6:1 ¶
Again, Dawid gathered together all [the] chosen [men] of Yisrael, thirty thousand. |
|
6:2
And
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
arose,°°
and went°°°
with all°
the people°
that°
[were] with°
him from
Ba`álê
בַּעֲלֵי°°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה,°°
to bring up°°
from thence°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
whose°
name°
is called°°
by the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
Xævä´ôŧ
צְבָאוֹת°
that dwelleth°°°
[between] the cherubims.° |

6:2
And Dawid arose, and went with all the people that [were] with him from Baale of Yehudah, to bring up from thence the ark of Elohim, whose name is called by the name of Yahweh Tzevaoth that dwelleth [between] the cherubims. |
|
6:3
And they set°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
upon°
a new°
cart,°
and brought°°
it out of the house°°
of
´Ávînäđäv
אֲבִינָדָב°
that°
[was] in
Giv`à
גִּבעָה:°
and
`Uzzä´
עֻזָּא°
and
´Açyô
אַחיוֹ,°
the sons°
of
´Ávînäđäv
אֲבִינָדָב,°
drave°°°
the new°
cart.° |

6:3
And they set the ark of Elohim upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Avinadav that [was] in Givah: and Uzza and Achyo, the sons of Avinadav, drave the new cart. |

6:4
And they brought°°
it out of the house°°
of
´Ávînäđäv
אֲבִינָדָב°
which°
[was] at
Giv`à
גִּבעָה,°
accompanying°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים:°
and
´Açyô
אַחיוֹ°
went°°
before°
the ark.° |

And they brought it out of the house of Avinadav which [was] at Givah, accompanying the ark of Elohim: and Achyo went before the ark. |

6:5
And

and all°
the house°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
played°°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
on all°
manner of [instruments made of] fir°
wood,°
even on harps,°
and on psalteries,°
and on timbrels,°
and on cornets,°
and on cymbals.° |

And Dawid and all the house of Yisrael played before Yahweh on all manner of [instruments made of] fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals. |
|
6:6 ¶
And when they came°°
to°
Näȼôn's
נָכוֹן°
threshingfloor,°
`Uzzä´
עֻזָּא°
put forth°°
[his hand] to°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and took hold°°
of it; for°
the oxen°
shook°°
[it]. |

6:6 ¶
And when they came to Nakhon's threshingfloor, Uzza put forth [his hand] to the ark of Elohim, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook [it]. |
|
6:7
And the anger°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
was kindled°°
against
`Uzzä´
עֻזָּא;°
and
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
smote°°
him there°
for°
[his] error;°
and there°
he died°°
by°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

6:7
And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against Uzza; and Elohim smote him there for [his] error; and there he died by the ark of Elohim. |
|
6:8
And

דָּוִד°
was displeased,°°
because°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
had made°°
a breach°
upon
`Uzzä´
עֻזָּא:°
and he called°°
the name°
of the°
place°
Perex `Uzzà
פֶּרֶץ־עֻזָּה°
to°
this°
day.° |

6:8
And Dawid was displeased, because Yahweh had made a breach upon Uzza: and he called the name of the place Peretz-Uzzah to this day. |
|
6:9
And
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
was afraid°°
of°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
that°
day,°
and said,°°
How°
shall the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
come°°
to°
me? |
|
6:9
And Dawid was afraid of Yahweh that day, and said, How shall the ark of Yahweh come to me? |
|
6:10
So
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
would°°
not°
remove°°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
unto°
him into°
the city°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד:°
but
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
carried it aside°°
into the house°
of
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם°
the
Gittî
גִּתִּי.° |

6:10
So Dawid would not remove the ark of Yahweh unto him into the city of Dawid: but Dawid carried it aside into the house of Oved-Edom the Gitti. |
|
6:11
And the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
continued°°
in the house°
of
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם°
the
Gittî
גִּתִּי°
three°
months:°
and
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
blessed°°°
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם,°
and all°
his household.° |

6:11
And the ark of Yahweh continued in the house of Oved-Edom the Gitti three months: and Yahweh blessed Oved-Edom, and all his household. |
|
6:12 ¶
And it was told°°
king°

דָּוִד,°
saying,°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath blessed°°°
the house°
of
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם,°
and all°
that°
[pertaineth] unto him, because°
of the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.°
So
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
went°°°
and brought up°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
from the house°°
of
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם°
into the city°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
with gladness.° |

6:12 ¶
And it was told king Dawid, saying, Yahweh hath blessed the house of Oved-Edom, and all that [pertaineth] unto him, because of the ark of Elohim. So Dawid went and brought up the ark of Elohim from the house of Oved-Edom into the city of Dawid with gladness. |
|
6:13
And it was°
[so], that when°
they that bare°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
had gone°°
six°
paces,°
he sacrificed°°
oxen°
and fatlings.° |

6:13
And it was [so], that when they that bare the ark of Yahweh had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. |
|
6:14
And

דָּוִד°
danced°°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
with all°
[his] might;°
and
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
[was] girded°°
with a linen°
ephod.° |

And Dawid danced before Yahweh with all [his] might; and Dawid [was] girded with a linen ephod. |

6:15
So

דָּוִד°
and all°
the house°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
brought up°°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
with shouting,°
and with the sound°
of the trumpet.° |

6:15
So Dawid and all the house of Yisrael brought up the ark of Yahweh with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. |
|
6:16
And as°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
came°°
into the city°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
Mîȼal
מִיכַל°
Šä´ûl's
שָׁאוּל°
daughter°
looked°°
through°
a window,°
and saw°°°
king°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
leaping°°
and dancing°°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;°
and she despised°°
him in her heart.° |

6:16
And as the ark of Yahweh came into the city of Dawid, Mikhal Shaul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king Dawid leaping and dancing before Yahweh; and she despised him in her heart. |
|
6:17 ¶
And they brought°°
in°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
and set°°
it in his place,°
in the midst°
of the tabernacle°
that°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
had pitched°°
for it: and
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
offered°°
burnt offerings°
and peace offerings°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

6:17 ¶
And they brought in the ark of Yahweh, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that Dawid had pitched for it: and Dawid offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh. |
|
6:18
And as soon as

had made an end°°
of offering°°°
burnt offerings°
and peace offerings,°
he blessed°°°
the people°
in the name°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
Xævä´ôŧ
צְבָאוֹת.° |

6:18
And as soon as Dawid had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh Tzevaoth. |
|
6:19
And he dealt°°
among all°
the people,°
[even] among the whole°
multitude°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
as well to°
the women°
as men,°°
to every one°
a°
cake°
of bread,°
and a°
good piece°
[of flesh], and a°
flagon°
[of wine]. So all°
the people°
departed°°°
every one°
to his house.° |

And he dealt among all the people, [even] among the whole multitude of Yisrael, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece [of flesh], and a flagon [of wine]. So all the people departed every one to his house. |

6:20 ¶
Then

to bless°°°
his household.°
And

מִיכַל°
the daughter°
of
Šä´ûl
שָׁאוּל°
came out°°
to meet°°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
and said,°°
How°
glorious°°
was the king°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
to day,°
who°
uncovered°°
himself°
to day°
in the eyes°
of the handmaids°
of his servants,°
as one°
of the vain fellows°
shamelessly°°
uncovereth°°
himself!° |

6:20 ¶
Then Dawid returned to bless his household. And Mikhal the daughter of Shaul came out to meet Dawid, and said, How glorious was the king of Yisrael to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! |

And

therefore will I play°°
before°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

6:21
And Dawid said unto Mikhal, [It was] before Yahweh, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of Yahweh, over Yisrael: therefore will I play before Yahweh. |
|
6:22
And I will yet°
be more vile°°
than thus,°°
and will be°
base°
in mine own sight:°
and of°
the maidservants°
which°
thou hast spoken°°
of, of them shall I be had in honour.°° |

6:22
And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. |

6:23
Therefore
Mîȼal
מִיכַל°
the daughter°
of
Šä´ûl
שָׁאוּל°
had°
no°
child°°°
unto°
the day°
of her death.° |
|
6:23
Therefore Mikhal the daughter of Shaul had no child unto the day of her death. |
