 14:1 ¶ Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.

 14:1 ¶ Letºº notº yourº heartº be troubled:ºº ye believeºº inº God,º believeººº alsoº inº me.º

 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

 14:2 Inº myº Father'sº houseº areºº manyº mansions:º if [it were] notº [so], I would have toldººº you.º I goºº to prepareºº a placeº for you.º

 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

 14:3 Andº ifº I goºº andº prepareºº a placeº for you,º I will comeºº again,º andº receiveºº youº untoº myself;º thatº whereº Iº am,ºº [there] yeº may beºº also.º

 14:4 And whither I go, ye know the way.

 14:4 Andº whitherº Iº goºº ye know,ºº andº theº wayº ye know.ºº

 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?

 14:5 Thomasº saithºº unto him,º Lord,º we knowºº notº whitherº thou goest;ºº andº howº canº weºº knowºº theº way?º

 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

 14:6 Jesusº saithºº unto him,º Iº amºº theº way,ºº theº truth,º andº theº life:º no manº comethºº untoº theº Father,º butº byº me.º

 14:7 If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

 14:7 Ifº ye had knownºº me,ºº ye should have knownººº myº Fatherº also:º andº fromº henceforthº ye knowºº him,º andº have seenºº him.º

 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

 14:8 Philipº saithºº unto him,º Lord,º shewºº usº theº Father,º andº it sufficethºº us.º

 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?

 14:9 Jesusº saithºº unto him,º Have I beenºº so longº timeº withº you,º andº yetº hast thouºº notº knownºº me,º Philip?º he that hath seenºº meº hath seenºº theº Father;º andº howº sayestºº thouº [then], Shewºº usº theº Father?º

 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

 14:10 Believestº thouºº notº thatº Iº amºº inº theº Father,º andº theº Fatherº inº me?º theº wordsº thatº Iº speakºº unto youº I speakºº notº ofº myself:º butº theº Fatherº that dwellethºº inº me,º heº doethºº theº works.º

 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

 14:11 Believeºº meº thatº Iº [am] inº theº Father,º andº theº Fatherº inº me:º or elseº believeºº meº forº the veryºº works'º sake.ºººº

 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.

 14:12 Verily,º verily,º I sayºº unto you,º He that believethºº onº me,º theº worksº thatº Iº doºº shall he doºº also;ºº andº greaterº [works] thanº theseº shall he do;ºº becauseº Iº goºº untoº myº Father.º

 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

 14:13 Andºº whatsoeverºº ye shall askºº inº myº name,º thatº will I do,ºº thatº theº Fatherº may be glorifiedºº inº theº Son.º

 14:14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.

 14:14 Ifº ye shall askºº any thingº inº myº name,º Iº will doºº [it].

 14:15 ¶ If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.

 14:15 ¶ Ifº ye loveºº me,º keepºº myº commandments.º

 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,

 14:16 Andº Iº will prayºº theº Father,º andº he shall giveºº youº anotherº Comforter,º thatº he may abideºº withº youº forº ever;ºº

 14:17 [even] the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.

 14:17 [Even] theº Spiritº of truth;º whomº theº worldº cannotººº receive,ºº becauseº it seethºº himº not,º neitherº knowethºº him:º butº yeº knowºº him;º forº he dwellethºº withº you,º andº shall beºº inº you.º

 14:18 I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.

 14:18 I willºº notº leaveºº youº comfortless:º I will comeºº toº you.º

 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also.

 14:19 Yetº a little while,º andº theº worldº seethºº meº noº more;ºº butº yeº seeºº me:º becauseº Iº live,ºº yeº shall liveºº also.º

 14:20 In that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

 14:20 Atº thatº dayº yeº shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] inº myº Father,º andº yeº inº me,º and Iº inº you.º

 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.

 14:21 He that hathºº myº commandments,º andº keepethºº them,º heº it isºº that lovethºº me:º andº he that lovethºº meº shall be lovedºº ofº myº Father,º andº Iº will loveºº him,º andº will manifestºº myselfº to him.º

 14:22 Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, what is come to pass that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

 14:22 Judasº saithºº unto him,º notº Iscariot,º Lord,º howº isº itºº thatº thou wiltºº manifestºº thyselfº unto us,º andº notº unto theº world?º

 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

 14:23 Jesusº answeredºº andº saidºº unto him,º Ifº a manº loveºº me,º he will keepºº myº words:º andº myº Fatherº will loveºº him,º andº we will comeºº untoº him,º andº makeºº our abodeº withº him.º

 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my words: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

 14:24 He that lovethºº meº notº keepethºº notº myº sayings:º andº theº wordº whichº ye hearºº isºº notº mine,º butº the Father'sº whichº sentºº me.º

 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, while [yet] abiding with you.

 14:25 These thingsº have I spokenºº unto you,º being [yet] presentºº withº you.º

 14:26 But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.

 14:26 Butº theº Comforter,º [which is] theº Holyº Ghost,º whomº theº Fatherº will sendºº inº myº name,º heº shall teachºº youº all things,º andº bringºº all thingsº toºº yourº remembrance,ºººº whatsoeverº I have saidºº unto you.º

 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

 14:27 Peaceº I leaveºº with you,º myº peaceº I giveºº unto you:º notº asº theº worldº giveth,ºº giveºº Iº unto you.º Letºº notº yourº heartº be troubled,ºº neitherº let it be afraid.ºº

 14:28 Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

 14:28 Ye have heardºº howº Iº saidºº unto you,º I go away,ºº andº comeºº [again] untoº you.º Ifº ye lovedºº me,ºº ye would rejoice,ººº becauseº I said,ºº I goºº untoº theº Father:º forº myº Fatherº isºº greaterº thanº I.º

 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe.

 14:29 Andº nowº I have toldºº youº beforeº it come to pass,ºº that,º whenº it is come to pass,ºº ye might believe.ºº

 14:30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me;

 14:30 Hereafterººº I willºº notºº talkºº muchº withº you:º forº theº princeº of thisº worldº cometh,ºº andº hathººº nothingº inº me.º

 14:31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

 14:31 Butº thatº theº worldº may knowºº thatº I loveºº theº Father;º andº asº theº Fatherº gaveºº meº commandment,ººº even soº I do.ºº Arise,ºº let us goºº hence.º
