[is] the houseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
and thisº
[is] the altarº
of the burnt offeringº
for
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

22:1 ¶
Then Dawid said, This [is] the house of Yahweh Elohim, and this [is] the altar of the burnt offering for Yisrael. |
|
22:2
And

commandedºº
to gather togetherººº
the strangersº
thatº
[were] in the landº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;º
and he setºº
masonsºº
to hewºº
wroughtº
stonesº
to buildºº
the houseº
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |

22:2
And Dawid commanded to gather together the strangers that [were] in the land of Yisrael; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of Elohim. |
|
22:3
And

preparedºº
ironº
in abundanceº
for the nailsº
for the doorsº
of the gates,º
and for the joinings;º
and brassº
in abundanceº
withoutº
weight;º |

And Dawid prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight; |

22:4
Also cedarº
treesº
in abundance:ºº
forº
the
Xîðônîm
צִידוֹנִיםº
and they of
Xôr
צוֹרº
broughtºº
muchº
cedarº
woodº
to
Däwið
דָּוִד.º |

22:4
Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Tzidonim and they of Tzor brought much cedar wood to Dawid. |

22:5
And
Däwið
דָּוִדº
said,ºº
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹהº
my sonº
[is] youngº
and tender,º
and the houseº
[that is] to be buildedºº
for
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
[must be] exceedingº
magnifical,ºº
of fameº
and of gloryº
throughout allº
countries:º
I will [therefore] nowº
make preparationºº
for it. So
Däwið
דָּוִדº
preparedºº
abundantlyº
beforeº
his death.º |

22:5
And Dawid said, Shelomoh my son [is] young and tender, and the house [that is] to be builded for Yahweh [must be] exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will [therefore] now make preparation for it. So Dawid prepared abundantly before his death. |
|
22:6 ¶
Then he calledºº

and chargedºº
him to buildºº
an houseº

Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

22:6 ¶
Then he called for Shelomoh his son, and charged him to build an house for Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael. |
|

שְׁלֹמֹה,º
My son,º
as for me,º
it wasº
inº
my mindº
to buildºº
an houseº
unto the nameº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים:º |

And Dawid said to Shelomoh, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of Yahweh my Elohim: |

But the wordº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
cameº
toº
me, saying,ºº
Thou hast shedºº
bloodº
abundantly,º
and hast madeºº
greatº
wars:º
thou shalt notº
buildºº
an houseº
unto my name,º
becauseº
thou hast shedºº
muchº
bloodº
upon the earthº
in my sight.º |

But the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. |
|
22:9
Behold,º
a sonº
shall be bornºº
to thee, whoº
shall beº
a manº
of rest;º
and I will give him restºº
from allºº
his enemiesºº
round about:ºº
forº
his nameº
shall beº
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹה,º
and I will giveºº
peaceº
and quietnessº
untoº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
in his days.º |

22:9
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Shelomoh, and I will give peace and quietness unto Yisrael in his days. |
|
22:10
Heº
shall buildºº
an houseº
for my name;º
and heº
shall beº
my son,º
and Iº
[will be] his father;º
and I will establishºº
the throneº
of his kingdomº
overº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
forº
ever.ºº |

22:10
He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I [will be] his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Yisrael for ever. |
|
22:11
Now,º
my son,º
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
beº
withº
thee; and prosperºº
thou, and buildºº
the houseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
asº
he hath saidºº
ofº
thee. |

22:11
Now, my son, Yahweh be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of Yahweh thy Elohim, as he hath said of thee. |
|
22:12
Onlyº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
giveºº
thee wisdomº
and understanding,º
and give thee chargeºº
concerningº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
that thou mayest keepººº
the lawº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |

22:12
Only Yahweh give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Yisrael, that thou mayest keep the law of Yahweh thy Elohim. |
|
22:13
Thenº
shalt thou prosper,ºº
ifº
thou takest heedºº
to fulfilººº
the statutesº
and judgmentsº
whichº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
chargedººº

with concerningº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:º
be strong,ºº
and of good courage;ºº
dreadºº
not,º
norº
be dismayed.ºº |

22:13
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which Yahweh charged Mosheh with concerning Yisrael: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. |
|
22:14
Now, behold,º
in my troubleº
I have preparedºº
for the houseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
an hundredº
thousandº
talentsº
of gold,º
and a thousandº
thousandº
talentsº
of silver;º
and of brassº
and ironº
withoutº
weight;º
forº
it isº
in abundance:º
timberº
also and stoneº
have I prepared;ºº
and thou mayest addºº
thereto.º |

22:14
Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of Yahweh an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. |

22:15
Moreover [there are] workmenººº
withº
thee in abundance,º
hewersºº
and workersº
of stoneº
and timber,º
and all mannerº
of cunning menº
for every mannerº
of work.º |

22:15
Moreover [there are] workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work. |

22:16
Of the gold,º
the silver,º
and the brass,º
and the iron,º
[there is] noº
number.º
Ariseºº
[therefore], and be doing,ºº
and

withº
thee. |

22:16
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, [there is] no number. Arise [therefore], and be doing, and Yahweh be with thee. |

22:17 ¶

the princesº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
to helpºº
Šælömò
שְׁלֹמֹהº
his son,º
[saying], |

22:17 ¶
Dawid also commanded all the princes of Yisrael to help Shelomoh his son, [saying], |
|
22:18
[Is] notº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
withº
you? and hath he [not] given you restºº
on every side?ºº
forº
he hath givenººº
the inhabitantsºº
of the landº
into mine hand;º
and the landº
is subduedºº
beforeº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and beforeº
his people.º |

[Is] not Yahweh your Elohim with you? and hath he [not] given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people. |

22:19
Nowº
setºº
your heartº
and your soulº
to seekºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים;º
ariseºº
therefore, and buildºº
yeº
the sanctuaryº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
to bringººº
the arkº
of the covenantº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and the holyº
vesselsº
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
into the houseº
that is to be builtºº
to the nameº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

22:19
Now set your heart and your soul to seek Yahweh your Elohim; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of Yahweh Elohim, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of Elohim, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yahweh. |
