Ezekiel 9

1 A vision, whereby is shewed the preservation of some, 5 and the destruction of the rest. 8 God cannot be intreated for them.

 9:1 Then He cried 7121 out in my hearing 241 with a loud 1419 voice 6963 saying 559, “Draw 7126 near 7126, O executioners 6486 of the city 5892b, each 376 with his destroying 4892 weapon 3627 in his hand 3027.”

 9:2 Behold 2009, six 8337a men 376 came 935 from the direction 1870 of the upper 5945a gate 8179 which 834 faces 6437 north 6828, each 376 with his shattering 4660 weapon 3627 in his hand 3027; and among 8432 them was a certain 259 man 376 clothed 3847 in linen 906 with a writing 5613b case 7083 at his loins 4975. And they went 935 in and stood 5975 beside 681a the bronze 5178 altar 4196.

 9:3 ¶ Then the glory 3519b of the God 430 of Israel 3478 went 5927 up from the cherub 3742 on which 834 it had been 1961, to the threshold 4670 of the temple 1004. And He called 7121 to the man 376 clothed 3847 in linen 906 at whose 834 loins 4975 was the writing 5613b case 7083.

 9:4 The LORD 3068 said 559 to him, “Go 5674a through the midst 8432 of the city 5892b, [even] through the midst 8432 of Jerusalem 3389, and put 8427 a mark 8420a on the foreheads 4696 of the men 376 who sigh 584 and groan 602 over 5921 all 3605 the abominations 8441 which are being committed 6213a in its midst 8432.”

 9:5 But to the others 428 He said 559 in my hearing 241, “Go 5674a through the city 5892b after 310 him and strike 5221; do not let your eye 5869 have 2347 pity 2347 and do not spare 2550.

 9:6 “Utterly 4889 slay 2026 old 2205 men 2205, young 970 men 970, maidens 1330, little 2945 children 2945, and women 802, but do not touch 5066 any 3605 man 376 on whom 834 is the mark 8420a; and you shall start 2490c from My sanctuary 4720.” So they started 2490c with the elders 2205 who 834 [were] before 6440 the temple 1004.

 9:7 And He said 559 to them, “Defile 2930 the temple 1004 and fill 4390 the courts 2691a with the slain 2491a. Go 3318 out!” Thus they went 3318 out and struck 5221 down 5221 [the people] in the city 5892b.

 9:8 As they were striking 5221 [the people] and I [alone] was left 7604, I fell 5307 on my face 6440 and cried 2199 out saying 559, “Alas 162, Lord 136 GOD 3068! Are You destroying 7843 the whole 3605 remnant 7611 of Israel 3478 by pouring 8210 out Your wrath 2534 on Jerusalem 3389?”

 9:9 ¶ Then He said 559 to me, “The iniquity 5771 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478 and Judah 3063 is very 3966, very 3966 great 1419, and the land 776 is filled 4390 with blood 1818 and the city 5892b is full 4390 of perversion 4297; for they say 559, ‘The LORD 3068 has forsaken 5800a the land 776, and the LORD 3068 does not see 7200!’

 9:10 “But as for Me, My eye 5869 will have 2347 no 3808 pity 2347 nor 3808 will I spare 2550, but I will bring 5414 their conduct 1870 upon their heads 7218.”

 9:11 ¶ Then behold 2009, the man 376 clothed 3847 in linen 906 at whose 834 loins 4975 was the writing 7083 case 7083 reported 7725 1697, saying 559, “I have done 6213a just 3512c as You have commanded 6680 me.”
