And the whole congregation of the children of Yisrael assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them. |

And there remainedºº
among the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
sevenº
tribes,º
whichº
had notº
yet receivedººº
their inheritance.º |

And there remained among the children of Yisrael seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. |

[are] yeº
slackºº
to goºº
to possessººº
the land,º

of your fathersº
hath givenºº

And Yehoshua said unto the children of Yisrael, How long [are] ye slack to go to possess the land, which Yahweh Elohim of your fathers hath given you? |

Giveº
outºº
from among you threeº
menºº
for [each] tribe:º
and I will sendºº
them, and they shall rise,ºº
and goºº
through the land,º
and describeºº
it accordingº
to the inheritanceº
of them; and they shall comeºº
[again] toº
me. |

Give out from among you three men for [each] tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come [again] to me. |

18:5
And they shall divideºº
it into sevenº
parts:º

shall abideºº
inº
their coastº
on the south,ºº
and the houseº
of
Yôsëf
יוֹסֵףº
shall abideºº
inº
their coastsº
on the north.ºº |

And they shall divide it into seven parts: Yehudah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Yosef shall abide in their coasts on the north. |

the landº
[into] sevenº
parts,º
and bringºº
[the description] hitherº
toº
me, that I may castºº
lotsº
for you hereº
beforeº

Ye shall therefore describe the land [into] seven parts, and bring [the description] hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before Yahweh our Elohim. |

the priesthoodº

Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
[is] their inheritance:º

But the Lewiyyim have no part among you; for the priesthood of Yahweh [is] their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuven, and half the tribe of Menashsheh, have received their inheritance beyond Yarden on the east, which Mosheh the servant of Yahweh gave them. |

And the men arose, and went away: and Yehoshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before Yahweh in Shiloh. |

it by citiesº
into sevenº

a book,º
and cameºº
[again] toº

And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came [again] to Yehoshua to the host at Shiloh. |

And Yehoshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Yahweh: and there Yehoshua divided the land unto the children of Yisrael according to their divisions. |

according to their families:º
and the coastº

And the lot of the tribe of the children of Binyamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Yehudah and the children of Yosef. |
