 5:1 ¶ And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals.

 5:1 ¶ Andº I sawºº inº theº right handº of him that satºº onº theº throneº a bookº writtenºº withinº andº on the backside,º sealedºº with sevenº seals.º

 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

 5:2 Andº I sawºº a strongº angelº proclaimingºº with a loudº voice,º Whoº isºº worthyº to openºº theº book,º andº to looseºº theº sealsº thereof?ºº

 5:3 And no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon.

 5:3 Andº no manº inº heaven,º norº inº earth,º neitherº underº theº earth,º was ableºº to openºº theº book,º neitherº to lookºº thereon.º

 5:4 And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look thereon:

 5:4 Andº Iº weptºº much,º becauseº no manº was foundºº worthyº to openºº andº to readºº theº book,º neitherº to lookºº thereon.º

 5:5 and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

 5:5 Andº oneº ofº theº eldersº saithºº unto me,º Weepºº not:º behold,ºº theº Lionºº ofººº theº tribeº of Juda,º theº Rootº of David,º hath prevailedºº to openºº theº book,º andº to looseºº theº sevenº sealsº thereof.ºº

 5:6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

 5:6 Andº I beheld,ºº and,º lo,ºº inº the midstº of theº throneº andº of theº fourº beasts,º andº inº the midstº of theº elders,º stoodºº a Lambº asº it had been slain,ºº havingºº sevenº hornsº andº sevenº eyes,º whichº areºº theº sevenº Spiritsº of Godº sent forthºº intoº allº theº earth.º

 5:7 And he came, and he taketh [it] out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.

 5:7 Andº he cameºº andº tookºº theº bookº out ofº theº right handº of him that satºº uponº theº throne.º

 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

 5:8 Andº whenº he had takenºº theº book,º theº fourº beastsº andº fourº [and] twentyºº eldersº fell downºº beforeº theº Lamb,º havingºº every one of themº harps,º andº goldenº vialsº fullºº of odours,º whichº areºº theº prayersº of saints.º

 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

 5:9 Andº they sungºº a newº song,º saying,ºº Thou artºº worthyº to takeºº theº book,º andº to openºº theº sealsº thereof:ºº forº thou wast slain,ºº andº hast redeemedºº usº to Godº byº thyº bloodº out ofº everyº kindred,º andº tongue,º andº people,º andº nation;º

 5:10 and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth.

 5:10 Andº hast madeºº usº unto ourº Godº kingsº andº priests:º andº we shall reignºº onº theº earth.º

 5:11 And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

 5:11 Andº I beheld,ºº andº I heardºº the voiceº of manyº angelsº round aboutº theº throneº andº theº beastsº andº theº elders:º andº theº numberº of themº wasºº ten thousandº times ten thousand,º andº thousandsº of thousands;º

 5:12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might and honor, and glory, and blessing.

 5:12 Sayingºº with a loudº voice,º Worthyº isºº theº Lambº that was slainºº to receiveºº power,º andº riches,º andº wisdom,º andº strength,º andº honour,º andº glory,º andº blessing.º

 5:13 And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.

 5:13 Andº everyº creatureº whichº isºº inº heaven,º andº onº theº earth,º andº underº theº earth,º andº such asº areºº inº theº sea,º andº allº thatº are inº them,º heardº Iºº saying,ºº Blessing,º andº honour,º andº glory,º andº power,º [be] unto him that sittethºº uponº theº throne,º andº unto theº Lambº forº everº and ever.ºº

 5:14 And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.

 5:14 Andº theº fourº beastsº said,ºº Amen.º Andº theº fourº [and] twentyºº eldersº fell downºº andº worshippedºº him that livethºº forº everº and ever.ºº
