 8:1 ¶ [[For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of David.]] O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

 8:1 ¶ [[To the chief Musicianºº uponº Gittith,º A Psalmº of David.]]º O LORDº our Lord,º howº excellentº [is] thy nameº in allº the earth!º whoº hast setºº thy gloryº aboveº the heavens.º

 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

 8:2 Out of the mouthºº of babesº and sucklingsºº hast thou ordainedºº strengthº because ofº thine enemies,ºº that thou mightest stillºº the enemyºº and the avenger.ºº

 8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

 8:3 Whenº I considerºº thy heavens,º the workº of thy fingers,º the moonº and the stars,º whichº thou hast ordained;ºº

 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

 8:4 Whatº is man,º thatº thou art mindfulºº of him? and the sonº of man,º thatº thou visitestºº him?

 8:5 For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.

 8:5 For thou hast made him a littleº lowerººº than the angels,ºº and hast crownedºº him with gloryº and honour.º

 8:6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:

 8:6 Thou madest him to have dominionºº over the worksº of thy hands;º thou hast putºº allº [things] underº his feet:º

 8:7 All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,

 8:7 Allº sheepº and oxen,º yea,º and the beastsº of the field;º

 8:8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

 8:8 The fowlº of the air,º and the fishº of the sea,º [and whatsoever] passeth throughºº the pathsº of the seas.º

 8:9 O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
