 15:1 ¶ [This] then wasº the lotº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº by their families;º [even] toº the borderº of ´Éðôm אֱדוֹםº the wildernessº of Xin צִןº southwardº [was] the uttermost partºº of the south coast.º

 15:1 ¶ [This] then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Yehudah by their families; [even] to the border of Edom the wilderness of Tzin southward [was] the uttermost part of the south coast.

 15:2 And their southº borderº wasº from the shoreºº of the saltº sea,º fromº the bayº that lookethºº southward:º

 15:2 And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:

 15:3 And it went outºº toº the south sideºº to Ma`álì `Akrabbîm מַעֲלֵה־עַקרַבִּים,º and passedºº alongº to Xin צִן,º and ascended upºº on the south sideºº unto Käðëš Barnëå` קָדֵשׁ־בַּרנֵעַ,º and passedºº alongº to Çexrôn חֶצרוֹן,º and went upºº to ´Addär אַדָּר,º and fetched a compassºº to Karkä`à קַרקָעָה:º

 15:3 And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-Aqrabbim, and passed along to Tzin, and ascended up on the south side unto Qadesh-Barnea, and passed along to Chetzron, and went up to Addar, and fetched a compass to Qarqaah:

 15:4 [From thence] it passedºº towardº `Axmôn עַצמוֹן,º and went outºº unto the riverº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם;º and the goings outº of that coastº wereº at the sea:º thisº shall beº your southº coast.º

 15:4 [From thence] it passed toward Atzmon, and went out unto the river of Mitzrayim; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

 15:5 And the eastº borderº [was] the saltº sea,º [even] untoº the endº of Yardën יַרדֵּן.º And [their] borderº in the northº quarterº [was] from the bayºº of the seaº at the uttermost partºº of Yardën יַרדֵּן:º

 15:5 And the east border [was] the salt sea, [even] unto the end of Yarden. And [their] border in the north quarter [was] from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Yarden:

 15:6 And the borderº went upºº to Bê± Çoqlà בֵּית־חָגלָה,º and passedºº alongº by the northºº of Bê± `Árävà בֵּית־עֲרָבָה;º and the borderº went upºº to the stoneº of Böhan בֹּהַןº the sonº of Ræ´ûvën רְאוּבֵן:º

 15:6 And the border went up to Beth-Choglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-Aravah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuven:

 15:7 And the borderº went upºº toward Dævîr דְּבִירº from the valleyºº of `Ä¢ôr עָכוֹר,º and so northward,º lookingºº towardº Gilgäl גִּלגָּל,º thatº [is] beforeº the going upº to ´Áðummîm אֲדֻמִּים,º whichº [is] on the south sideºº of the river:º and the borderº passedºº towardº the watersº of `Ên Šemeš עֵין־שֶׁמֶשׁ,º and the goings outº thereof wereº atº `Ên Röqël עֵין־רֹגֵל:º

 15:7 And the border went up toward Devir from the valley of Akhor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that [is] before the going up to Adummim, which [is] on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-Shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-Rogel:

 15:8 And the borderº went upºº by the valleyº of the sonº of Hinnöm הִנֹּםº untoº the southºº sideº of the Yævûsî יְבוּסִי;º the sameº [is] Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם:º and the borderº went upºº toº the topº of the mountainº thatº [lieth] beforeºº the valleyº of Hinnöm הִנֹּםº westward,º whichº [is] at the endº of the valleyº of the giantsº northward:º

 15:8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Yevusi; the same [is] Yerushalaim: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that [lieth] before the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

 15:9 And the borderº was drawnºº from the topºº of the hillº untoº the fountainº of the waterº of Neftôåç נֶפתּוֹחַ,º and went outºº toº the citiesº of mountº `Efrôn עֶפרוֹן;º and the borderº was drawnºº to Ba`álà בַּעֲלָה,º whichº [is] Kirya± Yæ`ärîm קִריַת־יְעָרִים:º

 15:9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Neftoach, and went out to the cities of mount Efron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which [is] Qiryath-Yearim:

 15:10 And the borderº compassedºº from Ba`álà בַּעֲלָהºº westwardº untoº mountº §ë`îr שֵׂעִיר,º and passedºº alongº untoº the sideº of mountº Yæ`ärîm יְעָרִים,º whichº [is] Cæsälôn כְּסָלוֹן,º on the north side,ºº and went downºº to Bê± Šemeš בֵּית־שֶׁמֶשׁ,º and passed onºº to Timnà תִּמנָה:º

 15:10 And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Yearim, which [is] Kesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-Shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:

 15:11 And the borderº went outºº untoº the sideº of `Ekrôn עֶקרוֹןº northward:º and the borderº was drawnºº to Šiccærôn שִׁכְּרוֹן,º and passed alongºº to mountº Ba`álà בַּעֲלָה,º and went outºº unto Yavnæ´ël יַבנְאֵל;º and the goings outº of the borderº wereº at the sea.º

 15:11 And the border went out unto the side of Eqron northward: and the border was drawn to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Yavneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

 15:12 And the westº borderº [was] to the greatº sea,º and the coastº [thereof]. Thisº [is] the coastº of the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº round aboutº according to their families.º

 15:12 And the west border [was] to the great sea, and the coast [thereof]. This [is] the coast of the children of Yehudah round about according to their families.

 15:13 ¶ And unto Cälëv כָּלֵבº the sonº of Yæfunnè יְפֻנֶּהº he gaveºº a partº amongº the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָה,º accordingº to the commandmentº of Yähwè יָהוֶהº to Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ,º [even]º the cityº of ´Arba` אַרבַּעººº the fatherº of `Ánäk עֲנָק,º whichº [city is] Çevrôn חֶברוֹן.º

 15:13 ¶ And unto Kalev the son of Yefunneh he gave a part among the children of Yehudah, according to the commandment of Yahweh to Yehoshua, [even] the city of Arba the father of Anaq, which [city is] Chevron.

 15:14 And Cälëv כָּלֵבº droveºº thenceººº the threeº sonsº of `Ánäk עֲנָק,ºº Šëšay שֵׁשַׁי,º and ´Áçîman אֲחִימַן,º and Talmay תַּלמַי,º the childrenº of `Ánäk עֲנָק.º

 15:14 And Kalev drove thence the three sons of Anaq, Sheshay, and Achiman, and Talmay, the children of Anaq.

 15:15 And he went upºº thenceºº toº the inhabitantsºº of Dævîr דְּבִיר:º and the nameº of Dævîr דְּבִירº beforeº [was] Kirya± Sëfer קִריַת־סֵפֶר.º

 15:15 And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Devir: and the name of Devir before [was] Qiryath-Sefer.

 15:16 ¶ And Cälëv כָּלֵבº said,ºº He thatº smitethººº Kirya± Sëfer קִריַת־סֵפֶר,º and takethºº it, to him will I giveººº `A¢sà עַכסָהº my daughterº to wife.º

 15:16 ¶ And Kalev said, He that smiteth Qiryath-Sefer, and taketh it, to him will I give Akhsah my daughter to wife.

 15:17 And `O±nî´ël עָתנִיאֵלº the sonº of Kænaz קְנַז,º the brotherº of Cälëv כָּלֵב,º tookºº it: and he gaveºº himº `A¢sà עַכסָהº his daughterº to wife.º

 15:17 And Othniel the son of Qenaz, the brother of Kalev, took it: and he gave him Akhsah his daughter to wife.

 15:18 And it came to pass,º as she cameºº [unto him], that she movedºº him to askºº ofºº her fatherº a field:º and she lightedº offºººº [her] ass;º and Cälëv כָּלֵבº saidºº unto her, Whatº wouldest thou?

 15:18 And it came to pass, as she came [unto him], that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off [her] ass; and Kalev said unto her, What wouldest thou?

 15:19 Who answered,ºº Giveºº me a blessing;º forº thou hast givenºº me a southº land;º giveºº me also springsº of water.º And he gaveºº herº the upperº springs,º and the netherº springs.º

 15:19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.

 15:20 Thisº [is] the inheritanceº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº according to their families.º

 15:20 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Yehudah according to their families.

 15:21 And the uttermostºº citiesº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº towardº the coastº of ´Éðôm אֱדוֹםº southwardº wereº Kavxæ´ël קַבצְאֵל,º and `Ëðer עֵדֶר,º and Yäqûr יָגוּר,º

 15:21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Yehudah toward the coast of Edom southward were Qavtzeel, and Eder, and Yagur,

 15:22 And Kînà קִינָה,º and Dîmônà דִּימוֹנָה,º and `Að`äðà עַדעָדָה,º

 15:22 And Qinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

 15:23 And Keðeš קֶדֶשׁ,º and Çäxôr חָצוֹר,º and Yi±nän יִתנָן,º

 15:23 And Qedesh, and Chatzor, and Yithnan,

 15:24 Zîf זִיף,º and †elem טֶלֶם,º and Bæ`älô± בְּעָלוֹת,º

 15:24 Zif, and Telem, and Bealoth,

 15:25 And Çäxôr חָצוֹר,º Çáðattà חֲדַתָּה,º and Kæriyyô± קְרִיּוֹת,º [and] Çexrôn חֶצרוֹן,º whichº [is] Çäxôr חָצוֹר,º

 15:25 And Chatzor, Chadattah, and Qeriyyoth, [and] Chetzron, which [is] Chatzor,

 15:26 ´Ámäm אֲמָם,º and Šæma` שְׁמַע,º and Môläðà מוֹלָדָה,º

 15:26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,

 15:27 And Çáxar Gaddà חֲצַר־גַּדָּה,º and Çešmôn חֶשׁמוֹן,º and Bê± Päle+ בֵּית־פָּלֶט,º

 15:27 And Chatzar-Gaddah, and Cheshmon, and Beth-Palet,

 15:28 And Çáxar Šû`äl חֲצַר־שׁוּעָל,º and Bæ´ër Ševa` בְּאֵר־שֶׁבַע,º and Bizyô±yà בִּזיוֹתיָה,º

 15:28 And Chatzar-Shual, and Beer-Sheva, and Bizyothyah,

 15:29 Ba`álà בַּעֲלָה,º and `Iyyîm עִיִּים,º and `Äxem עָצֶם,º

 15:29 Baalah, and Iyyim, and Atzem,

 15:30 And ´Eltôlað אֶלתּוֹלַד,º and Cæsîl כְּסִיל,º and Çormà חָרמָה,º

 15:30 And Eltolad, and Kesil, and Chormah,

 15:31 And Xîklaq צִיקלַג,º and Maðmannà מַדמַנָּה,º and Sansannà סַנסַנָּה,º

 15:31 And Tziqlag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

 15:32 And Lævä´ô± לְבָאוֹת,º and Šilçîm שִׁלחִים,º and `Ayin עַיִן,º and Rimmôn רִמּוֹן:º allº the citiesº [are] twentyº and nine,º with their villages:º

 15:32 And Levaoth, and Shilchim, and Ayin, and Rimmon: all the cities [are] twenty and nine, with their villages:

 15:33 [And] in the valley,º ´Eštä´ôl אֶשׁתָּאוֹל,º and Xor`à צָרעָה,º and ´Ašnà אַשׁנָה,º

 15:33 [And] in the valley, Eshtaol, and Tzorah, and Ashnah,

 15:34 And Zänôåç זָנוֹחַ,º and `Ên Gannîm עֵין־גַּנִּים,º Tappûåç תַּפּוּחַ,º and `Ênäm עֵינָם,º

 15:34 And Zanoach, and En-Gannim, Tappuach, and Enam,

 15:35 Yarmû± יַרמוּת,º and `Áðulläm עֲדֻלָּם,º §ô¢ò שׂוֹכֹה,º and `Ázëkà עֲזֵקָה,º

 15:37 Xænän צְנָן,º and Çáðäšà חֲדָשָׁה,º and Miqdal Gäð מִגדַּל־גָּד,º

 15:37 Tzenan, and Chadashah, and Migdal-Gad,

 15:38 And Dil`än דִּלעָן,º and Mixpà מִצפָּה,º and Yok±æ´ël יָקתְאֵל,º

 15:38 And Dilan, and Mitzpah, and Yoqtheel,

 15:59 And Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Elteqon; six cities with their villages:

 15:60 Kirya± Ba`al קִריַת־בַּעַל,º whichº [is] Kirya± Yæ`ärîm קִריַת־יְעָרִים,º and Rabbà רַבָּה;º twoº citiesº with their villages:º

 15:60 Qiryath-Baal, which [is] Qiryath-Yearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:

 15:61 In the wilderness,º Bê± `Árävà בֵּית־עֲרָבָה,º Middîn מִדִּין,º and Sæ¢ä¢à סְכָכָה,º

 15:61 In the wilderness, Beth-Aravah, Middin, and Sekhakhah,

 15:62 And Nivšän נִבשָׁן,º and the cityº of Melaç מֶלַח,º and `Ên Geðî עֵין־גֶּדִי;º sixº citiesº with their villages.º

 15:62 And Nivshan, and the city of Melach, and En-Gedi; six cities with their villages.

 15:63 ¶ As for the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִיםº the inhabitantsºº of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם,º the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº couldºººº notº drive them out:ºº but the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִיםº dwellºº withº the childrenº of Yæhûðà יְהוּדָהº at Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַםº untoº thisº day.º

 15:63 ¶ As for the Yevusim the inhabitants of Yerushalaim, the children of Yehudah could not drive them out: but the Yevusim dwell with the children of Yehudah at Yerushalaim unto this day.
