יוֹסֵף,º
came near,ºº
and spakeºº
beforeº
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,º
and beforeº
the princes,º
the chiefº
fathersº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:º |

36:1 ¶
And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilad, the son of Makhir, the son of Menashsheh, of the families of the sons of Yosef, came near, and spake before Mosheh, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Yisrael: |
|
36:2
And they said,ºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
commandedººº
my
´áðôn
אֲדוֹןº
to giveººº
the landº
for an inheritanceº
by lotº
to the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:º
and my
´áðôn
אֲדוֹןº
was commandedºº
by
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
to giveººº
the inheritanceº
of
Xælofçäð
צְלָפחָדº
our brotherº
unto his daughters.º |

36:2
And they said, Yahweh commanded my adon to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Yisrael: and my adon was commanded by Yahweh to give the inheritance of Tzelofchad our brother unto his daughters. |
|
36:3
And if they be marriedºº
to anyº
of the sonsºº
of the [other] tribesº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
then shall their inheritanceº
be takenºº
from the inheritanceºº
of our fathers,º
and shall be putºº
toº
the inheritanceº
of the tribeº
whereuntoº
they are received:º
so shall it be takenºº
from the lotºº
of our inheritance.º |

36:3
And if they be married to any of the sons of the [other] tribes of the children of Yisrael, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance. |
|
36:4
And whenº
the jubileº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall be,º
then shall their inheritanceº
be putºº
untoº
the inheritanceº
of the tribeº
whereuntoº
they are received:º
so shall their inheritanceº
be taken awayºº
from the inheritanceºº
of the tribeº
of our fathers.º |

36:4
And when the jubile of the children of Yisrael shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers. |

The tribeº

And Mosheh commanded the children of Yisrael according to the word of Yahweh, saying, The tribe of the sons of Yosef hath said well. |

36:6
Thisº
[is] the thingº
whichº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
doth commandºº
concerning the daughtersº
of
Xælofçäð
צְלָפחָד,º
saying,ºº
Let them marryºº
to whom they thinkº
best;ºº
onlyº
to the familyº
of the tribeº
of their fatherº
shall they marry.ºº |

36:6
This [is] the thing which Yahweh doth command concerning the daughters of Tzelofchad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry. |
|
36:7
So shall notº
the inheritanceº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
removeºº
from tribeºº
toº
tribe:º
forº
every oneº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall keepºº
himself to the inheritanceº
of the tribeº
of his fathers.º |

36:7
So shall not the inheritance of the children of Yisrael remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Yisrael shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. |
|
36:8
And everyº
daughter,º
that possessethºº
an inheritanceº
in any tribeºº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
shall beº
wifeº
unto oneº
of the familyºº
of the tribeº
of her father,º
thatº
the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
may enjoyºº
every manº
the inheritanceº
of his fathers.º |

36:8
And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Yisrael, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Yisrael may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers. |
|
36:9
Neitherº
shall the inheritanceº
removeºº
from [one] tribeºº
to anotherº
tribe;º
butº
every oneº
of the tribesº
of the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall keepºº
himself to his own inheritance.º |
|
36:9
Neither shall the inheritance remove from [one] tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Yisrael shall keep himself to his own inheritance. |
|
36:10
Even asº

Even as Yahweh commanded Mosheh, so did the daughters of Tzelofchad: |

For

Tirxà
תִּרצָה,º
and
Çoqlà
חָגלָה,º
and
Milcà
מִלכָּה,º
and
Nöåç
נֹחַ,º
the daughtersº
of
Xælofçäð
צְלָפחָד,º
were marriedºº
unto their father'sº
brothers'º
sons:º |

For Machlah, Tirtzah, and Choglah, and Milkah, and Noach, the daughters of Tzelofchad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons: |

36:12
[And] they were marriedºº
into the familiesºº
of the sonsº
of
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁהº
the sonº
of
Yôsëf
יוֹסֵף,º
and their inheritanceº
remainedº
inº
the tribeº
of the familyº
of their father.º |

36:12
[And] they were married into the families of the sons of Menashsheh the son of Yosef, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father. |
|
36:13
Theseº
[are] the commandmentsº
and the judgments,º
whichº

commandedºº
by the handº

Möšè
מֹשֶׁהº
untoº
the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
in the plainsº
of
Mô´äv
מוֹאָבº

These [are] the commandments and the judgments, which Yahweh commanded by the hand of Mosheh unto the children of Yisrael in the plains of Moav by Yarden [near] Yericho. |
