Afterward he brought me againºº
untoº
the doorº
of the house;º
and, behold,º
watersº
issued outºº
from underºº
the thresholdº
of the houseº
eastward:º
forº
the forefrontº
of the houseº
[stood toward] the east,º
and the watersº
came downºº
from underºº
from the rightº
sideººº
of the house,º
at the southºº
[side] of the altar.º |

47:1 ¶
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house [stood toward] the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south [side] of the altar. |

Then brought he me outºº
of the wayº
of the gateº
northward,º
and led me aboutºº
the wayº
withoutº
untoº
the utterº
gateº
by the wayº
that lookethºº
eastward;º
and, behold,º
there ran outºº
watersº
onº
the rightº
side.º |

47:2
Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side. |

47:3
And when the manº
that had the lineº
in his handº
went forthºº
eastward,º
he measuredºº
a thousandº
cubits,º
and he broughtº
me throughºº
the waters;º
the watersº
[were] to the ankles.º |

47:3
And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters [were] to the ankles. |

47:4
Again he measuredºº
a thousand,º
and broughtº
me throughºº
the waters;º
the watersº
[were] to the knees.º
Again he measuredºº
a thousand,º
and brought me through;ºº
the watersº
[were] to the loins.º |

Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters [were] to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters [were] to the loins. |

47:5
Afterward he measuredºº
a thousand;º
[and it was] a riverº
thatº
I couldºº
notº
pass over:ºº
forº
the watersº
were risen,ºº
watersº
to swim in,º
a riverº
thatº
could notº
be passed over.ºº |

47:5
Afterward he measured a thousand; [and it was] a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. |

47:6 ¶
And he saidºº
untoº
me, Sonº
of man,º
hast thou seenºº
[this]? Then he broughtººº
me, and caused me to returnºº
to the brinkº
of the river.º |

47:6 ¶
And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen [this]? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. |
|
47:7
Now when I had returned,ºº
behold,º
atº
the bankº
of the riverº
[were] veryº
manyº
treesº
on the one sideºº
and on the other.ºº |

Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river [were] very many trees on the one side and on the other. |

47:8
Then saidºº
he untoº
me, Theseº
watersº
issue outºº
towardº
the eastº
country,º
and go downºº
intoº
the desert,º
and goºº
intoº
the sea:º
[which being] brought forthºº
intoº
the sea,º
the watersº
shall be healed.ºº |

47:8
Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: [which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. |

47:9
And it shall come to pass,º
[that] everyº
thingº
that liveth,º
whichº
moveth,ºº
whithersoeverºººº
the riversº
shall come,ºº
shall live:ºº
and there shall beº
a veryº
greatº
multitude of fish,º
becauseº
theseº
watersº
shall comeºº
thither:º
for they shall be healed;ºº
and every thingº
shall liveººº
whitherºº
the riverº
cometh.ºº |

47:9
And it shall come to pass, [that] every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh. |
|
47:10
And it shall come to pass,º
[that] the fishersº
shall standºººº
uponº
it from
`Ên Geðî
עֵין־גֶּדִיºº
even untoº
`Eqlayim
עֶגלַיִם;º
they shall beº
a [place] to spread forthº
nets;º
their fishº
shall beº
according to their kinds,º
as the fishº
of the greatº
sea,º
exceedingº
many.º |

And it shall come to pass, [that] the fishers shall stand upon it from En-Gedi even unto Eglayim; they shall be a [place] to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. |
|
47:11
But the miry placesº
thereof and the marishesº
thereof shall notº
be healed;ºº
they shall be givenºº
to salt.º |

But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt. |
|
47:12
And byº
the riverº
uponº
the bankº
thereof, on this sideºº
and on that side,ºº
shall growºº
allº
treesº
for meat,º
whose leafº
shall notº
fade,ºº
neitherº
shall the fruitº
thereof be consumed:ºº
it shall bring forth new fruitºº
according to his months,º
becauseº
their watersº
theyº
issued outºº
ofº
the sanctuary:º
and the fruitº
thereof shall beº
for meat,º
and the leafº
thereof for medicine.º |

47:12
And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. |

[shall have two] portions.º |

47:13 ¶
Thus saith Adonay Yahweh; This [shall be] the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Yisrael: Yosef [shall have two] portions. |

47:14
And ye shall inheritºº
it, oneº
as well as another:º
[concerning] the whichº
I lifted upººº
mine handº
to giveºº
it unto your fathers:º
and thisº
landº
shall fallºº
unto you for inheritance.º |

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: [concerning] the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance. |

And thisº
[shall be] the borderº
of the landº
toward the northº
side,º

the greatº
sea,º
the wayº
of

as men goºº

And this [shall be] the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Chethlon, as men go to Tzedad; |

Chamath, Berothah, Sivrayim, which [is] between the border of Dammaseq and the border of Chamath; Chatzer-Hattikhon, which [is] by the coast of Chawran. |

And the borderº
fromº
the seaº
shall beº

חֲצַר־עֵינוֹן,º
the borderº
of
Dammä$ek
דַּמָּשֶׂק,º
and the northº
northward,º
and the borderº
of
Çámä±
חֲמָת.º
And [this is] the northº
side.º |

And the border from the sea shall be Chatzar-Enon, the border of Dammaseq, and the north northward, and the border of Chamath. And [this is] the north side. |

And the eastº
sideº
ye shall measureºº

דַּמָּשֶׂק,º
and fromºº
Gil`äð
גִּלעָד,º
and fromºº
the landº

from the borderºº
untoº
the eastº
sea.º
And [this is] the eastº
side.º |

And the east side ye shall measure from Chawran, and from Dammaseq, and from Gilad, and from the land of Yisrael [by] Yarden, from the border unto the east sea. And [this is] the east side. |

And the southº
sideº
southward,º
from

[even] toº
the watersº
of strifeººº
[in]
Käðëš
קָדֵשׁ,º
the riverº
toº
the greatº
sea.º
And [this is] the southº
sideº
southward.º |

And the south side southward, from Tamar [even] to the waters of strife [in] Qadesh, the river to the great sea. And [this is] the south side southward. |

The westº
sideº
also [shall be] the greatº
seaº
from the border,ºº
tillº
a man comeºº
over againstº

Thisº
[is] the westº
side.º |

The west side also [shall be] the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Chamath. This [is] the west side. |

So shall ye divideººº
thisº
landº
unto you according to the tribesº

Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Yisrael. |

47:22 ¶
And it shall come to pass,º
[that] ye shall divideºº
it by lotºº
for an inheritanceº
unto you, and to the strangersº
that sojournºº
amongº
you, whichº
shall begetºº
childrenº
amongº
you: and they shall beº
unto you as bornº
in the countryº
among the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;º
they shall haveºº
inheritanceº
withº
you amongº
the tribesº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

47:22 ¶
And it shall come to pass, [that] ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Yisrael; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Yisrael. |

47:23
And it shall come to pass,º
[that] in whatº
tribeº
the strangerº
sojourneth,ºº
thereºº
shall ye giveºº
[him] his inheritance,º
saithºº
´Áðönäy
אֲדֹנָיº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

47:23
And it shall come to pass, [that] in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give [him] his inheritance, saith Adonay Yahweh. |
