wife of his neighbour, let them die the death, the adulterer and the adulteress. |
|
20:10 ¶
And the manº
thatº
committeth adulteryºº
withº
[another] man'sº
wife,º
[even he] thatº
committeth adulteryºº
withº
his neighbour'sº
wife,º
the adultererºº
and the adulteressºº
shall surelyºº
be put to death.ºº |

20:11
And if any one should lie with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness: let them both die the death, they are guilty. |

And the manº

his father'sº
wifeº
hath uncoveredºº
his father'sº
nakedness:º
bothº
of them shall surelyºº
be put to death;ºº
their bloodº
[shall be] upon them. |

20:12
And if any one should lie with his daughter-in-law, let them both be put to death; for they have wrought impiety, they are guilty. |
|
20:12
And ifº
a manº
lieºº
withº
his daughter in law,º
bothº
of them shall surelyºº
be put to death:ºº
they have wroughtºº
confusion;º
their bloodº
[shall be] upon them. |
|
20:13
And whoever shall lie with a male as with a woman, they have both wrought abomination; let them die the death, they are guilty. |
|
20:13
Ifº
a manº
also lieºº
withº
mankind,º
as he liethº
with a woman,º
bothº
of them have committedºº
an abomination:º
they shall surelyºº
be put to death;ºº
their bloodº
[shall be] upon them. |
|
20:14
Whosoever shall take a woman and her mother, it is iniquity: they shall burn him and them with fire; so there shall not be iniquity among you. |
|
20:14
And ifº
a manº
takeººº
a wifeº
and her mother,º
itº
[is] wickedness:º
they shall be burntºº
with fire,º
both he and they; that there beº
noº
wickednessº
amongº
you. |

20:15
And whosoever shall lie with a beast, let him die the death; and ye shall kill the beast. |
|
20:15
And ifº
a manº
lieººº
with a beast,º
he shall surelyºº
be put to death:ºº
and ye shall slayºº
the beast.º |
|
20:16
And whatever woman shall approach any beast, so as to have connexion with it, ye shall kill the woman and the beast: let them die the death, they are guilty. |
|

And ifº
a womanº
approachºº
untoº
anyº
beast,º
and lie downºº
thereto, thou shalt killººº
the woman,º
and the beast:º
they shall surelyºº
be put to death;ºº
their bloodº
[shall be] upon them. |

20:17
Whosoever shall take his sister by his father or by his mother, and shall see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness, it is a reproach: they shall be destroyed before the children of their family; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, they shall bear their sin. |
|
20:17
And ifº

shall takeººº
his sister,º
his father'sº
daughter,º
orº
his mother'sº
daughter,º
and seeººº
her nakedness,º
and sheº
seeººº
his nakedness;º
itº
[is] a wicked thing;º
and they shall be cut offºº
in the sightº
of their people:ºº
he hath uncoveredºº
his sister'sº
nakedness;º
he shall bearºº
his iniquity.º |

And whatever man shall lie with a woman that is set apart [for a flux], and shall uncover her nakedness, he has uncovered her fountain, and she has uncovered the flux of her blood: they shall both be destroyed from among their generation. |
|

having her sickness,º
and shall uncoverººº
her nakedness;º
he hath discoveredººº
her fountain,º
and sheº
hath uncoveredººº
the fountainº
of her blood:º
and bothº
of them shall be cut offºº
from amongºº

And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister, or of the sister of thy mother; for that man has uncovered the nakedness of one near akin: they shall bear their iniquity. |
|
20:19
And thou shalt notº
uncoverºº
the nakednessº
of thy mother'sº
sister,º
nor of thy father'sº
sister:º
forº
he uncoverethººº
his near kin:º
they shall bearºº
their iniquity.º |
|
20:20
Whosoever shall lie with his near kinswoman, has uncovered the nakedness of one near akin to him: they shall die childless. |
|
20:20
And ifº
a manº
shall lieºº
withº
his uncle's wife,º
he hath uncoveredºº
his uncle'sº
nakedness:º
they shall bearºº
their sin;º
they shall dieºº
childless.º |
|
20:21
Whoever shall take his brother's wife, it is uncleanness; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall die childless. |
|
20:21
And ifº
a manº
shall takeººº
his brother'sº
wife,º
itº
[is] an unclean thing:º
he hath uncoveredºº
his brother'sº
nakedness;º
they shall beº
childless.º |
|
20:22 ¶
And keep ye all my ordinances, and my judgments; and ye shall do them, and the land shall not be aggrieved with you, into which I bring you to dwell upon it. |
|
20:22 ¶
Ye shall therefore keepººº
allº
my statutes,º
and allº
my judgments,º
and doºº
them: that the land,º
whitherºº
Iº
bringºº
you to dwellºº
therein, spue you not out.ºººº |

20:23
And walk ye not in the customs of the nations which I drive out from before you; for they have done all these things, and I have abhorred them: |
|
20:23
And ye shall notº
walkººº
in the mannersº
of the nation,º
whichº
Iº
cast outºº
beforeºº
you: forº
they committedººº
allº
these things,º
and therefore I abhorredºº
them. |

20:24
and I said to you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you for a possession, [even] a land flowing with milk and honey: I [am] the Lord your God, who have separated you from all people. |
|
20:24
But I have saidºº
unto you, Yeº
shall inheritººº
their land,º
and Iº
will giveºº
it unto you to possessºº
it, a landº
that flowethºº
with milkº
and honey:º
Iº
[am] Yahwehº
your Elohim,º
whichº
have separatedºº
you fromº
[other] people.º |

20:25
And ye shall make a distinction between the clean and the unclean cattle, and between clean and unclean birds; and ye shall not defile your souls with cattle, or with birds, or with any creeping things of the earth, which I have separated for you by reason of uncleanness. |
|
20:25
Ye shall therefore put differenceºº
betweenº
cleanº
beastsº
and unclean,º
and betweenº
uncleanº
fowlsº
and clean:º
and ye shall notº
make your soulsº
abominableºººº
by beast,º
or by fowl,º
or by any mannerº
of living thing that creepethººº
on the ground,º
whichº
I have separatedºº
from you as unclean.ºº |

And ye shall be holy to me; because I the Lord your God [am] holy, who separated you from all nations, to be mine. |

And ye shall beº
holyº
unto me: forº
Iº
Yahwehº
[am] holy,º
and have severedºº
you fromº
[other] people,º
that ye should beº
mine. |

20:27 ¶
And [as for] a man or woman whosoever of them shall have in them a divining spirit, or be an enchanter, let them both die the death: ye shall stone them with stones, they are guilty. |

A manº
also orº

thatº
