in the land°

יְהוּדָה.° |

37:1 ¶
And king Tzidqiyyah the son of Yoshiyyah reigned instead of Konyah the son of Yehoyaqim, whom Nevukhadretztzar king of Bavel made king in the land of Yehudah. |

But neither°
he,°
nor his servants,°
nor the people°
of the land,°
did hearken°°
unto°
the words°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
which°
he spake°°
by°
the prophet°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה.° |

37:2
But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the words of Yahweh, which he spake by the prophet Yirmeyah. |

the king°

יְהוּכַל°
the son°
of
Šelemyà
שֶׁלֶמיָה°
and
Xæfanyà
צְפַניָה°
the son°

Ma`áŝëyà
מַעֲשֵׂיָה°
the priest°
to°
the prophet°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה,°
saying,°°
Pray°°
now°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
for°
us. |

And Tzidqiyyah the king sent Yehukhal the son of Shelemyah and Tzefanyah the son of Maaseyah the priest to the prophet Yirmeyah, saying, Pray now unto Yahweh our Elohim for us. |

Now

and went out°°
among°
the people:°
for they had not°
put°°
him into prison.°° |

Now Yirmeyah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison. |

Mixrayim

and when the
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים°
that besieged°°°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°
heard°°°
tidings°
of them, they departed°°
from°°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם.° |

Then Paroh's army was come forth out of Mitzrayim: and when the Kasdim that besieged Yerushalaim heard tidings of them, they departed from Yerushalaim. |

the word°

יָהוֶה°
unto°
the prophet°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה,°
saying,°° |

Then came the word of Yahweh unto the prophet Yirmeyah, saying, |

יָהוֶה,°
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
Thus°
shall ye say°°
to°
the king°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה,°
that sent°°
you unto°
me to enquire°°
of me; Behold,°
Par`ò's
פַּרעֹה°
army,°
which is come forth°°
to help°
you, shall return°°
to

into their own land.° |

Thus saith Yahweh, the Elohim of Yisrael; Thus shall ye say to the king of Yehudah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Paroh's army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Mitzrayim into their own land. |

And the

כַּשׂדִּים°
shall come again,°°
and fight°°
against°
this°
city,°
and take°°
it, and burn°°
it with fire.° |

And the Kasdim shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire. |

Thus°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה;°
Deceive°°
not°
yourselves,°
saying,°°
The
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים°
shall surely°°
depart°°°
from°°
us: for°
they shall not°
depart.°°° |

Thus saith Yahweh; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Kasdim shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart. |

37:10
For°
though°
ye had smitten°°
the whole°
army°
of the
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים°
that fight°°
against°
you, and there remained°°
[but] wounded°°
men°°
among them, [yet] should they rise°
up°°
every man°
in his tent,°
and burn°°°
this°
city°
with fire.° |

For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Kasdim that fight against you, and there remained [but] wounded men among them, [yet] should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire. |
|
37:11 ¶
And it came to pass,°
that when the army°
of the
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים°
was broken up°°
from°°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°
for fear°°
of
Par`ò's
פַּרעֹה°
army,° |

37:11 ¶
And it came to pass, that when the army of the Kasdim was broken up from Yerushalaim for fear of Paroh's army, |

Then
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
went forth°°
out of
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם°°
to go°°°
into the land°
of
Binyämîn
בִּניָמִין,°
to separate°°
himself°
thence°°
in the midst°
of the people.° |

Then Yirmeyah went forth out of Yerushalaim to go into the land of Binyamin, to separate himself thence in the midst of the people. |

And when he°
was°
in the gate°
of
Binyämîn
בִּניָמִין,°
a captain°
of the ward°
[was] there,°
whose name°
[was]
Yir´iyyäyh
יִראִיָּיה,°
the son°
of
Šelemyà
שֶׁלֶמיָה,°
the son°
of
Çánanyà
חֲנַניָה;°
and he took°°°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
the prophet,°
saying,°°
Thou°
fallest away°°
to°
the
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים.° |

And when he was in the gate of Binyamin, a captain of the ward [was] there, whose name [was] Yiriyyayh, the son of Shelemyah, the son of Chananyah; and he took Yirmeyah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Kasdim. |
|

[It is] false;°
I fall°
not°
away°°
to°
the
Caŝdîm
כַּשׂדִּים.°
But he hearkened°°
not°
to°
him: so
Yir´iyyäyh
יִראִיָּיה°
took°°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה,°
and brought°°
him to°
the princes.° |

Then said Yirmeyah, [It is] false; I fall not away to the Kasdim. But he hearkened not to him: so Yiriyyayh took Yirmeyah, and brought him to the princes. |
|
37:15
Wherefore the princes°
were wroth°°
with°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה,°
and smote°°
him, and put°°
him in prison°°
in the house°
of
Yæhônäŧän
יְהוֹנָתָן°
the scribe:°°
for°
they had made°°
that the prison.°° |

Wherefore the princes were wroth with Yirmeyah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Yehonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison. |

37:16 ¶

Yirmæyà

was entered°°
into°
the dungeon,°°
and into°
the cabins,°
and
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
had remained°°
there°
many°
days;° |

When Yirmeyah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Yirmeyah had remained there many days; |

the king°
sent,°°
and took°
him out:°°
and the king°
asked°°
him secretly°
in his house,°
and said,°°
Is there°
[any] word°
from°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה?°
And
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
said,°°
There is:°
for, said°°
he, thou shalt be delivered°°
into the hand°
of the king°
of
Bävel
בָּבֶל.° |

Then Tzidqiyyah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there [any] word from Yahweh? And Yirmeyah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Bavel. |

your prophets°

you, nor against°

Where [are] now your prophets which prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Bavel shall not come against you, nor against this land? |

I pray thee,°
O my

the king:°
let my supplication,°
I pray thee,°
be accepted°°
before°
thee; that thou cause me not°
to return°°
to the house°
of
Yæhônäŧän
יְהוֹנָתָן°
the scribe,°°
lest°
I die°°
there.° |

Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my adon the king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of Yehonathan the scribe, lest I die there. |

Then

commanded°°
that they should commit°°°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
into the court°
of the prison,°
and that they should give°°
him daily°
a piece°
of bread°
out of the bakers'°°
street,°°
until°
all°
the bread°
in°
the city°
were spent.°°
Thus
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
remained°°
in the court°
of the prison.° |

37:21
Then Tzidqiyyah the king commanded that they should commit Yirmeyah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Yirmeyah remained in the court of the prison. |
