אַהֲרֹן,º

19:1 ¶
And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying, |
|
19:2
Thisº
[is] the ordinanceº
of the lawº
whichº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
hath commanded,ºº
saying,ºº
Speakºº
untoº
the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
that they bringººº
thee a redº
heiferº
without spot,º
whereinº
[is] noº
blemish,º
[and] uponº
whichº
neverº
cameºº
yoke:º |

19:2
This [is] the ordinance of the law which Yahweh hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Yisrael, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein [is] no blemish, [and] upon which never came yoke: |

19:3
And ye shall giveºº
her untoº
´El`äzär
אֶלעָזָרº
the priest,º
that he may bring her forthººº
withoutººº
the camp,º
and [one] shall slayºº
her beforeº
his face: |
|
19:3
And ye shall give her unto Elazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and [one] shall slay her before his face: |
|
19:4
And
´El`äzär
אֶלעָזָרº
the priestº
shall takeºº
of her bloodºº
with his finger,º
and sprinkleºº
of her bloodºº
directlyºº
beforeº
the tabernacleº
of the congregationº
sevenº
times:º |
|
19:4
And Elazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: |
|
19:5
And [one] shall burnººº
the heiferº
in his sight;ºº
her skin,º
and her flesh,º
and her blood,º
withº
her dung,º
shall he burn:ºº |
|
19:5
And [one] shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: |
|
19:6
And the priestº
shall takeºº
cedarº
wood,º
and hyssop,º
and scarlet,ºº
and castºº
[it] intoº
the midstº
of the burningº
of the heifer.º |
|
19:6
And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast [it] into the midst of the burning of the heifer. |
|
19:7
Then the priestº
shall washºº
his clothes,º
and he shall batheºº
his fleshº
in water,º
and afterwardº
he shall comeºº
intoº
the camp,º
and the priestº
shall be uncleanºº
untilº
the even.º |
|
19:7
Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. |
|
19:8
And he that burnethºº
her shall washºº
his clothesº
in water,º
and batheºº
his fleshº
in water,º
and shall be uncleanºº
untilº
the even.º |
|
19:8
And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. |
|
19:9
And a manº
[that is] cleanº
shall gatherºº
upºº
the ashesº
of the heifer,º
and lay [them] upººº
withoutºº
the campº
in a cleanº
place,º
and it shall beº
keptº
for the congregationº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
for a waterº
of separation:º
itº
[is] a purification for sin.º |

19:9
And a man [that is] clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay [them] up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Yisrael for a water of separation: it [is] a purification for sin. |
|
19:10
And he that gatherethººº
the ashesº
of the heiferº
shall washººº
his clothes,º
and be uncleanºº
untilº
the even:º
and it shall beº
unto the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
and unto the strangerº
that sojournethºº
amongº
them, for a statuteº
for ever.º |

19:10
And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Yisrael, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever. |
|
19:11 ¶
He that touchethºº
the deadºº
bodyº
of anyº
manº
shall be uncleanºº
sevenº
days.º |
|
19:11 ¶
He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days. |
|
19:12
Heº
shall purifyºº
himselfº
with it on the thirdº
day,º
and on the seventhº
dayº
he shall be clean:ºº
but ifº
he purifyºº
not himselfºº
the thirdº
day,º
then the seventhº
dayº
he shall notº
be clean.ºº |
|
19:12
He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean. |

19:13
Whosoeverº
touchethºº
the deadºº
bodyº
of any manº
thatº
is dead,ºº
and purifiethºº
not himself,ºº
defilethººº
the tabernacleº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
and thatº
soulº
shall be cut offºº
from
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:ºº
becauseº
the waterº
of separationº
was notº
sprinkledºº
uponº
him, he shall beº
unclean;º
his uncleannessº
[is] yetº
upon him. |

19:13
Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of Yahweh; and that soul shall be cut off from Yisrael: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness [is] yet upon him. |
|
19:14
Thisº
[is] the law,º
whenº
a manº
diethºº
in a tent:º
allº
that comeºº
intoº
the tent,º
and allº
thatº
[is] in the tent,º
shall be uncleanºº
sevenº
days.º |
|
19:14
This [is] the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that [is] in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. |
|
19:15
And everyº
openºº
vessel,º
whichº
hath noº
coveringº
boundº
uponº
it,º
[is] unclean.º |
|
19:15
And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, [is] unclean. |
|
19:16
And whosoeverºº
touchethºº
one that is slainº
with a swordº
inº
the openº
fields,º
orº
a dead body,ºº
orº
a boneº
of a man,º
orº
a grave,º
shall be uncleanºº
sevenº
days.º |
|
19:16
And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. |

19:17
And for an uncleanº
[person] they shall takeºº
of the ashesºº
of the burnt heiferº
of purification for sin,º
and runningº
waterº
shall be putºº
theretoº
inº
a vessel:º |
|
19:17
And for an unclean [person] they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel: |
|
19:18
And a cleanº
personº
shall takeºº
hyssop,º
and dipºº
[it] in the water,º
and sprinkleºº
[it] uponº
the tent,º
and uponº
allº
the vessels,º
and uponº
the personsº
thatº
wereº
there,º
and uponº
him that touchedºº
a bone,º
orº
one slain,º
orº
one dead,ºº
orº
a grave:º |

And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip [it] in the water, and sprinkle [it] upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave: |

19:19
And the cleanº
[person] shall sprinkleºº
uponº
the uncleanº
on the thirdº
day,º
and on the seventhº
day:º
and on the seventhº
dayº
he shall purifyºº
himself, and washºº
his clothes,º
and batheºº
himself in water,º
and shall be cleanºº
at even.º |

And the clean [person] shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even. |
|
19:20
But the manº
thatº
shall be unclean,ºº
and shall notº
purifyºº
himself,º
thatº
soulº
shall be cut offºº
from amongºº
the congregation,º
becauseº
he hath defiledººº
the sanctuaryº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:º
the waterº
of separationº
hath notº
been sprinkledºº
uponº
him; heº
[is] unclean.º |

19:20
But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he [is] unclean. |

19:21
And it shall beº
a perpetualº
statuteº
unto them, that he that sprinklethºº
the waterº
of separationº
shall washºº
his clothes;º
and he that touchethºº
the waterº
of separationº
shall be uncleanºº
untilº
even.º |
|
19:21
And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even. |
|
19:22
And whatsoeverºº
the uncleanº
[person] touchethºº
shall be unclean;ºº
and the soulº
that touchethºº
[it] shall be uncleanºº
untilº
even.º |

19:22
And whatsoever the unclean [person] toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth [it] shall be unclean until even. |
