Ezekiel 6

1 The judgment of Israel for their idolatry. 8 A remnant shall be blessed. 11 The faithful are exhorted to lament their calamities.

 6:1 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 6:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, set 7760 your face 6440 toward 413 the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478, and prophesy 5012 against 413 them

 6:3 and say 559, ‘Mountains 2022 of Israel 3478, listen 8085 to the word 1697 of the Lord 136 GOD 3068! Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 to the mountains 2022, the hills 1389, the ravines 650 and the valleys 1516: “Behold 2009, I Myself 589 am going to bring 935 a sword 2719 on you, and I will destroy 6 your high 1116 places 1116.

 6:4 “So your altars 4196 will become 8074 desolate 8074 and your incense 2553 altars 2553 will be smashed 7665; and I will make your slain 2491a fall 5307 in front 6440 of your idols 1544.

 6:5 “I will also lay 5414 the dead 6297 bodies 6297 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 in front 6440 of their idols 1544; and I will scatter 2219 your bones 6106 around 5439 your altars 4196.

 6:6 “In all 3605 your dwellings 4186, cities 5892b will become 2717b waste 2717b and the high 1116 places 1116 will be desolate 8074, that your altars 4196 may become 2717b waste 2717b and desolate 816, your idols 1544 may be broken 7665 and brought 7673a to an end 7673a, your incense 2553 altars 2553 may be cut 1438 down 1438, and your works 4639 may be blotted 4229a out.

 6:7 “The slain 2491a will fall 5307 among 8432 you, and you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.

 6:8 ¶ “However, I will leave 3498 a remnant 3498, for you will have 1961 those who 6412a escaped 6412a the sword 2719 among the nations 1471 when you are scattered 2219 among the countries 776.

 6:9 “Then those of you who 6412a escape 6412a will remember 2142 Me among the nations 1471 to which 834 they will be carried 7617 captive 7617, how 834 I have been hurt 7665 by their adulterous 2181 hearts 3820 which 834 turned 5493 away 5493 from Me, and by their eyes 5869 which played 2181 the harlot 2181 after 310 their idols 1544; and they will loathe 6962a themselves in their own sight 6440 for the evils 7463a which 834 they have committed 6213a, for all 3605 their abominations 8441.

 6:10 “Then they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068; I have not said 1696 in vain 2600 that I would inflict 6213a this 384 disaster 7463a on them.”’

 6:11 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Clap 5221 your hand 3709, stamp 7554 your foot 7272 and say 559, “Alas 253, because 413 of all 3605 the evil 7451a abominations 8441 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478, which 834 will fall 5307 by sword 2719, famine 7458 and plague 1698!

 6:12 “He who 7350 is far 7350 off 7350 will die 4191 by the plague 1698, and he who 7138 is near 7138 will fall 5307 by the sword 2719, and he who remains 7604 and is besieged 5341 will die 4191 by the famine 7458. Thus will I spend 3615 My wrath 2534 on them.

 6:13 “Then you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068, when their slain 2491a are among 8432 their idols 1544 around 5439 their altars 4196, on every 3605 high 7311 hill 1389, on all 3605 the tops 7218 of the mountains 2022, under 8478 every 3605 green 7488 tree 6086 and under 8478 every 3605 leafy 5687 oak 424—the places 4725 where 834 8033 they offered 5414 soothing 5207 aroma 7381b to all 3605 their idols 1544.

 6:14 “So throughout all 3605 their habitations 4186 I will stretch 5186 out My hand 3027 against 5921 them and make 5414 the land 776 more 4480 desolate 8077 and waste 4923 than 4480 the wilderness 4057b toward Diblah 1689; thus they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.”’”
