Leviticus 17

1 The blood of all slain beasts must be offered to the LORD at the door of the Tabernacle. 7 They must not offer to devils. 10 All eating of blood is forbidden, 15 and all that dieth alone, or is torn.

 17:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 17:2 “Speak 1696 to Aaron 175 and to his sons 1121 and to all 3605 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 and say 559 to them, ‘This 2088 is what 1697 834 the LORD 3068 has commanded 6680, saying 559,

 17:3 “Any 376 man 376 from the house 1004 of Israel 3478 who 834 slaughters 7819 an ox 7794 or 176 a lamb 3775 or 176 a goat 5795 in the camp 4264, or 176 who 834 slaughters 7819 it outside 4480 2351 the camp 4264,

 17:4 and has not brought 935 it to the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 to present 7126 [it] as an offering 7133a to the LORD 3068 before 6440 the tabernacle 4908 of the LORD 3068, bloodguiltiness 1818 is to be reckoned 2803 to that man 376. He has shed 8210 blood 1818 and that man 376 shall be cut 3772 off 3772 from among 7130 his people 5971b.

 17:5 “The reason 4616 is so 4616 that the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 may bring 935 their sacrifices 2077 which 834 they were sacrificing 2076 in the open 6440 field 7704, that they may bring 935 them in to the LORD 3068, at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 to the priest 3548, and sacrifice 2076 them as sacrifices 2077 of peace 8002 offerings 8002 to the LORD 3068.

 17:6 “The priest 3548 shall sprinkle 2236b the blood 1818 on the altar 4196 of the LORD 3068 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150, and offer 6999 up the fat 2459 in smoke 6999 as a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b to the LORD 3068.

 17:7 “They shall no 3808 longer 5750 sacrifice 2076 their sacrifices 2077 to the goat 8163b demons 8163c with which 834 they play 2181 the harlot 2181. This 2088 shall be a permanent 5769 statute 2708 to them throughout their generations 1755.”’

 17:8 ¶ “Then you shall say 559 to them, ‘Any 376 man 376 from the house 1004 of Israel 3478, or from the aliens 1616 who 834 sojourn 1481a among 8432 them, who 834 offers 5927 a burnt 5930a offering 5930a or 176 sacrifice 2077,

 17:9 and does not bring 935 it to the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 to offer 6213a it to the LORD 3068, that man 376 also shall be cut 3772 off 3772 from his people 5971b.

 17:10 ¶ ‘And any 376 man 376 from the house 1004 of Israel 3478, or from the aliens 1616 who sojourn 1481a among 8432 them, who 834 eats 398 any 3605 blood 1818, I will set 5414 My face 6440 against that person 5315 who eats 398 blood 1818 and will cut 3772 him off 3772 from among 7130 his people 5971b.

 17:11 ‘For the life 5315 of the flesh 1320 is in the blood 1818, and I have given 5414 it to you on the altar 4196 to make 3722a atonement 3722a for your souls 5315; for it is the blood 1818 by reason of the life 5315 that makes 3722a atonement 3722a.’

 17:12 “Therefore 5921 3651 I said 559 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, ‘No 3605 3808 person 5315 among 4480 you may eat 398 blood 1818, nor 3808 may any alien 1616 who sojourns 1481a among 8432 you eat 398 blood 1818.’

 17:13 “So when any 376 man 376 from the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, or from the aliens 1616 who sojourn 1481a among 8432 them, in hunting 6718a catches 6679 a beast 2421b or 176 a bird 5775 which 834 may be eaten 398, he shall pour 8210 out its blood 1818 and cover 3680 it with earth 6083.

 17:14 ¶ “For [as for the] life 5315 of all 3605 flesh 1320, its blood 1818 is [identified] with its life 5315. Therefore I said 559 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, ‘You are not to eat 398 the blood 1818 of any 3605 flesh 1320, for the life 5315 of all 3605 flesh 1320 is its blood 1818; whoever 3605 eats 398 it shall be cut 3772 off 3772.’

 17:15 “When any 3605 person 5315 eats 398 [an animal] which 5038 dies 5038 or is torn 2966 [by beasts], whether he is a native 249 or an alien 1616, he shall wash 3526 his clothes 899b and bathe 7364 in water 4325, and remain 2930 unclean 2930 until 5704 evening 6153; then he will become 2891 clean 2891.

 17:16 “But if 518 he does not wash 3526 [them] or bathe 7364 his body 1320, then he shall bear 5375 his guilt 5771.”
