 22:1 ¶
And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, |
|
 22:1 ¶
And Yahwehº
spakeºº
untoº
Moses,º
saying,ºº |
 22:2
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and let them take heed concerning the holy things of the children of Israel, so they shall not profane my holy name in any of the things which they consecrate to me: I [am] the Lord. |
 22:2
Speakºº
untoº
Aaronº
and toº
his sons,º
that they separateºº
themselvesº
from the holy thingsºº
of the childrenº
of Israel,º
and that they profaneºº
notºº
my holyº
nameº
[in those things] whichº
theyº
hallowºº
unto me: Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
 22:3
Say to them, Every man throughout your generations, whoever of all your seed shall approach to the holy things, whatsoever the children of Israel shall consecrate to the Lord, while his uncleanness is upon him, that soul shall be cut off from me: I [am] the Lord your God. |
 22:3
Sayºº
untoº
them, Whosoeverºº
[he be] of allºº
your seedº
among your generations,º
thatº
goethºº
untoº
the holy things,º
whichº
the childrenº
of Israelº
hallowºº
unto Yahweh,º
having his uncleannessº
uponº
him, thatº
soulº
shall be cut offºº
from my presence:ºº
Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
 22:4
And the man of the seed of Aaron the priest, if he should have leprosy or issue of the reins, shall not eat of the holy things, until he be cleansed; and he that touches any uncleanness of a dead body, or the man whose seed of copulation shall have gone out from him, |
 22:4
What man soeverº
of the seedºº
of Aaronº
[is] a leper,ºº
orº
hath a running issue;ºº
he shall notº
eatºº
of the holy things,º
untilºº
he be clean.ºº
And whoso touchethºº
any thingº
[that is] uncleanº
[by] the dead,º
orº
a manº
whoseº
seedºº
goethºº
fromº
him; |
 22:5
or whosoever shall touch any unclean reptile, which will defile him, or [who shall touch] a man, whereby he shall defile him according to all his uncleanness: |
 22:5
Orº
whosoeverºº
touchethºº
anyº
creeping thing,º
wherebyº
he may be made unclean,ºº
orº
a manº
of whomº
he may take uncleanness,ºº
whatsoeverº
uncleannessº
he hath; |
 22:6
whatsoever soul shall touch them shall be unclean until evening; he shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his body in water, |
 22:6
The soulº
whichº
hath touchedºº
any such shall be uncleanºº
untilº
even,º
and shall notº
eatºº
ofº
the holy things,º
unlessºº
he washºº
his fleshº
with water.º |
 22:7
and the sun go down, and then he shall be clean; and then shall he eat of all the holy things, for they are his bread. |
 22:7
And when the sunº
is down,ºº
he shall be clean,ºº
and shall afterwardº
eatºº
ofº
the holy things;º
becauseº
itº
[is] his food.º |
 22:8
He shall not eat that which dies of itself, or is taken of beasts, so that he should be polluted by them: I [am] the Lord. |
 22:8
That which dieth of itself,º
or is tornº
[with beasts], he shall notº
eatºº
to defileºº
himself therewith: Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
 22:9
And they shall keep my ordinances, that they do not bear iniquity because of them, and die because of them, if they shall profane them: I [am] the Lord God that sanctifies them. |
 22:9
They shall therefore keepººº
mine ordinance,º
lestº
they bearºº
sinº
forº
it, and dieºº
therefore, ifº
they profaneºº
it: Iº
Yahwehº
Mekaddishkem.ºº |
 22:10
And no stranger shall eat the holy things: one that sojourns with a priest, or a hireling, shall not eat the holy things. |
 22:10
There shall noºº
strangerºº
eatºº
[of] the holy thing:º
a sojournerº
of the priest,º
or an hired servant,º
shall notº
eatºº
[of] the holy thing.º |
 22:11
But if a priest should have a soul purchased for money, he shall eat of his bread; and they that are born in his house, they also shall eat of his bread. |
 22:11
But ifº
the priestº
buyºº
[any] soulº
withº
his money,ºº
heº
shall eatºº
of it, and he that is bornº
in his house:º
theyº
shall eatºº
of his meat.º |
 22:12
And if the daughter of a priest should marry a stranger, she shall not eat of the offerings of the sanctuary. |
 22:12
Ifº
the priest'sº
daughterº
also beº
[married] unto a stranger,ººº
sheº
may notº
eatºº
of an offeringº
of the holy things.º |
 22:13
And if the daughter of priest should be a widow, or put away, and have no seed, she shall return to her father's house, as in her youth: she shall eat of her father's bread, but no stranger shall eat of it. |
 22:13
But ifº
the priest'sº
daughterº
beº
a widow,º
or divorced,ºº
and have noº
child,º
and is returnedºº
untoº
her father'sº
house,º
as in her youth,º
she shall eatºº
of her father'sº
meat:ººº
but there shall noºº
strangerºº
eatºº
thereof. |
 22:14 ¶
And the man who shall ignorantly eat holy things, shall add the fifth part to it, and give the holy thing to the priest. |
 22:14 ¶
And ifº
a manº
eatºº
[of] the holy thingº
unwittingly,º
then he shall putºº
the fifthº
[part] thereof untoº
it, and shall giveºº
[it] unto the priestºº
with the holy thing.º |
 22:15
And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer to the Lord. |
 22:15
And they shall notº
profaneººº
the holy thingsº
of the childrenº
of Israel,ºº
whichº
they offerºº
unto Yahweh;º |
 22:16
So should they bring upon themselves the iniquity of trespass in their eating their holy things: for I [am] the Lord that sanctifies them. |
 22:16
Or suffer them to bearºº
the iniquityº
of trespass,º
when they eatººº
their holy things:º
forº
Iº
Yahwehº
Mekaddishkem.ºº |
 22:17 ¶
And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, |
 22:17 ¶
And Yahwehº
spakeºº
untoº
Moses,º
saying,ºº |
 22:18
Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the congregation of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Any man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that abide among them in Israel, who shall offer his gifts according to all their confession and according to all their choice, whatsoever they may bring to the Lord for whole-burnt-offerings-- |
 22:18
Speakºº
untoº
Aaron,º
and toº
his sons,º
and untoº
allº
the childrenº
of Israel,º
and sayºº
untoº
them, Whatsoeverº
[he be] of the houseºº
of Israel,º
or ofº
the strangersº
in Israel,º
thatº
will offerºº
his oblationº
for allº
his vows,º
and for allº
his freewill offerings,º
whichº
they will offerºº
unto Yahwehº
for a burnt offering;º |
 22:19
your free-will-offerings [shall] be males without blemish of the herds, or of the sheep, or of the goats. |
 22:19
[Ye shall offer] at your own willº
a maleº
without blemish,º
of the beeves,º
of the sheep,º
or of the goats.º |
 22:20
They shall not bring to the Lord anything that has a blemish in it, for it shall not be acceptable for you. |
 22:20
[But] whatsoeverºº
hath a blemish,º
[that] shall ye notº
offer:ºº
forº
it shall notº
beº
acceptableº
for you. |
 22:21
And whatsoever man shall offer a peace-offering to the Lord, discharging a vow, or in the way of free-will-offering, or an offering in your feasts, of the herds or of the sheep, it shall be without blemish for acceptance: there shall be no blemish in it. |
 22:21
And whosoeverºº
offerethºº
a sacrificeº
of peace offeringsº
unto Yahwehº
to accomplishºº
[his] vow,º
orº
a freewill offeringº
in beevesº
orº
sheep,º
it shall beº
perfectº
to be accepted;º
there shall beº
noºº
blemishº
therein. |
 22:22
One that is blind, or broken, or has its tongue cut out, or is troubled with warts, or has a malignant ulcer, or tetters, they shall not offer these to the Lord; neither shall ye offer any of them for a burnt-offering on the altar of the Lord. |
 22:22
Blind,º
orº
broken,ºº
orº
maimed,ºº
orº
having a wen,º
orº
scurvy,º
orº
scabbed,º
ye shall notº
offerºº
theseº
unto Yahweh,º
norº
makeºº
an offering by fireº
ofº
them uponº
the altarº
unto Yahweh.º |
 22:23
And a calf or a sheep with the ears cut off, or that has lost its tail, thou shalt slay them for thyself; but they shall not be accepted for thy vow. |
 22:23
Either a bullockº
or a lambº
that hath any thing superfluousºº
or lacking in his parts,ºº
that mayest thou offerºº
[for] a freewill offering;º
but for a vowº
it shall notº
be accepted.ºº |
 22:24
That which has broken testicles, or is crushed or gelt or mutilated,-- thou shalt not offer them to the Lord, neither shall ye sacrifice them upon your land. |
 22:24
Ye shall notº
offerºº
unto Yahwehº
that which is bruised,ºº
or crushed,ºº
or broken,ºº
or cut;ºº
neitherº
shall ye makeºº
[any offering thereof] in your land.º |
 22:25
Neither shall ye offer the gifts of your God of all these things by the hand of a stranger, because there is corruption in them, a blemish in them: these shall not be accepted for you. |
 22:25
Neitherº
from a stranger'sº
handºººº
shall ye offerººº
the breadº
of your Elohimº
of anyºº
of these;º
becauseº
their corruptionº
[is] in them, [and] blemishesº
[be] in them: they shall notº
be acceptedºº
for you. |
 22:26 ¶
And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, |
 22:26 ¶
And Yahwehº
spakeºº
untoº
Moses,º
saying,ºº |
 22:27
As for a calf, or a sheep, or a goat, whenever it is born, then shall it be seven days under its mother; and on the eighth day and after they shall be accepted for sacrifices, a burnt-offering to the Lord. |
 22:27
Whenº
a bullock,º
orº
a sheep,º
orº
a goat,º
is brought forth,ºº
then it shall beº
sevenº
daysº
underº
the dam;º
and from the eighthº
dayººº
and thenceforthº
it shall be acceptedºº
for an offeringº
made by fireº
unto Yahweh.º |
 22:28
And a bullock and a ewe, it and its young, thou shalt not kill in one day. |
 22:28
And [whether it be] cowº
orº
ewe,º
ye shall notº
killºº
it and her youngº
both in oneº
day.º |
 22:29
And if thou shouldest offer a sacrifice, a vow of rejoicing to the Lord, ye shall offer it so as to be accepted for you. |
 22:29
And whenº
ye will offerºº
a sacrificeº
of thanksgivingº
unto Yahweh,º
offerºº
[it] at your own will.º |
 22:30
In that same day it shall be eaten; ye shall not leave of the flesh till the morrow: I am the Lord. |
 22:30
On the sameº
dayº
it shall be eaten up;ºº
ye shall leaveºº
noneº
ofº
it untilº
the morrow:º
Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
 22:31
And ye shall keep my commandments and do them. |
 22:31
Therefore shall ye keepºº
my commandments,º
and doºº
them: Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
 22:32
And ye shall not profane the name of the Holy One, and I will be sanctified in the midst of the children of Israel. I [am] the Lord that sanctifies you, |
 22:32
Neitherº
shall ye profaneººº
my holyº
name;º
but I will be hallowedºº
amongº
the childrenº
of Israel:º
Iº
[am] Yahwehº
Mekaddishkem,ºº |
 22:33
who brought you out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, to be your God: I [am] the Lord. |
 22:33
That brought you outººº
of the landºº
of Egypt,º
to beº
your Elohim:º
Iº
[am] Yahweh.º |
