 3:1 ¶ And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.

 3:1 ¶ Andº I,º brethren,º couldºº notº speakºº unto youº asº unto spiritual,º butº asº unto carnal,º [even] asº unto babesº inº Christ.º

 3:2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able [to bear it]: nay, not even now are ye able;

 3:2 I have fedºº youº with milk,º andº notº with meat:º forº hithertoºº ye wereºº notº ableººº [to bear it],º neitherºº yetº nowº are ye able.ºº

 3:3 for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?

 3:3 Forº ye areºº yetº carnal:º forº whereasº [there is] amongº youº envying,º andº strife,º andº divisions,º areº yeºº notº carnal,º andº walkºº asº men?º

 3:4 For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not men?

 3:4 Forº whileº oneº saith,ºº Iºº amºº of Paul;º andº another,º Iº [am] of Apollos;º areº yeº notº carnal?º

 3:5 What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.

 3:5 Whoº thenº isºº Paul,º andº whoº [is] Apollos,º butºº ministersº byº whomº ye believed,ºº evenº asº theº Lordº gaveºº to every man?º

 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

 3:6 Iº have planted,ºº Apollosº watered;ºº butº Godº gave the increase.ºº

 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

 3:7 Soº thenº neitherº isºº he that plantethºº any thing,º neitherº he that watereth;ºº butº Godº that giveth the increase.ºº

 3:8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.

 3:8 Nowº he that plantethºº andº he that waterethºº areºº one:º andº every manº shall receiveºº his ownº rewardº accordingº to his ownº labour.º

 3:9 For we are God's fellow-workers: ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

 3:9 Forº we areºº labourers togetherº withº God:º ye areºº God'sº husbandry,º [ye are] God'sº building.º

 3:10 According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.

 3:10 Accordingº to theº graceº of Godº whichº is givenºº unto me,º asº a wiseº masterbuilder,º I have laidºº the foundation,º andº anotherº buildethºº thereon.º Butº letºº every manº take heedºº howº he buildethºº thereupon.º

 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

 3:11 Forº otherº foundationº canºº no manº layºº thanº that is laid,ºº whichº isºº Jesusº Christ.º

 3:12 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;

 3:12 Nowº if any manº buildºº uponº thisº foundationº gold,º silver,º preciousº stones,º wood,º hay,º stubble;º

 3:13 each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is.

 3:13 Every man'sº workº shall be madeºº manifest:º forº theº dayº shall declareºº it, becauseº it shall be revealedºº byº fire;º andº theº fireº shall tryºº every man'sº workº of what sortº it is.ºº

 3:14 If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.

 3:14 If any man'sº workº abideººº whichº he hath builtºº thereupon,º he shall receiveºº a reward.º

 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.

 3:15 If any man'sº workº shall be burned,ºº he shall suffer loss:ºº butº heº himselfº shall be saved;ºº yetº soº asº byº fire.º

 3:16 Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

 3:16 Knowº yeºº notº thatº ye areºº the templeº of God,º andº [that] theº Spiritº of Godº dwellethºº inº you?º

 3:17 If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

 3:17 If any manº defileºº theº templeº of God,º himº shallºº Godº destroy;ºº forº theº templeº of Godº isºº holy,º whichº [temple] yeº are.ºº

 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

 3:18 Letºº no manº deceiveºº himself.º If any manº amongº youº seemethºº to beºº wiseº inº thisº world,º let him becomeºº a fool,º thatº he may beºº wise.º

 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He that taketh the wise in their craftiness:

 3:19 Forº theº wisdomº of thisº worldº isºº foolishnessº withº God.º Forº it is written,ºº He takethºº theº wiseº inº their ownºº craftiness.º

 3:20 and again, The Lord knoweth the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

 3:20 Andº again,º The Lordº knowethºº theº thoughtsº of theº wise,º thatº they areºº vain.º

 3:21 Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;

 3:21 Thereforeº letºº no manº gloryºº inº men.º Forº all thingsº areºº yours;º

 3:22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

 3:22 Whetherº Paul,º orº Apollos,º orº Cephas,º orº the world,º orº life,º orº death,º orº things present,ºº orº things to come;ºº allº areºº yours;º

 3:23 and ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

 3:23 Andº yeº are Christ's;º andº Christº [is] God's.º
