Ezekiel 7

1 The final desolation of Israel. 16 The mournful repentance of them that escape. 20 The enemies defile the sanctuary because of the Israelites' abominations. 23 Under the type of a chain is shewed their miserable captivity.

 7:1 Moreover, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 7:2 “And you, son 1121 of man 120, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 to the land 127 of Israel 3478, ‘An end 7093! The end 7093 is coming 935 on the four 702 corners 3671 of the land 776.

 7:3 ‘Now 6258 the end 7093 is upon you, and I will send 7971 My anger 639 against you; I will judge 8199 you according to your ways 1870 and bring 5414 all 3605 your abominations 8441 upon you.

 7:4 ‘For My eye 5869 will have 2347 no 3808 pity 2347 on you, nor 3808 will I spare 2550 [you], but I will bring 5414 your ways 1870 upon you, and your abominations 8441 will be among 8432 you; then you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068!’

 7:5 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘A disaster 7463a, unique 259 disaster 7463a, behold 2009 it is coming 935!

 7:6 ‘An end 7093 is coming 935; the end 7093 has come 935! It has awakened 7019a against 413 you; behold 2009, it has come 935!

 7:7 ‘Your doom 6843 has come 935 to you, O inhabitant 3427 of the land 776. The time 6256 has come 935, the day 3117 is near 7138—tumult 4103 rather 3808 than 3808 joyful 1906 shouting 1906 on the mountains 2022.

 7:8 ‘Now 6258 I will shortly 7138 pour 8210 out My wrath 2534 on you and spend 3615 My anger 639 against you; judge 8199 you according to your ways 1870 and bring 5414 on you all 3605 your abominations 8441.

 7:9 ‘My eye 5869 will show 2347 no 3808 pity 2347 nor 3808 will I spare 2550. I will repay 5414 you according to your ways 1870, while your abominations 8441 are in your midst 8432; then you will know 3045 that I, the LORD 3068, do the smiting 5221.

 7:10 ¶ ‘Behold 2009, the day 3117! Behold 2009, it is coming 935! [Your] doom 6843 has gone 3318 forth 3318; the rod 4294 has budded 6692a, arrogance 2087 has blossomed 6524a.

 7:11 ‘Violence 2555 has grown 6965 into a rod 4294 of wickedness 7562. None 3808 of them [shall remain], none 3808 of their people 1995, none 3808 of their wealth 1991, nor 3808 anything eminent 5089 among them.

 7:12 ‘The time 6256 has come 935, the day 3117 has arrived 5060. Let not the buyer 7069 rejoice 8055 nor 408 the seller 4376 mourn 56; for wrath 2740 is against 413 all 3605 their multitude 1995.

 7:13 ‘Indeed 3588, the seller 4376 will not regain 7725 what 4465 he sold 4465 as long 5750 as they [both] live 2421b 2425b; for the vision 2377 regarding 413 all 3605 their multitude 1995 will not be averted 7725, nor 3808 will any 376 of them maintain 2388 his life 2421b by his iniquity 5771.

 7:14 ¶ ‘They have blown 8628 the trumpet 8619 and made 3559 everything 3605 ready 3559, but no 369 one 369 is going 1980 to the battle 4421, for My wrath 2740 is against 413 all 3605 their multitude 1995.

 7:15 ‘The sword 2719 is outside 2351 and the plague 1698 and the famine 7458 are within 1004. He who 834 is in the field 7704 will die 4191 by the sword 2719; famine 7458 and the plague 1698 will also consume 398 those in the city 5892b.

 7:16 ‘Even when their survivors 6412a escape 6403, they will be on the mountains 2022 like doves 3123 of the valleys 1516, all 3605 of them mourning 1993, each 376 over his own iniquity 5771.

 7:17 ‘All 3605 hands 3027 will hang 7503 limp 7503 and all 3605 knees 1290 will become 1980 [like] water 4325.

 7:18 ‘They will gird 2296 themselves with sackcloth 8242 and shuddering 6427 will overwhelm 3680 them; and shame 955 [will be] on all 3605 faces 6440 and baldness 7144 on all 3605 their heads 7218.

 7:19 ‘They will fling 7993 their silver 3701 into the streets 2351 and their gold 2091 will become 1961 an abhorrent 5079 thing 5079; their silver 3701 and their gold 2091 will not be able 3201 to deliver 5337 them in the day 3117 of the wrath 5678 of the LORD 3068. They cannot 3808 satisfy 7646 their appetite 5315 nor 3808 can they fill 4390 their stomachs 4578, for their iniquity 5771 has become 1961 an occasion 4383 of stumbling 4383.

 7:20 ‘They transformed 7760 the beauty 6643a of His ornaments 5716 into pride 1347b, and they made 6213a the images 6754 of their abominations 8441 [and] their detestable 8251 things 8251 with it; therefore 5921 3651 I will make 5414 it an abhorrent 5079 thing 5079 to them.

 7:21 ‘I will give 5414 it into the hands 3027 of the foreigners 2114a as plunder 957 and to the wicked 7563 of the earth 776 as spoil 7998, and they will profane 2490c it.

 7:22 ‘I will also turn 5437 My face 6440 from them, and they will profane 2490c My secret 6845 place 6845; then robbers 6530 will enter 935 and profane 2490c it.

 7:23 ¶ ‘Make 6213a the chain 7569, for the land 776 is full 4390 of bloody 1818 crimes 4941 and the city 5892b is full 4390 of violence 2555.

 7:24 ‘Therefore, I will bring 935 the worst 7451a of the nations 1471, and they will possess 3423 their houses 1004. I will also make the pride 1347b of the strong 5794 ones 5794 cease 7673a, and their holy 6942 places 4720 will be profaned 2490c.

 7:25 ‘When anguish 7089 comes 935, they will seek 1245 peace 7965, but there 369 will be none 369.

 7:26 ‘Disaster 1943 will come 935 upon disaster 1943 and rumor 8052 will be [added] to rumor 8052; then they will seek 1245 a vision 2377 from a prophet 5030, but the law 8451 will be lost 6 from the priest 3548 and counsel 6098 from the elders 2205.

 7:27 ‘The king 4428 will mourn 56, the prince 5387a will be clothed 3847 with horror 8077, and the hands 3027 of the people 5971a of the land 776 will tremble 926. According 4480 to their conduct 1870 I will deal 6213a with them, and by their judgments 4941 I will judge 8199 them. And they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.’”
