Leviticus 1

1 The burnt offerings 3 of the herd, 10 of the flocks, 14 of the fowls.

 1:1 Then the LORD 3068 called 7121 to Moses 4872 and spoke 1696 to him from the tent 168 of meeting 4150, saying 559,

 1:2 “Speak 1696 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 and say 559 to them, ‘When 3588 any 120 man 120 of you brings 7126 an offering 7133a to the LORD 3068, you shall bring 7126 your offering 7133a of animals 929 from the herd 1241 or the flock 6629.

 1:3 ‘If 518 his offering 7133a is a burnt 5930a offering 5930a from the herd 1241, he shall offer 7126 it, a male 2145 without 8549 defect 8549; he shall offer 7126 it at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150, that he may be accepted 7522 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 1:4 ‘He shall lay 5564 his hand 3027 on the head 7218 of the burnt 5930a offering 5930a, that it may be accepted 7521 for him to make 3722a atonement 3722a on his behalf 5921.

 1:5 ‘He shall slay 7819 the young 1121 bull 1241 before 6440 the LORD 3068; and Aaron’s 175 sons 1121 the priests 3548 shall offer 7126 up the blood 1818 and sprinkle 2236b the blood 1818 around 5439 on the altar 4196 that is at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150.

 1:6 ‘He shall then skin 6584 the burnt 5930a offering 5930a and cut 5408 it into its pieces 5409.

 1:7 ‘The sons 1121 of Aaron 175 the priest 3548 shall put 5414 fire 784 on the altar 4196 and arrange 6186a wood 6086 on the fire 784.

 1:8 ‘Then Aaron’s 175 sons 1121 the priests 3548 shall arrange 6186a the pieces 5409, the head 7218 and the suet 6309 over 5921 the wood 6086 which 834 is on the fire 784 that is on the altar 4196.

 1:9 ‘Its entrails 7130, however, and its legs 3767 he shall wash 7364 with water 4325. And the priest 3548 shall offer 6999 up in smoke 6999 all 3605 of it on the altar 4196 for a burnt 5930a offering 5930a, an offering 801 by fire 801 of a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b to the LORD 3068.

 1:10 ¶ ‘But if 518 his offering 7133a is from the flock 6629, of the sheep 3775 or 176 of the goats 5795, for a burnt 5930a offering 5930a, he shall offer 7126 it a male 2145 without 8549 defect 8549.

 1:11 ‘He shall slay 7819 it on the side 3409 of the altar 4196 northward 6828 before 6440 the LORD 3068, and Aaron’s 175 sons 1121 the priests 3548 shall sprinkle 2236b its blood 1818 around 5439 on the altar 4196.

 1:12 ‘He shall then cut 5408 it into its pieces 5409 with its head 7218 and its suet 6309, and the priest 3548 shall arrange 6186a them on the wood 6086 which 834 is on the fire 784 that is on the altar 4196.

 1:13 ‘The entrails 7130, however, and the legs 3767 he shall wash 7364 with water 4325. And the priest 3548 shall offer 7126 all 3605 of it, and offer 6999 it up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196; it is a burnt 5930a offering 5930a, an offering 801 by fire 801 of a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b to the LORD 3068.

 1:14 ¶ ‘But if 518 his offering 7133a to the LORD 3068 is a burnt 5930a offering 5930a of birds 5775, then he shall bring 7126 his offering 7133a from the turtledoves 8449 or 176 from young 1121 pigeons 3123.

 1:15 ‘The priest 3548 shall bring 7126 it to the altar 4196, and wring 4454 off 4454 its head 7218 and offer 6999 it up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196; and its blood 1818 is to be drained 4680 out on the side 7023 of the altar 4196.

 1:16 ‘He shall also take 5493 away 5493 its crop 4760 with its feathers 5133 and cast 7993 it beside 681a the altar 4196 eastward 6924b, to the place 4725 of the ashes 1880.

 1:17 ‘Then he shall tear 8156 it by its wings 3671, [but] shall not sever 914 [it]. And the priest 3548 shall offer 6999 it up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196 on the wood 6086 which 834 is on the fire 784; it is a burnt 5930a offering 5930a, an offering 801 by fire 801 of a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b to the LORD 3068.
