Then he brought me backººº
the wayº
of the gateº
of the outwardº
sanctuaryº
which lookethºº
toward the east;º
and itº
[was] shut.ºº |

Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it [was] shut. |

44:2
Then saidºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
untoº
me; Thisº
gateº
shall beº
shut,ºº
it shall notº
be opened,ºº
and noº
manº
shall enterºº
inº
by it; becauseº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
hath enteredºº
inº
by it, therefore it shall beº
shut.ºº |

44:2
Then said Yahweh unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because Yahweh, the Elohim of Yisrael, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. |

44:3
[It is]º
for the prince;º
the prince,º
heº
shall sitºº
in it to eatºº
breadº
beforeº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
he shall enterºº
by the wayºº
of the porchº
of [that] gate,º
and shall go outºº
by the wayºº
of the same. |
|
44:3
[It is] for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before Yahweh; he shall enter by the way of the porch of [that] gate, and shall go out by the way of the same. |
|
44:4 ¶
Then broughtºº
he me the wayº
of the northº
gateº
beforeºº
the house:º
and I looked,ºº
and, behold,º
the gloryº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
filledººº
the houseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
and I fellºº
uponº
my face.º |

44:4 ¶
Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of Yahweh filled the house of Yahweh: and I fell upon my face. |
|
44:5
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
saidºº
untoº
me, Sonº
of man,º
markºº
well,ºº
and beholdºº
with thine eyes,º
and hearºº
with thine earsºº
allº
thatº
Iº
sayºº
unto thee concerning allº
the ordinancesº
of the houseº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and allº
the lawsº
thereof; and markºº
wellºº
the entering inº
of the house,º
with everyº
going forthº
of the sanctuary.º |

44:5
And Yahweh said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of Yahweh, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary. |
|
44:6
And thou shalt sayºº
toº
the rebellious,º
[even] toº
the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
Thusº
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
O ye houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
let it sufficeº
you ofº
allº
your abominations,º |

44:6
And thou shalt say to the rebellious, [even] to the house of Yisrael, Thus saith Adonay Yahweh; O ye house of Yisrael, let it suffice you of all your abominations, |

44:7
In that ye have broughtºº
[into my sanctuary] strangers,ºº
uncircumcisedº
in heart,º
and uncircumcisedº
in flesh,º
to beº
in my sanctuary,º
to polluteºº
it, [even]º
my house,º
when ye offerººº
my bread,º
the fatº
and the blood,º
and they have brokenººº
my covenantº
becauseº
ofº
allº
your abominations.º |

44:7
In that ye have brought [into my sanctuary] strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, [even] my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. |
|
44:8
And ye have notº
keptºº
the chargeº
of mine holy things:º
but ye have setºº
keepersºº
of my chargeº
in my sanctuaryº
for yourselves. |
|
44:8
And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves. |
|
44:9 ¶
Thusº
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
Noºº
stranger,ºº
uncircumcisedº
in heart,º
nor uncircumcisedº
in flesh,º
shall enterºº
intoº
my sanctuary,º
of anyº
strangerºº
thatº
[is] amongº
the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

44:9 ¶
Thus saith Adonay Yahweh; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that [is] among the children of Yisrael. |
|
44:10
Andºº
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּםº
thatº
are gone away farºº
fromºº
me, when
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
went astray,ºº
whichº
went astrayº
awayºº
fromºº
me afterº
their idols;º
they shall even bearºº
their iniquity.º |

44:10
And the Lewiyyim that are gone away far from me, when Yisrael went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity. |
|
44:11
Yet they shall beº
ministersºº
in my sanctuary,º
[having] chargeº
atº
the gatesº
of the house,º
and ministeringººº
to the house:º
theyº
shall slayººº
the burnt offeringº
and the sacrificeº
for the people,º
and theyº
shall standºº
beforeº
them to ministerºº
unto them. |

44:11
Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, [having] charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. |
|
44:12
Becauseºº
they ministeredºº
untoºº
them beforeº
their idols,º
and causedº
the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
to fallº
into iniquity;º
thereforeºº
have I lifted upºº
mine handº
againstº
them, saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and they shall bearºº
their iniquity.º |

44:12
Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Yisrael to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith Adonay Yahweh, and they shall bear their iniquity. |
|
44:13
And they shall notº
come nearºº
untoº
me, to do the office of a priestºº
unto me, nor to come nearºº
toº
anyº
of my holy things,º
inº
the most holyº
[place]: but they shall bearºº
their shame,º
and their abominationsº
whichº
they have committed.ºº |

44:13
And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy [place]: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. |
|
44:14
But I will makeºº
them keepersºº
of the chargeº
of the house,º
for allº
the serviceº
thereof, and for allº
thatº
shall be doneºº
therein. |
|
44:14
But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein. |
|
44:15 ¶
But the priestsº
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם,º
the sonsº
of
Xäðôk
צָדוֹק,º
thatº
keptººº
the chargeº
of my sanctuaryº
when the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
went astrayºº
fromºº
me, theyº
shall come nearºº
toº
me to ministerºº
unto me, and they shall standºº
beforeº
me to offerºº
unto me the fatº
and the blood,º
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º |

44:15 ¶
But the priests the Lewiyyim, the sons of Tzadoq, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Yisrael went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith Adonay Yahweh: |

Theyº
shall enterºº
intoº
my sanctuary,º
and theyº
shall come nearºº
toº
my table,º
to ministerºº
unto me, and they shall keepººº
my charge.º |

44:16
They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge. |
|
44:17 ¶
And it shall come to pass,º
[that] when they enterºº
inº
atº
the gatesº
of the innerº
court,º
they shall be clothedºº
withº
linenº
garments;º
and noº
woolº
shall comeºº
uponº
them, whiles they ministerºº
in the gatesº
of the innerº
court,º
and within.º |

44:17 ¶
And it shall come to pass, [that] when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. |
|
44:18
They shall haveº
linenº
bonnetsº
uponº
their heads,º
and shall haveº
linenº
breechesº
uponº
their loins;º
they shall notº
girdºº
[themselves] with any thing that causeth sweat.º |

44:18
They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird [themselves] with any thing that causeth sweat. |
|
44:19
And when they go forthºº
intoº
the utterº
court,º
[even] intoº
the utterº
courtº
toº
the people,º
they shall put offººº
their garmentsº
whereinº
theyº
ministered,ºº
and layººº
them in the holyº
chambers,º
and they shall putºº
onº
otherº
garments;º
and they shall notº
sanctifyººº
the peopleº
with their garments.º |

And when they go forth into the utter court, [even] into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. |
|
44:20
Neitherº
shall they shaveºº
their heads,º
norº
suffer their locksº
to grow long;ºº
they shall onlyºº
pollººº
their heads.º |

44:20
Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads. |
|
44:21
Neitherº
shall anyº
priestº
drinkºº
wine,º
when they enterºº
intoº
the innerº
court.º |
|
44:21
Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. |
|
44:22
Neitherº
shall they takeºº
for their wivesº
a widow,º
nor her that is put away:ºº
butºº
they shall takeºº
maidensº
of the seedºº
of the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
or a widowº
thatº
hadº
a priestºº
before. |

44:22
Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Yisrael, or a widow that had a priest before. |
|
44:23
And they shall teachºº
my peopleº
[the difference] betweenº
the holyº
and profane,º
and cause them to discernºº
betweenº
the uncleanº
and the clean.º |

44:23
And they shall teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. |
|
44:24
And inº
controversyº
theyº
shall standºº
in judgment;ºº
[and] they shall judgeºº
it according to my judgments:º
and they shall keepºº
my lawsº
and my statutesº
in allº
mine assemblies;º
and they shall hallowºº
my sabbaths.º |

44:24
And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; [and] they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths. |
|
44:25
And they shall comeºº
atº
noº
deadºº
personº
to defileºº
themselves: butºº
for father,º
or for mother,º
or for son,º
or for daughter,º
for brother,º
or for sisterº
thatº
hath hadº
noº
husband,º
they may defileºº
themselves.º |

44:25
And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves. |
|
44:26
And afterº
he is cleansed,º
they shall reckonºº
unto him sevenº
days.º |
|
44:26
And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days. |
|
44:27
And in the dayº
that he goethºº
intoº
the sanctuary,º
untoº
the innerº
court,º
to ministerºº
in the sanctuary,º
he shall offerºº
his sin offering,º
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith Adonay Yahweh. |
|
44:28
And it shall beº
unto them for an inheritance:º
Iº
[am] their inheritance:º
and ye shall giveºº
them noº
possessionº
in
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:º
Iº
[am] their possession.º |
|
44:28
And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I [am] their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Yisrael: I [am] their possession. |
|
44:29
Theyº
shall eatºº
the meat offering,º
and the sin offering,º
and the trespass offering;º
and everyº
dedicated thingº
in
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall beº
theirs. |
|
44:29
They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Yisrael shall be theirs. |
|
44:30
And the firstº
of allº
the firstfruitsº
of allº
[things], and everyº
oblationº
of all,º
of everyºº
[sort] of your oblations,º
shall beº
the priest's:º
ye shall also giveºº
unto the priestº
the firstº
of your dough,º
that he may cause the blessingº
to restºº
inº
thine house.º |

And the first of all the firstfruits of all [things], and every oblation of all, of every [sort] of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house. |

44:31
The priestsº
shall notº
eatºº
of any thingº
that is dead of itself,º
or torn,º
whetherº
it be fowlº
orº
beast.º |

The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast. |
