Isaiah 46

1 The idols of Babylon could not save themselves. 3 God saveth his people to the end. 5 Idols are not comparable to God for power, 12 or present salvation.

 46:1 Bel 1078 has bowed 3766 down 3766, Nebo 5015b stoops 7164 over 7164; Their images 6091 are [consigned] to the beasts 2421b and the cattle 929. The things 5385 that you carry 5385 are burdensome 6006, A load 4853a for the weary 5889 [beast].

 46:2 They stooped 7164 over 7164, they have bowed 3766 down 3766 together 3164a; They could 3201 not rescue 4422 the burden 4853a, But have themselves 5315 gone 1980 into captivity 7628b.

 46:3 ¶ “Listen 8085 to Me, O house 1004 of Jacob 3290, And all 3605 the remnant 7611 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478, You who have been borne 6006 by Me from birth 990 And have been carried 5375 from the womb 7358;

 46:4 Even to [your] old 2209 age 2209 I will be the same 1931, And even 5704 to [your] graying 7872 years 7872 I will bear 5445 [you]! I have done 6213a [it], and I will carry 5375 [you]; And I will bear 5445 [you] and I will deliver 4422 [you].

 46:5 ¶ “To whom 4310 would you liken 1819 Me And make 7737a Me equal 7737a and compare 4911a Me, That we would be alike 1819?

 46:6 “Those who lavish 2107 gold 2091 from the purse 3599 And weigh 8254 silver 3701 on the scale 7070 Hire 7936 a goldsmith 6884, and he makes 6213a it [into] a god 410; They bow 5456 down 5456, indeed 637 they worship 7812 it.

 46:7 “They lift 5375 it upon the shoulder 3802 [and] carry 5445 it; They set 5117 it in its place 8478 and it stands 5975 [there]. It does not move 4185 from its place 4725. Though 637 one may cry 6817 to it, it cannot 3808 answer 6030a; It cannot 3808 deliver 3467 him from his distress 6869a.

 46:8 ¶ “Remember 2142 this 384, and be assured 847a; Recall 7725 it to mind 3820, you transgressors 6586.

 46:9 “Remember 2142 the former 7223 things 7223 long 5769 past 5769, For I am God 410, and there 369 is no 369 other 5750; [I am] God 430, and there is no 657 one 657 like 3644 Me,

 46:10 Declaring 5046 the end 319 from the beginning 7225, And from ancient 6924a times 6924a things which 834 have not been done 6213a, Saying 559, ‘My purpose 6098 will be established 6965, And I will accomplish 6213a all 3605 My good 2656 pleasure 2656’;

 46:11 Calling 7121 a bird 5861 of prey 5861 from the east 4217, The man 376 of My purpose 6098 from a far 4801 country 776. Truly 637 I have spoken 1696; truly 637 I will bring 935 it to pass 935. I have planned 3335 [it, surely] I will do 6213a it.

 46:12 ¶ “Listen 8085 to Me, you stubborn-minded 47 3820, Who are far 7350 from righteousness 6666.

 46:13 “I bring 7126 near 7126 My righteousness 6666, it is not far 7368 off; And My salvation 8668 will not delay 309. And I will grant 5414 salvation 8668 in Zion 6726, [And] My glory 8597 for Israel 3478.
