Isaiah 45

1 God calleth Cyrus for his Church's sake. 5 By his omnipotency he challengeth obedience. 20 He convinceth the idols of vanity by his saving power.

 45:1 Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068 to Cyrus 3566 His anointed 4899, Whom 834 I have taken 2388 by the right 3225 hand 3225, To subdue 7286 nations 1471 before 6440 him And to loose 6605a the loins 4975 of kings 4428; To open 6605a doors 1817 before 6440 him so that gates 8179 will not be shut 5462:

 45:2 “I will go 1980 before 6440 you and make 3474 the rough 1921 places 1921 smooth 3474; I will shatter 7665 the doors 1817 of bronze 5154 and cut 1438 through 1438 their iron 1270 bars 1280.

 45:3 “I will give 5414 you the treasures 214 of darkness 2822 And hidden 4301 wealth 4301 of secret 4565 places 4565, So that you may know 3045 that it is I, The LORD 3068, the God 430 of Israel 3478, who calls 7121 you by your name 8034.

 45:4 “For the sake 4616 of Jacob 3290 My servant 5650, And Israel 3478 My chosen 972 [one], I have also called 7121 you by your name 8034; I have given 3655 you a title 3655 of honor 3655 Though you have not known 3045 Me.

 45:5 “I am the LORD 3068, and there 369 is no 369 other 5750; Besides 2108 Me there 369 is no 369 God 430. I will gird 247 you, though you have not known 3045 Me;

 45:6 That men may know 3045 from the rising 4217 to the setting 4628 of the sun 8121 That there is no 657 one 657 besides 1107 Me. I am the LORD 3068, and there 369 is no 369 other 5750,

 45:7 The One forming 3335 light 216 and creating 1254a darkness 2822, Causing 6213a well-being 7965 and creating 1254a calamity 7451b; I am the LORD 3068 who does 6213a all 3605 these 428.

 45:8 ¶ “Drip 7491 down 7491, O heavens 8064, from above 4605, And let the clouds 7834 pour 5140 down 5140 righteousness 6664; Let the earth 776 open 6605a up and salvation 3468 bear 6509 fruit 6509, And righteousness 6666 spring 6779 up with it. I, the LORD 3068, have created 1254a it.

 45:9 ¶ “Woe 1945 to [the one] who quarrels 7378 with his Maker 3335— An earthenware 2789 vessel 2789 among 854 the vessels 2789 of earth 127! Will the clay 2563a say 559 to the potter 3335, ‘What 4100 are you doing 6213a?’ Or the thing 6467 you are making 6467 [say], ‘He has 369 no 369 hands 3027’?

 45:10 “Woe 1945 to him who says 559 to a father 1, ‘What 4100 are you begetting 3205?’ Or to a woman 802, ‘To what 4100 are you giving 2342a birth 2342a?’”

 45:11 ¶ Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, the Holy 6918 One 6918 of Israel 3478, and his Maker 3335: “Ask 7592 Me about 5921 the things 857 to come 857 concerning 5921 My sons 1121, And you shall commit 6680 to Me the work 6467 of My hands 3027.

 45:12 “It is I who made 6213a the earth 776, and created 1254a man 120 upon it. I stretched 5186 out the heavens 8064 with My hands 3027 And I ordained 6680 all 3605 their host 6635.

 45:13 “I have aroused 5782 him in righteousness 6664 And I will make 3474 all 3605 his ways 1870 smooth 3474; He will build 1129 My city 5892b and will let 7971 My exiles 1546 go 7971 free 7971, Without 3808 any payment 4242 or reward 7810,” says 559 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635.

 45:14 ¶ Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “The products 3018 of Egypt 4714 and the merchandise 5504 of Cush 3568a And the Sabeans 5436, men 376 of stature 4060a, Will come 5674a over 5674a to you and will be yours; They will walk 1980 behind 310 you, they will come 5674a over 5674a in chains 2203b And will bow 7812 down 7812 to you; They will make 6419 supplication 6419 to you: ‘Surely 389, God 410 is with you, and there 369 is none 369 else 5750, No 657 other 657 God 430.’”

 45:15 Truly 403, You are a God 410 who hides 5641 Himself, O God 430 of Israel 3478, Savior 3467!

 45:16 They will be put 954 to shame 954 and even 1571 humiliated 3637, all 3605 of them; The manufacturers 2796 of idols 6736 will go 1980 away together 3164a in humiliation 3639.

 45:17 Israel 3478 has been saved 3467 by the LORD 3068 With an everlasting 5769 salvation 8668; You will not be put 954 to shame 954 or humiliated 3637 To all 5703 eternity 5769.

 45:18 ¶ For thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, who created 1254a the heavens 8064 (He is the God 430 who formed 3335 the earth 776 and made 6213a it, He established 3559 it [and] did not create 1254a it a waste 8414 place 8414, [but] formed 3335 it to be inhabited 3427), “I am the LORD 3068, and there 369 is none 369 else 5750.

 45:19 “I have not spoken 1696 in secret 5643a, In some 4725 dark 2822 land 776; I did not say 559 to the offspring 2233 of Jacob 3290, ‘Seek 1245 Me in a waste 8414 place 8414’; I, the LORD 3068, speak 1696 righteousness 6664, Declaring 5046 things 4339 that are upright 4339.

 45:20 ¶ “Gather 6908 yourselves and come 935; Draw 5066 near 5066 together 3164a, you fugitives 6412a of the nations 1471; They have 3045 no 3808 knowledge 3045, Who carry 5375 about their wooden 6086 idol 6459 And pray 6419 to a god 410 who cannot 3808 save 3467.

 45:21 “Declare 5046 and set 5066 forth 5066 [your case]; Indeed 637, let them consult 3289 together 3164a. Who 4310 has announced 8085 this 384 from of old 6924a? Who has long 3975b since 3975b declared 5046 it? Is it not I, the LORD 3068? And there 369 is no 369 other 5750 God 430 besides 4480 1107 Me, A righteous 6662 God 410 and a Savior 3467; There 369 is none 369 except 2108 Me.

 45:22 “Turn 6437 to Me and be saved 3467, all 3605 the ends 657 of the earth 776; For I am God 410, and there 369 is no 369 other 5750.

 45:23 “I have sworn 7650 by Myself, The word 1697 has gone 3318 forth 3318 from My mouth 6310 in righteousness 6666 And will not turn 7725 back 7725, That to Me every 3605 knee 1290 will bow 3766, every 3605 tongue 3956 will swear 7650 [allegiance].

 45:24 “They will say 559 of Me, ‘Only 389 in the LORD 3068 are righteousness 6666 and strength 5797.’ Men will come 935 to Him, And all 3605 who were angry 2734 at Him will be put 954 to shame 954.

 45:25 “In the LORD 3068 all 3605 the offspring 2233 of Israel 3478 Will be justified 6663 and will glory 1984b.”
