 20:1 ¶ And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

 20:1 ¶ Andº I sawºº an angelº come downºº fromº heaven,º havingºº theº keyº of theº bottomless pitº andº a greatº chainº inº hisºº hand.º

 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

 20:2 Andº he laid hold onºº theº dragon,º that oldº serpent,º whichº isºº the Devil,º andº Satan,º andº boundºº himº a thousandº years,º

 20:3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut [it], and sealed [it] over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.

 20:3 Andº castºº himº intoº theº bottomless pit,º andº shutºº himº up,ººº andº set a sealºº uponº him,º thatººº he should deceiveºº theº nationsº noºº more,º tillº theº thousandº yearsº should be fulfilled:ºº andº afterº thatº heº mustºº be loosedºº a littleº season.º

 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

 20:4 Andº I sawºº thrones,º andº they satºº uponº them,º andº judgmentº was givenºº unto them:º andº [I saw] theº soulsº of them that were beheadedºº forº theº witnessº of Jesus,º andº forº theº wordº of God,º andº whichº hadºº notº worshippedºº theº beast,º neitherº hisº image,ºº neitherºº had receivedºº [his] markº uponº theirºº foreheads,º orº inº theirºº hands;º andº they livedºº andº reignedºº withº Christº a thousandº years.º

 20:5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection.

 20:5 Butº theº restº of theº deadº livedºº notº againººº untilº theº thousandº yearsº were finished.ºº Thisº [is] theº firstº resurrection.º

 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

 20:6 Blessedº andº holyº [is] he that hathºº partº inº theº firstº resurrection:º onº suchº theº secondº deathº hathºº noº power,º butº they shall beºº priestsº of Godº andº of Christ,º andº shall reignºº withº himº a thousandº years.º

 20:7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

 20:7 Andº whenº theº thousandº yearsº are expired,ºº Satanº shall be loosedºº out ofº hisº prison,º

 20:8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

 20:8 Andº shall go outºº to deceiveºº theº nationsº whichº are inº theº fourº quartersº of theº earth,º Gogº andº Magog,º to gatherºº themº togetherººº toº battle:º theº numberº of whomº [is] asº theº sandº of theº sea.º

 20:9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them.

 20:9 Andº they went upºº onº theº breadthº of theº earth,º andº compassedºº the campº of the saintsº about,ººººº andº theº belovedºº city:º andº fireº came downºº fromº Godº out ofº heaven,º andº devouredºº them.º

 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

 20:10 Andº theº devilº that deceivedºº themº was castºº intoº theº lakeº of fireº andº brimstone,º whereº theº beastº andº theº false prophetº [are], andº shall be tormentedºº dayº andº nightº forº everº and ever.ºº

 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

 20:11 Andº I sawºº a greatº whiteº throne,º andº him that satºº onº it,º fromº whoseº faceº theº earthº andº theº heavenº fled away;ºº andº there was foundºº noº placeº for them.º

 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.

 20:12 Andº I sawºº theº dead,º smallº andº great,º standºº beforeº God;º andº the booksº were opened:ºº andº anotherº bookº was opened,ºº whichº isººº [the book] of life:º andº theº deadº were judgedºº out ofº those things which were writtenºº inº theº books,º accordingº toº theirºº works.º

 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

 20:13 Andº theº seaº gave upºº theº deadº whichº were inº it;º andº deathº andº hellº delivered upºº theº deadº whichº were inº them:º andº they were judgedºº every manº accordingº toº theirºº works.º

 20:14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, [even] the lake of fire.

 20:14 Andº deathº andº hellº were castºº intoº theº lakeº of fire.º Thisº isºº theº secondº death.º

 20:15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

 20:15 Andº whosoeverº wasºº notº foundºº writtenºº inº theº bookº of lifeº was castºº intoº theº lakeº of fire.º
