 5:1 ¶ It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one [of you] hath his father's wife.

 5:1 ¶ It is reportedºº commonlyº [that there is] fornicationº amongº you,º andº suchº fornicationº asº isºº not so muchº asº namedºº amongº theº Gentiles,º thatº oneº should haveºº his father'sº wife.º

 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you.

 5:2 Andº yeº areºº puffed up,ºº andº haveºº notº ratherº mourned,ºº thatº he that hath doneºº thisº deedº might be taken awayºº fromº amongº you.º

 5:3 For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing,

 5:3 Forº Iº verily,º asº absentºº in body,º butº presentºº in spirit,º have judgedºº already,º asº thoughº I were present,ºº [concerning] him that hathºº soº doneººº this deed,º

 5:4 in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

 5:4 Inº theº nameº of ourº Lordº Jesusº Christ,º when yeº are gathered together,ºº andº myº spirit,º withº theº powerº of ourº Lordº Jesusº Christ,º

 5:5 to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

 5:5 To deliverºº such an oneº unto Satanº forº the destructionº of theº flesh,º thatº theº spiritº may be savedºº inº theº dayº of theº Lordº Jesus.º

 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

 5:6 Yourº gloryingº [is] notº good.º Knowº yeºº notº thatº a littleº leavenº leavenethºº theº wholeº lump?º

 5:7 Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, [even] Christ:

 5:7 Purge outºº thereforeº theº oldº leaven,º thatº ye may beºº a newº lump,º asº ye areºº unleavened.º Forº evenº Christº ourº passoverº is sacrificedºº forº us:º

 5:8 wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

 5:8 Thereforeº let us keep the feast,ºº notº withº oldº leaven,º neitherº withº the leavenº of maliceº andº wickedness;º butº withº the unleavenedº [bread] of sincerityº andº truth.º

 5:9 I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;

 5:9 I wroteºº unto youº inº an epistleº notº to companyºº withº fornicators:º

 5:10 not at all [meaning] with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:

 5:10 Yetº notº altogetherº with theº fornicatorsº of thisº world,º orº with theº covetous,º orº extortioners,º orº with idolaters;º forº thenº must ye needsºº goºº out ofº theº world.º

 5:11 but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.

 5:11 Butº nowº I have writtenºº unto youº notº to keep company,ºº ifº any manº that is calledºº a brotherº beºº a fornicator,º orº covetous,º orº an idolater,º orº a railer,º orº a drunkard,º orº an extortioner;º with such an oneº no notº to eat.ºº

 5:12 For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?

 5:12 Forº whatº have Iº to doºº to judgeºº them alsoº that are without?ºº doºº notº yeº judgeºº them that are within?º

 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.

 5:13 Butº them that are withoutº Godº judgeth.ººº Thereforeº put awayºº fromº among yourselvesºº thatº wicked person.º
