 2:1 way'hiy haYôm waYävoû B'nëy häélohiym l'hit'yaTZëv al-y'hwäh waYävô gam-haSäţän B'tokhäm l'hit'yaTZëv al-y'hwäh

 2:1 ¶ Again there was x1961 a day 3117 when the sons 1121 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 came 935 z8799 to present y3320 z8692 themselves x3320 before x5921 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and Ŝäţän שָׂטָן 7854 came 935 z8799 also x1571 among 8432 them to present y3320 z8692 himself x3320 before x5921 Yähwè יָהוֶה. 3068

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־הַשָּׂטָן אֵי מִזֶּה תָּבֹא וַיַּעַן הַשָּׂטָן אֶת־יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר מִשֻּׁט בָּאָרֶץ וּמֵהִתְהַלֵּךְ בָּהּ

 2:2 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Ŝäţän שָׂטָן, 7854 From whence 335 x4480 x2088 comest 935 z8799 thou? And Ŝäţän שָׂטָן 7854 answered 6030 z8799 x853 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 From going to and fro 7751 z8800 x4480 in the earth, 776 and from walking up and down 1980 z8692 x4480 in it.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־הַשָּׂטָן הֲשַׂמְתָּ לִבְּךָ אֶל־עַבְדִּי אִיּוֹב כִּי אֵין כָּמֹהוּ בָּאָרֶץ אִישׁ תָּם וְיָשָׁר יְרֵא אֱלֹהִים וְסָר מֵרָע וְעֹדֶנּוּ מַחֲזִיק בְּתֻמָּתוֹ וַתְּסִיתֵנִי בוֹ לְבַלְּעוֹ חִנָּם

 2:3 waYomer y'hwäh el-haSäţän hásam'Tä liB'khä el-av'Diy iYôv Kiy ëyn Kämohû Bääretz iysh Täm w'yäshär y'rë élohiym w'šär mërä w'odeNû macháziyq B'tuMätô waT'šiytëniy vô l'vaL'ô chiNäm

וַיַּעַן הַשָּׂטָן אֶת־יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר עוֹר בְּעַד־עוֹר וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר לָאִישׁ יִתֵּן בְּעַד נַפְשׁוֹ

אוּלָם שְׁלַח־נָא יָדְךָ וְגַע אֶל־עַצְמוֹ וְאֶל־בְּשָׂרוֹ אִם־לֹא אֶל־פָּנֶיךָ יְבָרֲכֶךָּ

 2:5 ûläm sh'lach-nä yäd'khä w'ga el-atz'mô w'el-B'särô im-lo el-Päneykhä y'värákheKä

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־הַשָּׂטָן הִנּוֹ בְיָדֶךָ אַךְ אֶת־נַפְשׁוֹ שְׁמֹר

וַיֵּצֵא הַשָּׂטָן מֵאֵת פְּנֵי יְהוָה וַיַּךְ אֶת־אִיּוֹב בִּשְׁחִין רָע מִכַּף רַגְלוֹ *עַד [וְעַד] קָדְקֳדוֹ

וַיִּקַּח־לוֹ חֶרֶשׂ לְהִתְגָּרֵד בּוֹ וְהוּא יֹשֵׁב בְּתוֹךְ־הָאֵפֶר

וַתֹּאמֶר לוֹ אִשְׁתּוֹ עֹדְךָ מַחֲזִיק בְּתֻמָּתֶךָ בָּרֵךְ אֱלֹהִים וָמֻת

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלֶיהָ כְּדַבֵּר אַחַת הַנְּבָלוֹת תְּדַבֵּרִי גַּם אֶת־הַטּוֹב נְקַבֵּל מֵאֵת הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֶת־הָרָע לֹא נְקַבֵּל בְּכָל־זֹאת לֹא־חָטָא אִיּוֹב בִּשְׂפָתָיו פ
