 11:1 ¶ And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and one said, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

 11:1 ¶ Andº there was givenºº meº a reedº likeº untoº a rod:º andº theº angelº stood,ºº saying,ºº Rise,ºº andº measureºº theº templeº of God,º andº theº altar,º andº them that worshipºº therein.ºº

 11:2 And the court which is without the temple leave without, and measure it not; for it hath been given unto the nations: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

 11:2 Butº theº courtº whichº is withoutºº theº templeº leaveºº out,º andº measureºº itº not;º forº it is givenºº unto theº Gentiles:º andº theº holyº cityº shall they tread under footºº fortyº [and] twoºº months.º

 11:3 And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

 11:3 Andº I will giveºº [power] unto myº twoº witnesses,º andº they shall prophesyºº a thousandº two hundredº [and] threescoreººº days,º clothedº inºº sackcloth.º

 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing before the Lord of the earth.

 11:4 Theseº areºº theº twoº oliveº trees,º andº theº twoº candlesticksº standingºº beforeº theº Godº of theº earth.º

 11:5 And if any man desireth to hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies; and if any man shall desire to hurt them, in this manner must he be killed.

 11:5 Andº if any manºº willºº hurtºº them,º fireº proceedethºº out ofº theirºº mouth,º andº devourethºº theirºº enemies:º andº if any manº willºº hurtºº them,º heº mustºº in this mannerº be killed.ºº

 11:6 These have the power to shut the heaven, that it rain not during the days of their prophecy: and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire.

 11:6 Theseº haveºº powerº to shutºº heaven,º thatººº it rainººº notºººº inº the daysº of theirºº prophecy:º andº haveºº powerº overº watersº to turnºº themº toº blood,º andº to smiteºº theº earthº with allº plagues,º as oftenº asºº they will.ººº

 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that cometh up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

 11:7 Andº whenº they shall have finishedºº theirºº testimony,º theº beastº that ascendethºº out ofº theº bottomless pitº shall makeºº warº againstº them,º andº shall overcomeºº them,º andº killºº them.º

 11:8 And their dead bodies [lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

 11:8 Andº theirºº dead bodiesº [shall lie] inº theº streetº of theº greatº city,º whichº spirituallyº is calledºº Sodomº andº Egypt,º whereº alsoº ourºº Lordº was crucified.ºº

 11:9 And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations do [men] look upon their dead bodies three days and a half, and suffer not their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.

 11:9 Andº theyºº ofº theº peopleº andº kindredsº andº tonguesº andº nationsº shall seeºº theirºº dead bodiesº threeº daysº andº an half,º andº shallºº notº sufferºº theirºº dead bodiesº to be putºº inº graves.º

 11:10 And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

 11:10 Andº they that dwellºº uponº theº earthº shall rejoiceºº overº them,º andº make merry,ºº andº shall sendºº giftsº one to another;º becauseº theseº twoº prophetsº tormentedºº them that dweltºº onº theº earth.º

 11:11 And after the three days and a half the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them that beheld them.

 11:11 Andº afterº threeº daysº andº an halfº the Spiritº of lifeº fromº Godº enteredºº intoº them,º andº they stoodºº uponº theirºº feet;º andº greatº fearº fellºº uponº them which sawºº them.º

 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in the cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

 11:12 Andº they heardºº a greatº voiceº fromº heavenº sayingºº unto them,º Come upºº hither.º Andº they ascended upºº toº heavenº inº a cloud;º andº theirºº enemiesº beheldºº them.º

 11:13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and there were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

 11:13 Andº the sameºº hourº wasº thereºº a greatº earthquake,º andº theº tenth partº of theº cityº fell,ºº andº inº theº earthquakeº were slainººº ofº menº sevenº thousand:º andº theº remnantº wereºº affrighted,º andº gaveºº gloryº to theº Godº of heaven.º

 11:14 The second Woe is past: behold, the third Woe cometh quickly.

 11:14 Theº secondº woeº is past;ºº [and],º behold,ºº theº thirdº woeº comethºº quickly.º

 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become [the kingdom] of out Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.

 11:15 Andº theº seventhº angelº sounded;ºº andº there wereºº greatº voicesº inº heaven,º saying,ºº Theº kingdomsº of this worldº are becomeºº [the kingdoms] of ourº Lord,º andº of hisºº Christ;º andº he shall reignºº forº everº and ever.ºº

 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, who sit before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshipped God,

 11:16 Andº theº fourº andº twentyººº elders,º whichº satºº beforeº Godº onº theirºº seats,º fellºº uponº theirºº faces,ºº andº worshippedºº God,º

 11:17 saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who wast; because thou hast taken thy great power, and didst reign.

 11:17 Saying,ºº We giveºº theeº thanks,ººº O Lordº Godº Almighty,º whichº art,ººººº andº wast,ººººº andº art to come;ºººº becauseº thou hast takenº to theeºº thyº greatº power,º andº hast reigned.ºº

 11:18 And the nations were wroth, and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and [the time] to give their reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth.

 11:18 Andº theº nationsº were angry,ºº andº thyº wrathº is come,ºº andº theº timeº of theº dead,º that they should be judged,ºº andº that thou shouldest giveºº rewardº unto thyº servantsº theº prophets,º andº to theº saints,º andº them that fearºº thyº name,º smallº andº great;º andº shouldest destroyºº them which destroyºº theº earth.º

 11:19 And there was opened the temple of God that is in heaven; and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant; and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

 11:19 Andº theº templeº of Godº was openedºº inº heaven,º andº there was seenºº inº hisºº templeº theº arkº of hisºº testament:º andº there wereºº lightnings,º andº voices,º andº thunderings,º andº an earthquake,º andº greatº hail.º
