Leviticus 5

1 He that sinneth in concealing his knowledge, 2 in touching an unclean thing, 4 or in making an oath. 6 His trespass offering, of the flock, 7 of fowls, 11 or of flour. 14 The trespass offering in sacrilege, 17 and in sins of ignorance.

 5:1 ‘Now if 3588 a person 5315 sins 2398 after he hears 8085 a public 6963 adjuration 423 [to testify] when he is a witness 5707, whether 176 he has seen 7200 or 176 [otherwise] known 3045, if 518 he does not tell 5046 [it], then he will bear 5375 his guilt 5771.

 5:2 ‘Or 176 if 834 a person 5315 touches 5060 any 3605 unclean 2931 thing 1697, whether 176 a carcass 5038 of an unclean 2931 beast 2421b or 176 the carcass 5038 of unclean 2931 cattle 929 or 176 a carcass 5038 of unclean 2931 swarming 8318 things 8318, though it is hidden 5956 from him and he is unclean 2931, then he will be guilty 816.

 5:3 ‘Or 176 if 3588 he touches 5060 human 120 uncleanness 2932a, of whatever 3605 [sort] his uncleanness 2932a [may] be with which 834 he becomes 2930 unclean 2930, and it is hidden 5956 from him, and then he comes to know 3045 [it], he will be guilty 816.

 5:4 ‘Or 176 if 3588 a person 5315 swears 7650 thoughtlessly 981 with his lips 8193 to do 7489a evil 7489a or 176 to do 3190 good 3190, in whatever 3605 834 matter a man 120 may speak 981 thoughtlessly 981 with an oath 7621, and it is hidden 5956 from him, and then he comes to know 3045 [it], he will be guilty 816 in one 259 of these 428.

 5:5 ‘So it shall be when 3588 he becomes 816 guilty 816 in one 259 of these 428, that he shall confess 3034 that in which 834 he has sinned 2398.

 5:6 ‘He shall also bring 935 his guilt 817 offering 817 to the LORD 3068 for his sin 2403b which 834 he has committed 2398, a female 5347 from the flock 6629, a lamb 3776 or 176 a goat 8166 5795 as a sin 2403b offering 2403b. So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a on his behalf 5921 for his sin 2403b.

 5:7 ¶ ‘But if 518 he cannot 3808 afford 5060 3027 a lamb 7716, then he shall bring 935 to the LORD 3068 his guilt 817 offering 817 for that in which 834 he has sinned 2398, two 8147 turtledoves 8449 or 176 two 8147 young 1121 pigeons 3123, one 259 for a sin 2403b offering 2403b and the other 259 for a burnt 5930a offering 5930a.

 5:8 ‘He shall bring 935 them to the priest 3548, who shall offer 7126 first 7223 that which 834 is for the sin 2403b offering 2403b and shall nip 4454 its head 7218 at the front 4136 of its neck 6203, but he shall not sever 914 [it].

 5:9 ‘He shall also sprinkle 5137a some 4480 of the blood 1818 of the sin 2403b offering 2403b on the side 7023 of the altar 4196, while the rest 7604 of the blood 1818 shall be drained 4680 out at the base 3247 of the altar 4196: it is a sin 2403b offering 2403b.

 5:10 ‘The second 8145 he shall then prepare 6213a as a burnt 5930a offering 5930a according to the ordinance 4941. So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a on his behalf 5921 for his sin 2403b which 834 he has committed 2398, and it will be forgiven 5545 him.

 5:11 ¶ ‘But if 518 his means 3027 are insufficient 5381 for two 8147 turtledoves 8449 or 176 two 8147 young 1121 pigeons 3123, then for his offering 7133a for that which 834 he has sinned 2398, he shall bring 935 the tenth 6224 of an ephah 374 of fine 5560 flour 5560 for a sin 2403b offering 2403b; he shall not put 7760 oil 8081 on it or place 5414 incense 3828 on it, for it is a sin 2403b offering 2403b.

 5:12 ‘He shall bring 935 it to the priest 3548, and the priest 3548 shall take 7061 his handful 4393 7062 of it as its memorial 234 portion 234 and offer 6999 [it] up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196, with the offerings 801 of the LORD 3068 by fire 801: it is a sin 2403b offering 2403b.

 5:13 ‘So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a for him concerning 5921 his sin 2403b which 834 he has committed 2398 from one 259 of these 428, and it will be forgiven 5545 him; then [the rest] shall become 1961 the priest’s 3548, like the grain offering 4503.’”

 5:14 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 5:15 “If 3588 a person 5315 acts 4603 unfaithfully 4604 and sins 2398 unintentionally 7684 against 4480 the LORD’S 3068 holy 6944 things 6944, then he shall bring 935 his guilt 817 offering 817 to the LORD 3068: a ram 352a without 8549 defect 8549 from the flock 6629, according to your valuation 6187 in silver 3701 by shekels 8255, in [terms of] the shekel 8255 of the sanctuary 6944, for a guilt 817 offering 817.

 5:16 “He shall make 7999a restitution 7999a for that which 834 he has sinned 2398 against 4480 the holy 6944 thing 6944, and shall add 3254 to it a fifth 2549 part 2549 of it and give 5414 it to the priest 3548. The priest 3548 shall then make 3722a atonement 3722a for him with the ram 352a of the guilt 817 offering 817, and it will be forgiven 5545 him.

 5:17 ¶ “Now if 518 a person 5315 sins 2398 and does 6213a any 259 of the things which 834 the LORD 3068 has commanded 4687 not to be done 6213a, though he was unaware 3045 3808, still he is guilty 816 and shall bear 5375 his punishment 5771.

 5:18 “He is then to bring 935 to the priest 3548 a ram 352a without 8549 defect 8549 from the flock 6629, according to your valuation 6187, for a guilt 817 offering 817. So the priest 3548 shall make 3722a atonement 3722a for him concerning 5921 his error 7684 in which 834 he sinned 7683 unintentionally 7684 and did not know 3045 [it], and it will be forgiven 5545 him.

 5:19 “It is a guilt 817 offering 817; he was certainly 816 guilty 816 before the LORD 3068.”
