Isaiah 32

1 The blessings of Christ's Kingdom. 9 Desolation is foreshewn. 15 Restoration is promised to succeed.

 32:1 Behold 2005, a king 4428 will reign 4427a righteously 6664 And princes 8269 will rule 8323 justly 4941.

 32:2 Each 376 will be like a refuge 4224a from the wind 7307 And a shelter 5643 from the storm 2230, Like streams 6388 of water 4325 in a dry 6724 country 6724, Like the shade 6738 of a huge 3515 rock 5553 in a parched 5889 land 776.

 32:3 Then the eyes 5869 of those who see 7200 will not be blinded 8173a, And the ears 241 of those who hear 8085 will listen 7181.

 32:4 The mind 3824 of the hasty 4116 will discern 995 the truth 1847, And the tongue 3956 of the stammerers 5926 will hasten 4116 to speak 1696 clearly 6703.

 32:5 No 3808 longer 5750 will the fool 5036 be called 7121 noble 5081, Or the rogue 3596 be spoken 559 of [as] generous 7771a.

 32:6 For a fool 5036 speaks 1696 nonsense 5039, And his heart 3820 inclines 6213a toward wickedness 205: To practice 6213a ungodliness 2612 and to speak 1696 error 8442 against 413 the LORD 3068, To keep 7385a the hungry 7457 person 5315 unsatisfied 7385a And to withhold 2637 drink 4945b from the thirsty 6771.

 32:7 As for a rogue 3596, his weapons 3627 are evil 7451a; He devises 3289 wicked 2154 schemes 2154 To destroy 2254b [the] afflicted 6041 with slander 561 8267, Even though [the] needy 34 one 34 speaks 1696 what 4941 is right 4941.

 32:8 But the noble 5081 man 5081 devises 3289 noble 5082 plans 5082; And by noble 5082 plans 5082 he stands 6965.

 32:9 ¶ Rise 6965 up, you women 802 who 7600 are at ease 7600, [And] hear 8085 my voice 6963; Give 238 ear 238 to my word 565a, You complacent 982 daughters 1323.

 32:10 Within 5921 a year 8141 and [a few] days 3117 You will be troubled 7264, O complacent 982 [daughters]; For the vintage 1210 is ended 3615, [And] the [fruit] gathering 625 will not come 935.

 32:11 Tremble 2729, you [women] who 7600 are at ease 7600; Be troubled 7264, you complacent 982 [daughters]; Strip 6584, undress 6209 and put 2296 [sackcloth] on [your] waist 2504,

 32:12 Beat 5594 your breasts 7699a for the pleasant 2531 fields 7704, for the fruitful 6509 vine 1612,

 32:13 For the land 127 of my people 5971a [in which] thorns 6975 [and] briars 8068 shall come 5927 up; Yea 3588, for all 3605 the joyful 4885 houses 1004 [and for] the jubilant 5947 city 7151.

 32:14 Because 3588 the palace 759 has been abandoned 5203, the populated 1995 city 5892b forsaken 5800a. Hill 6076a and watch-tower 975 have become 1961 caves 4631 forever 5704 5769, A delight 4885 for wild 6501 donkeys 6501, a pasture 4829 for flocks 5739;

 32:15 Until 5704 the Spirit 7307 is poured 6168 out upon us from on high 4791, And the wilderness 4057b becomes 1961 a fertile 3759 field 3759, And the fertile 3759 field 3759 is considered 2803 as a forest 3293a.

 32:16 Then justice 4941 will dwell 7931 in the wilderness 4057b And righteousness 6666 will abide 3427 in the fertile 3759 field 3759.

 32:17 And the work 4639 of righteousness 6666 will be peace 7965, And the service 5656 of righteousness 6666, quietness 8252 and confidence 983 forever 5704 5769.

 32:18 Then my people 5971a will live 3427 in a peaceful 7965 habitation 5116a, And in secure 4009 dwellings 4908 and in undisturbed 7600 resting 4496 places 4496;

 32:19 And it will hail 1258 when the forest 3293a comes 3381 down 3381, And the city 5892b will be utterly 8218 laid 8213 low 8213.

 32:20 How blessed 835 will you be, you who sow 2232 beside 5921 all 3605 waters 4325, Who let 7971 out freely 7971 the ox 7794 and the donkey 2543.
