 7:1 ¶
[[Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto Jehovah, concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite.]] O Jehovah my God, in thee do I take refuge: Save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me, |
|
 7:1 ¶
[[Shiggaionº
of David,º
whichº
he sangºº
unto the LORD,º
concerningº
the wordsº
of Cushº
the Benjamite.]]ºº
O LORDº
my God,º
in thee do I put my trust:ºº
saveºº
me from allºº
them that persecuteºº
me, and deliverºº
me: |
 7:2
Lest they tear my soul like a lion, Rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. |
|
 7:2
Lestº
he tearºº
my soulº
like a lion,º
rending [it] in pieces,ºº
while [there is] noneº
to deliver.ºº |
 7:3
O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands; |
|
 7:3
O LORDº
my God,º
ifº
I have doneºº
this;º
ifº
there beº
iniquityº
in my hands;º |
 7:4
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;) |
|
 7:4
Ifº
I have rewardedºº
evilº
unto him that was at peaceºº
with me; (yea, I have deliveredºº
him that without causeº
is mine enemy:)ºº |
 7:5
Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust. Selah. |
|
 7:5
Let the enemyºº
persecuteºº
my soul,º
and takeºº
[it]; yea, let him tread downºº
my lifeº
upon the earth,º
and layºº
mine honourº
in the dust.º
Selah.º |
 7:6
Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment. |
|
 7:6
Arise,ºº
O LORD,º
in thine anger,º
lift upºº
thyselfº
because of the rageº
of mine enemies:ºº
and awakeºº
forº
me [to] the judgmentº
[that] thou hast commanded.ºº |
 7:7
And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about; And over them return thou on high. |
|
 7:7
So shall the congregationº
of the peopleº
compass thee about:ºº
for their sakesº
therefore returnºº
thou on high.º |
 7:8
Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me. |
|
 7:8
The LORDº
shall judgeºº
the people:º
judgeºº
me, O LORD,º
according to my righteousness,º
and according to mine integrityº
[that is] inº
me. |
 7:9
O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous: For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts. |
|
 7:9
Ohº
let the wickednessº
of the wickedº
come to an end;ºº
but establishºº
the just:º
for the righteousº
Godº
triethºº
the heartsºº
and reins.º |
 7:10
My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart. |
|
 7:10
My defenceº
[is] ofº
God,º
which savethºº
the uprightº
in heart.º |
 7:11
God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God that hath indignation every day. |
|
 7:11
Godº
judgethºº
the righteous,º
and Godº
is angryºº
[with the wicked] everyº
day.º |
 7:12
If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready. |
|
 7:12
Ifº
he turnºº
not,º
he will whetºº
his sword;º
he hath bentºº
his bow,º
and made it ready.ºº |
 7:13
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery [shafts]. |
|
 7:13
He hath also preparedºº
for him the instrumentsº
of death;º
he ordainethºº
his arrowsº
against the persecutors.ºº |
 7:14
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. |
|
 7:14
Behold,º
he travailethºº
with iniquity,º
and hath conceivedºº
mischief,º
and brought forthºº
falsehood.º |
 7:15
He hath made a pit, and digged it, And is fallen into the ditch which he made. |
|
 7:15
He madeºº
a pit,º
and diggedºº
it, and is fallenºº
into the ditchº
[which] he made.ºº |
 7:16
His mischief shall return upon his own head, And his violence shall come down upon his own pate. |
|
 7:16
His mischiefº
shall returnºº
upon his own head,º
and his violentº
dealingº
shall come downºº
uponº
his own pate.º |
 7:17
I will give thanks unto Jehovah according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High. |
|
 7:17
I will praiseºº
the LORDº
according to his righteousness:º
and will sing praiseºº
to the nameº
of the LORDº
most high.º |
