Leviticus 8

1 Moses consecrateth Aaron and his sons. 14 Their sin offering. 18 Their burnt offering. 22 The ram of consecration. 31 The place and time of their consecration.

 8:1 Then the LORD 3068 spoke 1696 to Moses 4872, saying 559,

 8:2 “Take 3947 Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 with him, and the garments 899b and the anointing 4888b oil 8081 and the bull 6499 of the sin 2403b offering 2403b, and the two 8147 rams 352a and the basket 5536 of unleavened 4682 bread 4682,

 8:3 and assemble 6950 all 3605 the congregation 5712 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150.”

 8:4 So Moses 4872 did 6213a just 3512c as the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 him. When the congregation 5712 was assembled 6950 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150,

 8:5 Moses 4872 said 559 to the congregation 5712, “This 2088 is the thing 1697 which 834 the LORD 3068 has commanded 6680 to do 6213a.”

 8:6 ¶ Then Moses 4872 had Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 come 7126 near 7126 and washed 7364 them with water 4325.

 8:7 He put 5414 the tunic 3801 on him and girded 2296 him with the sash 73, and clothed 3847 him with the robe 4598 and put 5414 the ephod 646 on him; and he girded 2296 him with the artistic 2805 band 2805 of the ephod 646, with which he tied 640 [it] to him.

 8:8 He then placed 7760 the breastpiece 2833 on him, and in the breastpiece 2833 he put 5414 the Urim 224 and the Thummim 8550.

 8:9 He also placed 7760 the turban 4701 on his head 7218, and on the turban 4701, at its front 6440, he placed 7760 the golden 2091 plate 6731b, the holy 6944 crown 5145, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 Moses 4872.

 8:10 ¶ Moses 4872 then took 3947 the anointing 4888b oil 8081 and anointed 4886 the tabernacle 4908 and all 3605 that was in it, and consecrated 6942 them.

 8:11 He sprinkled 5137a some 4480 of it on the altar 4196 seven 7651 times 6471 and anointed 4886 the altar 4196 and all 3605 its utensils 3627, and the basin 3595 and its stand 3653b, to consecrate 6942 them.

 8:12 Then he poured 3332 some 4480 of the anointing 4888b oil 8081 on Aaron’s 175 head 7218 and anointed 4886 him, to consecrate 6942 him.

 8:13 Next Moses 4872 had Aaron’s 175 sons 1121 come 7126 near 7126 and clothed 3847 them with tunics 3801, and girded 2296 them with sashes 73 and bound 2280 caps 4021 on them, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 Moses 4872.

 8:14 ¶ Then he brought 5066 the bull 6499 of the sin 2403b offering 2403b, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 laid 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the bull 6499 of the sin 2403b offering 2403b.

 8:15 Next Moses 4872 slaughtered 7819 [it] and took 3947 the blood 1818 and with his finger 676 put 5414 [some of it] around 5439 on the horns 7161 of the altar 4196, and purified 2398 the altar 4196. Then he poured 3332 out [the rest of] the blood 1818 at the base 3247 of the altar 4196 and consecrated 6942 it, to make 3722a atonement 3722a for it.

 8:16 He also took 3947 all 3605 the fat 2459 that was on the entrails 7130 and the lobe 3508 of the liver 3516, and the two 8147 kidneys 3629 and their fat 2459; and Moses 4872 offered 6999 it up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196.

 8:17 But the bull 6499 and its hide 5785 and its flesh 1320 and its refuse 6569 he burned 8313 in the fire 784 outside 4480 2351 the camp 4264, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 Moses 4872.

 8:18 ¶ Then he presented 7126 the ram 352a of the burnt 5930a offering 5930a, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 laid 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the ram 352a.

 8:19 Moses 4872 slaughtered 7819 [it] and sprinkled 2236b the blood 1818 around 5439 on the altar 4196.

 8:20 When he had cut 5408 the ram 352a into its pieces 5409, Moses 4872 offered 6999 up the head 7218 and the pieces 5409 and the suet 6309 in smoke 6999.

 8:21 After he had washed 7364 the entrails 7130 and the legs 3767 with water 4325, Moses 4872 offered 6999 up the whole 3605 ram 352a in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196. It was a burnt 5930a offering 5930a for a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b; it was an offering 801 by fire 801 to the LORD 3068, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 Moses 4872.

 8:22 ¶ Then he presented 7126 the second 8145 ram 352a, the ram 352a of ordination 4394, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 laid 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the ram 352a.

 8:23 Moses 4872 slaughtered 7819 [it] and took 3947 some 4480 of its blood 1818 and put 5414 it on the lobe 8571 of Aaron’s 175 right 3233 ear 241, and on the thumb 931 of his right 3233 hand 3027 and on the big 931 toe 931 of his right 3233 foot 7272.

 8:24 He also had Aaron’s 175 sons 1121 come 7126 near 7126; and Moses 4872 put 5414 some 4480 of the blood 1818 on the lobe 8571 of their right 3233 ear 241, and on the thumb 931 of their right 3233 hand 3027 and on the big 931 toe 931 of their right 3233 foot 7272. Moses 4872 then sprinkled 2236b [the rest of] the blood 1818 around 5439 on the altar 4196.

 8:25 He took 3947 the fat 2459, and the fat 451 tail 451, and all 3605 the fat 2459 that was on the entrails 7130, and the lobe 3508 of the liver 3516 and the two 8147 kidneys 3629 and their fat 2459 and the right 3225 thigh 7785.

 8:26 From the basket 5536 of unleavened 4682 bread 4682 that was before 6440 the LORD 3068, he took 3947 one 259 unleavened 4682 cake 2471 and one 259 cake 2471 of bread 3899 [mixed with] oil 8081 and one 259 wafer 7550, and placed 7760 [them] on the portions 2459 of fat 2459 and on the right 3225 thigh 7785.

 8:27 He then put 5414 all 3605 [these] on the hands 3709 of Aaron 175 and on the hands 3709 of his sons 1121 and presented 5130 them as a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 8:28 Then Moses 4872 took 3947 them from their hands 3709 and offered 6999 them up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196 with the burnt 5930a offering 5930a. They were an ordination 4394 offering 4394 for a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b; it was an offering 801 by fire 801 to the LORD 3068.

 8:29 Moses 4872 also took 3947 the breast 2373 and presented 5130 it for a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068; it was Moses’ 4872 portion 4490 of the ram 352a of ordination 4394, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 Moses 4872.

 8:30 ¶ So Moses 4872 took 3947 some 4480 of the anointing 4888b oil 8081 and some 4480 of the blood 1818 which 834 was on the altar 4196 and sprinkled 5137a it on Aaron 175, on his garments 899b, on his sons 1121, and on the garments 899b of his sons 1121 with him; and he consecrated 6942 Aaron 175, his garments 899b, and his sons 1121, and the garments 899b of his sons 1121 with him.

 8:31 ¶ Then Moses 4872 said 559 to Aaron 175 and to his sons 1121, “Boil 1310 the flesh 1320 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150, and eat 398 it there 8033 together with the bread 3899 which 834 is in the basket 5536 of the ordination 4394 offering 4394, just 3512c as I commanded 6680, saying 559, ‘Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 shall eat 398 it.’

 8:32 “The remainder 3498 of the flesh 1320 and of the bread 3899 you shall burn 8313 in the fire 784.

 8:33 “You shall not go 3318 outside 3318 the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 for seven 7651 days 3117, until 5704 the day 3117 that the period 3117 of your ordination 4394 is fulfilled 4390; for he will ordain 4390 3027 you through seven 7651 days 3117.

 8:34 “The LORD 3068 has commanded 6680 to do 6213a as has been done 6213a this 2088 day 3117, to make 3722a atonement 3722a on your behalf 5921.

 8:35 “At the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150, moreover, you shall remain 3427 day 3119 and night 3915 for seven 7651 days 3117 and keep 8104 the charge 4931 of the LORD 3068, so that you will not die 4191, for so 3651 I have been commanded 6680.”

 8:36 Thus Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 did 6213a all 3605 the things 1697 which 834 the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 through 3027 Moses 4872.
