And there was a man of mount Ephraim, and his name was Micah{gr.Michaias}. |

whose nameº
[was] Micah.º |

And he said to his mother, The eleven hundred pieces of silver which thou tookest of thyself, and [about which] thou cursedst me, and spokest in my ears, behold, the silver [is] with me; I took it: and his mother said, Blessed [be] my son of the Lord. |

And he saidºº
unto his mother,º
The eleven hundredºº
[shekels] of silverº
thatº
were takenºº
from thee, about which thouº
cursedst,ºº
and spakestºº
of alsoº
in mine ears,º
behold,º
the silverº
[is] withº
me; Iº
tookºº
it. And his motherº
said,ºº
Blessedºº
[be thou] of Yahweh,º
my son.º |

And he restored the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother; and his mother said, I had wholly consecrated the money to the Lord out of my hand for my son, to make a graven and a molten [image], and now I will restore it to thee. |
|

And when he had restoredººº
the eleven hundredºº
[shekels] of silverº
to his mother,º
his motherº
said,ºº
I had whollyºº
dedicatedººº
the silverº
unto Yahwehº
from my handºº
for my son,º
to makeºº
a graven imageº
and a molten image:º
nowº
therefore I will restoreºº
it unto thee. |

But he returned the silver to his mother, and his mother took two hundred pieces of silver, and gave them to a silversmith, and he made it a graven and a molten image; and it was in the house of Micah{gr.Michaias}. |

Yet he restoredººº
the moneyº
unto his mother;º
and his motherº
tookºº
two hundredº
[shekels] of silver,º
and gaveºº
them to the founder,ºº
who madeºº
thereof a graven imageº
and a molten image:º
and they wereº
in the houseº
of Micah.º |

And the house of Micah{gr.Michaias} [was] to him the house of God, and he made an ephod and theraphin, and he consecrated one of his sons, and he became to him a priest. |

And the manº
Micahº
had an houseº
of elohim,º
and madeºº
an ephod,º
and teraphim,º
and consecratedºººº
oneº
of his sons,ºº
who becameº
his priest.º |

And in those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes. |

In thoseº
daysº
[there was] noº
kingº
in Israel,º
[but] every manº
didºº
[that which was] rightº
in his own eyes.º |

17:7 ¶
And there was a young man in Bethlehem{gr.Bethleem} of the tribe of Judah{gr.Juda}, and he [was] a Levite, and he was sojourning there. |

And there wasº
a young manº
out of Bethlehemjudahººº
of the familyºº
of Judah,º
whoº
[was] a Levite,º
and heº
sojournedºº
there.º |

And the man departed from Bethlehem{gr.Bethleem} the city of Judah{gr.Juda} to sojourn in whatever place he might find; and he came as far as mount Ephraim, and to the house of Micah{gr.Michaias} to accomplish his journey. |

out of the cityºº
from Bethlehemjudahººº
to sojournºº
whereº
he could findºº
[a place]: and he cameºº
to mountº
Ephraimº
toº
the houseº
of Micah,º
as he journeyed.ººº |

And Micah{gr.Michaias} said to him, Whence comest thou? and he said to him, I am a Levite of Bethlehem{gr.Bethleem} Judah{gr.Juda}, and I go to sojourn in any place I may find. |

And Micahº
saidºº
unto him, Whenceºº
comestºº
thou? And he saidºº
untoº
him, Iº
[am] a Leviteº
of Bethlehemjudah,ººº
and Iº
goºº
to sojournºº
whereº
I may findºº
[a place]. |

17:10
And Micah{gr.Michaias} said to him, Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest; and I will give thee ten pieces of silver by the year, and a change of raiment, and thy living. |

And Micahº
saidºº
unto him, Dwellºº
withº
me, and beº
unto me a fatherº
and a priest,º
and Iº
will giveºº
thee tenº
[shekels] of silverº
by the year,º
and a suitº
of apparel,º
and thy victuals.º
So the Leviteº
went in.ººº |

And the Levite went and began to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons. |

And the Leviteº
was contentºº
to dwellºº
withº
the man;º
and the young manº
wasº
unto him as oneº
of his sons.ºº |

17:12
And Micah{gr.Michaias} consecrated the Levite, and he became to him a priest, and he was in the house of Micah{gr.Michaias}. |

And Micahº
consecratedºººº
the Levite;º
and the young manº
becameº
his priest,º
and wasº
in the houseº
of Micah.º |

17:13
And Micah{gr.Michaias} said, Now I know that the Lord will do me good, because a Levite has become my priest. |

Then saidºº
Micah,º
Nowº
knowºº
I thatº
Yahwehº
will do me good,ºº
seeingº
I haveº
a Leviteº
to [my] priest.º |
