Jeremiah 52

1 Zedekiah rebelleth. 4 Jerusalem is besieged and taken. 8 Zedekiah's sons killed, and his own eyes put out. 12 Nubuzar-adan burneth and spoileth the city. 24 He carrieth away the captives. 31 Evil-Merodach advanceth Jehoiachin.

 52:1 Zedekiah 6667 was twenty-one 6242 259 years 8141 old 1121 when he became 4427a king 4427a, and he reigned 4427a eleven 259 6240 years 8141 in Jerusalem 3389; and his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Hamutal 2537 the daughter 1323 of Jeremiah 3414 of Libnah 3841.

 52:2 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068 like all 3605 that Jehoiakim 3079 had done 6213a.

 52:3 For through 5921 the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 [this] came 1961 about in Jerusalem 3389 and Judah 3063 until 5704 He cast 7993 them out from His presence 6440. And Zedekiah 6667 rebelled 4775 against the king 4428 of Babylon 894.

 52:4 Now it came 1961 about in the ninth 8671 year 8141 of his reign 4427a, on the tenth 6218 [day] of the tenth 6224 month 2320, that Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 came 935, he and all 3605 his army 2428, against 5921 Jerusalem 3389, camped 2583 against 5921 it and built 1129 a siege 1785 wall 1785 all 5439 around 5439 it.

 52:5 So the city 5892b was under siege 4692 until 5704 the eleventh 6249 6240 year 8141 of King 4428 Zedekiah 6667.

 52:6 On the ninth 8672 [day] of the fourth 7243 month 2320 the famine 7458 was so severe 2388 in the city 5892b that there was no 3808 food 3899 for the people 5971a of the land 776.

 52:7 Then the city 5892b was broken 1234 into, and all 3605 the men 376 of war 4421 fled 1272 and went 3318 forth 3318 from the city 5892b at night 3915 by way 1870 of the gate 8179 between 996 the two walls 2346 which 834 [was] by the king’s 4428 garden 1588, though the Chaldeans 3778 were all 5439 around 5439 the city 5892b. And they went 1980 by way 1870 of the Arabah 6160.

 52:8 But the army 2428 of the Chaldeans 3778 pursued 7291 the king 4428 and overtook 5381 Zedekiah 6667 in the plains 6160 of Jericho 3405, and all 3605 his army 2428 was scattered 6327a from him.

 52:9 Then they captured 8610 the king 4428 and brought 5927 him up to the king 4428 of Babylon 894 at Riblah 7247 in the land 776 of Hamath 2574, and he passed 1696 sentence 1696 on him.

 52:10 The king 4428 of Babylon 894 slaughtered 7819 the sons 1121 of Zedekiah 6667 before his eyes 5869, and he also 1571 slaughtered 7819 all 3605 the princes 8269 of Judah 3063 in Riblah 7247.

 52:11 Then he blinded 5786 the eyes 5869 of Zedekiah 6667; and the king 4428 of Babylon 894 bound 631 him with bronze 5178 fetters 5178 and brought 935 him to Babylon 894 and put 5414 him in prison 1004 6486 until 5704 the day 3117 of his death 4194.

 52:12 ¶ Now on the tenth 6218 [day] of the fifth 2549 month 2320, which 1931 was the nineteenth 8672 6240 year 8141 of King 4428 Nebuchadnezzar 5019, king 4428 of Babylon 894, Nebuzaradan 5018 the captain 7227b of the bodyguard 2876, who was in the service 5975 6440 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894, came 935 to Jerusalem 3389.

 52:13 He burned 8313 the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, the king’s 4428 house 1004 and all 3605 the houses 1004 of Jerusalem 3389; even every 3605 large 1419 house 1004 he burned 8313 with fire 784.

 52:14 So all 3605 the army 2428 of the Chaldeans 3778 who 834 [were] with the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 broke 5422 down 5422 all 3605 the walls 2346 around 5439 Jerusalem 3389.

 52:15 Then Nebuzaradan 5018 the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 carried 1540 away 1540 into exile 1540 some 4480 of the poorest 1803b of the people 5971a, the rest 3499a of the people 5971a who were left 7604 in the city 5892b, the deserters 5307 who 834 had deserted 5307 to the king 4428 of Babylon 894 and the rest 3499a of the artisans 525.

 52:16 But Nebuzaradan 5018 the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 left 7604 some 4480 of the poorest 1803b of the land 776 to be vinedressers 3755 and plowmen 3009.

 52:17 ¶ Now the bronze 5178 pillars 5982 which 834 belonged to the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 and the stands 4350 and the bronze 5178 sea 3220, which 834 were in the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, the Chaldeans 3778 broke 7665 in pieces 7665 and carried 5375 all 3605 their bronze 5178 to Babylon 894.

 52:18 They also took 3947 away the pots 5518a, the shovels 3257, the snuffers 4212, the basins 4219, the pans 3709 and all 3605 the bronze 5178 vessels 3627 which 834 were used 8334 in [temple] service 8334.

 52:19 The captain 7227b of the guard 2876 also took 3947 away the bowls 5592a, the firepans 4289, the basins 4219, the pots 5518a, the lampstands 4501, the pans 3709 and the drink 4518 offering 4518 bowls 4518, what 834 was fine 3701 gold 2091 and what 834 was fine 3701 silver 3701.

 52:20 The two 8147 pillars 5982, the one 259 sea 3220, and the twelve 8147 6240 bronze 5178 bulls 1241 that were under 8478 the sea 3220, [and] the stands 4350, which 834 King 4428 Solomon 8010 had made 6213a for the house 1004 of the LORD 3068—the bronze 5178 of all 3605 these 428 vessels 3627 was beyond 3808 weight 4948.

 52:21 As for the pillars 5982, the height 6967 of each 259 pillar 5982 [was] eighteen 8083 6240 cubits 520, and it [was] twelve 8147 6240 cubits 520 in circumference 5437 2339 and four 702 fingers 676 in thickness 5672, [and] hollow 5014.

 52:22 Now a capital 3805 of bronze 5178 was on it; and the height 6967 of each 259 capital 3805 was five 2568 cubits 520, with network 7639 and pomegranates 7416 upon the capital 3805 all 5439 around 5439, all 3605 of bronze 5178. And the second 8145 pillar 5982 was like these 428, including pomegranates 7416.

 52:23 There were ninety-six 8673 8337a exposed 7307 pomegranates 7416; all 3605 the pomegranates 7416 [numbered] a hundred 3967 on the network 7639 all 5439 around 5439.

 52:24 ¶ Then the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 took 3947 Seraiah 8304 the chief 7218 priest 3548 and Zephaniah 6846 the second 4932 priest 3548, with the three 7969 officers 8104 of the temple 5592b.

 52:25 He also took 3947 from the city 5892b one 259 official 5631 who 834 was overseer 6496 of the men 376 of war 4421, and seven 7651 of the king’s 4428 advisers 582 7200 who 834 were found 4672 in the city 5892b, and the scribe 5613b of the commander 8269 of the army 6635 who mustered 6633 the people 5971a of the land 776, and sixty 8346 men 376 of the people 5971a of the land 776 who were found 4672 in the midst 8432 of the city 5892b.

 52:26 Nebuzaradan 5018 the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 took 3947 them and brought 1980 them to the king 4428 of Babylon 894 at Riblah 7247.

 52:27 Then the king 4428 of Babylon 894 struck 5221 them down 5221 and put 4191 them to death 4191 at Riblah 7247 in the land 776 of Hamath 2574. So Judah 3063 was led 1540 away 1540 into exile 1540 from its land 127.

 52:28 ¶ These 2088 are the people 5971a whom 834 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 carried 1540 away 1540 into exile 1540: in the seventh 7651 year 8141 3,023 7969 505 6242 7969 Jews 3064;

 52:29 in the eighteenth 8083 6240 year 8141 of Nebuchadnezzar 5019 832 8083 3967 7970 8147 persons 5315 from Jerusalem 3389;

 52:30 in the twenty-third 6242 7969 year 8141 of Nebuchadnezzar 5019, Nebuzaradan 5018 the captain 7227b of the guard 2876 carried 1540 into exile 1540 745 7651 3967 705 2568 Jewish 3064 people 5315; there were 4,600 702 505 8337a 3967 persons 5315 in all 3605.

 52:31 ¶ Now it came 1961 about in the thirty-seventh 7970 7651 year 8141 of the exile 1546 of Jehoiachin 3078 king 4428 of Judah 3063, in the twelfth 8147 6240 month 2320, on the twenty-fifth 6242 2568 of the month 2320, that Evil-merodach 192 king 4428 of Babylon 894, in the [first] year 8141 of his reign 4438, showed 5375 favor 5375 7218 to Jehoiachin 3078 king 4428 of Judah 3063 and brought 3318 him out of prison 1004 3628.

 52:32 Then he spoke 1696 kindly 2899b to him and set 5414 his throne 3678 above 4480 4605 the thrones 3678 of the kings 4428 who 834 [were] with him in Babylon 894.

 52:33 So Jehoiachin changed 8132 his prison 3608 clothes 899b, and had 398 his meals 3899 in the king’s presence 6440 regularly 8548 all 3605 the days 3117 of his life 2425b.

 52:34 For his allowance 737, a regular 8548 allowance 737 was given 5414 him by the king 4428 of Babylon 894, a daily 3117 portion 1697 all 3605 the days 3117 of his life 2425b until 5704 the day 3117 of his death 4194.
