 12:1 ¶ [[For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.]] Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.

 12:1 ¶ [[To the chief Musicianºº uponº Sheminith,º A Psalmº of David.]]º Help,ºº LORD;º forº the godly manº ceaseth;ºº forº the faithfulºº failºº from among the childrenºº of men.º

 12:2 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

 12:2 They speakºº vanityº every oneº withº his neighbour:º [with] flatteringº lipsº [and] with a doubleº heartº do they speak.ºº

 12:3 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;

 12:3 The LORDº shall cut offºº allº flatteringº lips,º [and] the tongueº that speakethºº proudº things:º

 12:4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

 12:4 Whoº have said,ºº With our tongueº will we prevail;ºº our lipsº [are] our own: whoº [is] lordº over us?

 12:5 Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

 12:5 For the oppressionºº of the poor,º for the sighingºº of the needy,º nowº will I arise,ºº saithºº the LORD;º I will setºº [him] in safetyº [from him that] puffethºº at him.

 12:6 The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.

 12:6 The wordsº of the LORDº [are] pureº words:º [as] silverº triedºº in a furnaceº of earth,º purifiedºº sevenº times.º

 12:7 Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah, Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

 12:7 Thouº shalt keepºº them, O LORD,º thou shalt preserveºº them fromº thisº generationº for ever.º

 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

 12:8 The wickedº walkºº on every side,º when the vilestº menºº are exalted.ºº
