 11:1 ¶ Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and shalt observe his appointments, and his ordinances, and his commandments, and his judgments, always.

 11:1 ¶ Therefore thou shalt loveººº Yahwehº thy Elohim,º and keepºº his charge,º and his statutes,º and his judgments,º and his commandments,º alway.ºº

 11:2 And ye shall know this day; for [I speak] not to your children, who know not and have not seen the discipline of the Lord thy God, and his wonderful works, and his strong hand, and his high arm,

 11:2 And knowºº ye this day:º forº [I speak] notº withº your childrenº whichº have notº known,ºº and whichº have notº seenººº the chastisementº of Yahwehº your Elohim,ºº his greatness,ºº his mightyº hand,º and his stretched outºº arm,º

 11:3 and his miracles, and his wonders, which he wrought in the midst of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} on Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and all his land;

 11:3 And his miracles,º and his acts,º whichº he didºº in the midstº of Egyptº unto Pharaohº the kingº of Egypt,º and unto allº his land;º

 11:4 and what he did to the host of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and to their chariots, and their cavalry, and their host; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overwhelm the face of them as they pursued after you, and the Lord destroyed them until this day;

 11:4 And whatº he didºº unto the armyº of Egypt,º unto their horses,º and to their chariots;º howº he madeº the waterº of the Redº seaº to overflowºººº themº as they pursuedºº afterº you, and [how] Yahwehº hath destroyedºº them untoº thisº day;º

 11:5 and all the things which he did to you in the wilderness until ye came into this place;

 11:5 And whatº he didºº unto you in the wilderness,º untilº ye cameºº intoº thisº place;º

 11:6 and all the things that he did to Dathan and Abiram{gr.Abiron} the sons of Aholiab{gr.Eliab} the son of Reuben{gr.Ruben}, whom the earth opening her mouth swallowed up, and their houses, and their tents, and all their substance that was with them, in the midst of all Israel:

 11:6 And whatº he didºº unto Dathanº and Abiram,º the sonsº of Eliab,º the sonº of Reuben:º howº the earthº openedººº her mouth,º and swallowed them up,ºº and their households,º and their tents,º and allº the substanceº thatº [was] in their possession,º in the midstº of allº Israel:º

 11:7 for your eyes have seen all the mighty works of the Lord, which he wrought among you to-day.

 11:7 Butº your eyesº have seenººº allº the greatº actsº of Yahwehº whichº he did.ºº

 11:8 And ye shall keep all his commandments, as many as I command thee to-day, that ye may live, and be multiplied, and that ye may go in and inherit the land, into which ye go across Jordan to inherit it:

 11:8 Therefore shall ye keepººº allº the commandmentsº whichº Iº commandºº you this day,º thatº ye may be strong,ºº and go inºº and possessººº the land,º whitherºº yeº goºº to possessºº it;

 11:9 that ye may live long upon the land, which the Lord sware to your fathers to give to them, and to their seed after them, a land flowing with milk and honey.

 11:9 And thatº ye may prolongºº [your] daysº inº the land,º whichº Yahwehº swareºº unto your fathersº to giveºº unto them and to their seed,º a landº that flowethºº with milkº and honey.º

 11:10 ¶ For the land into which thou goest to inherit it, is not as the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, whence ye came out, whensoever they sow the seed, and water it with their feet, as a garden of herbs:

 11:10 ¶ Forº the land,º whitherºº thouº goest inºº to possessºº it, [is] notº as the landº of Egypt,º from whenceººº ye came out,ºº whereº thou sowedstººº thy seed,º and wateredstºº [it] with thy foot,º as a gardenº of herbs:º

 11:11 but the land into which thou goest to inherit it, is a land of mountains and plains; it shall drink water of the rain of heaven.

 11:11 But the land,º whitherºº yeº goºº to possessºº it, [is] a landº of hillsº and valleys,º [and] drinkethºº waterº of the rainº of heaven:º

 11:12 A land which the Lord thy God surveys continually, the eyes of the Lord thy God are upon it from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

 11:12 A landº whichº Yahwehº thy Elohimº carethº for:ºº the eyesº of Yahwehº thy Elohimº [are] alwaysº upon it, from the beginningºº of the yearº even untoº the endº of the year.º

 11:13 ¶ Now if ye will indeed hearken to all the commands which I charge thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to serve him with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,

 11:13 ¶ And it shall come to pass,º ifº ye shall hearkenºº diligentlyºº untoº my commandmentsº whichº Iº commandºº you this day,º to loveººº Yahwehº your Elohim,º and to serveºº him with allº your heartº and with allº your soul,º

 11:14 then he shall give to thy land the early and latter rain in its season, and thou shalt bring in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

 11:14 That I will giveºº [you] the rainº of your landº in his due season,º the first rainº and the latter rain,º that thou mayest gatherºº inº thy corn,º and thy wine,º and thine oil.º

 11:15 And he shall give food in thy fields to thy cattle; and when thou hast eaten and art full,

 11:15 And I will sendºº grassº in thy fieldsº for thy cattle,º that thou mayest eatºº and be full.ºº

 11:16 take heed to thyself that thy heart be not puffed up, and ye transgress, and serve other gods, and worship them:

 11:16 Take heedºº to yourselves, thatº your heartº be not deceived,ºº and ye turn aside,ºº and serveºº otherº elohim,º and worshipºº them;

 11:17 and the Lord be angry with you, and restrain the heaven; and there shall not be rain, and the earth shall not yield its fruit, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land, which the Lord has given you.

 11:17 And [then] Yahweh'sº wrathº be kindledºº against you, and he shut upººº the heaven,º that there beº noº rain,º and that the landº yieldºº notºº her fruit;º and [lest] ye perishºº quicklyº from offºº the goodº landº whichº Yahwehº givethºº you.

 11:18 ¶ And ye shall store these words in your heart and in your soul, and ye shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and it shall be fixed before your eyes.

 11:18 ¶ Therefore shall ye lay upººº theseº my wordsº inº your heartº and inº your soul,º and bindºº them for a signº uponº your hand,º that they may beº as frontletsº betweenº your eyes.º

 11:19 And ye shall teach them to your children, so as to speak about them when thou sittest in the house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou sleepest, and when thou risest up.

 11:19 And ye shall teachºº themº your children,º speakingºº of them when thou sittestºº in thine house,º and when thou walkestººº by the way,º when thou liestºº down,º and when thou risest up.ºº

 11:20 And ye shall write them on the lintels of your houses, and on your gates;

 11:20 And thou shalt writeºº them uponº the door postsº of thine house,º and upon thy gates:º

 11:21 that your days may be long, and the days of your children, upon the land which the Lord sware to your fathers to give to them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

 11:21 Thatº your daysº may be multiplied,ºº and the daysº of your children,º inº the landº whichº Yahwehº swareºº unto your fathersº to giveºº them, as the daysº of heavenº uponº the earth.º

 11:22 ¶ And it shall come to pass that if ye will indeed hearken to all these commands, which I charge thee to observe this day, to love the Lord our God, and to walk in all his ways, and to cleave close to him;

 11:22 ¶ Forº ifº ye shall diligentlyºº keepººº allº theseº commandmentsº whichº Iº commandºº you, to doºº them, to loveººº Yahwehº your Elohim,º to walkººº in allº his ways,º and to cleaveºº unto him;

 11:23 then the Lord shall cast out all these nations before you, and ye shall inherit great nations and stronger than yourselves.

 11:23 Then will Yahwehº drive outººº allº theseº nationsº from beforeºº you, and ye shall possessºº greaterº nationsº and mightierº thanº yourselves.

 11:24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be your; from the wilderness and Antilibanus, and from the great river, the river Euphrates, even as far as the west sea shall be your coasts.

 11:24 Everyº placeº whereonº the solesº of your feetº shall treadºº shall beº yours: fromº the wildernessº and Lebanon,º fromº the river,º the riverº Euphrates,º even untoº the uttermostº seaº shall your coastº be.º

 11:25 No one shall stand before you; and the Lord your God will put the fear of you and the dread of you on the face of all the land, on which ye shall tread, as he told you.

 11:25 There shall noº manº be able to standºº beforeº you: [for] Yahwehº your Elohimº shall layºº the fearº of you and the dreadº of you uponºº allº the landº thatº ye shall treadºº upon, asº he hath saidºº unto you.

 11:26 ¶ Behold, I set before you this day the blessing and the curse;

 11:26 ¶ Behold,ºº Iº setºº beforeº you this dayº a blessingº and a curse;º

 11:27 the blessing, if ye hearken to the commands of the Lord your God, all that I command you this day;

 11:27 º A blessing,º ifº ye obeyººº the commandmentsº of Yahwehº your Elohim,º whichº Iº commandºº you this day:º

 11:28 and the curse, if ye do not hearken to the commands of the Lord our God, as many as I command you this day, and ye wander from the way which I have commanded you, having gone to serve other gods, which ye know not.

 11:28 And a curse,º ifº ye will notº obeyººº the commandmentsº of Yahwehº your Elohim,º but turn asideºº out ofº the wayº whichº Iº commandºº you this day,º to goººº afterº otherº elohim,º whichº ye have notº known.ºº

 11:29 And it shall come to pass when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land into which thou goest over to inherit it, then thou shalt put blessing on mount Garizin, and the curse upon mount Ebal{gr.Gaebal}.

 11:29 And it shall come to pass,º whenº Yahwehº thy Elohimº hath brought thee inºº untoº the landº whitherºº thouº goestºº to possessºº it, that thou shalt putººº the blessingº uponº mountº Gerizim,º and the curseº uponº mountº Ebal.º

 11:30 Lo! are not these beyond Jordan, behind, westward in the land of Canaan{gr.Chanaan}, which lies westward near Golgol, by the high oak?

 11:30 [Are] theyº notº on the other sideº Jordan,º byº the wayº where the sunº goeth down,º in the landº of the Canaanites,º which dwellºº in the champaignº over againstº Gilgal,º besideº the plainsº of Moreh?º

 11:31 For ye are passing over Jordan, to go in and inherit the land, which the Lord our God gives you to inherit always, and ye shall dwell in it.

 11:31 Forº yeº shall pass overººº Jordanº to go inºº to possessººº the landº whichº Yahwehº your Elohimº givethºº you, and ye shall possessºº it, and dwellºº therein.

 11:32 And ye shall take heed to do all his ordinances, and these judgments, as many as I set before you to-day.

 11:32 And ye shall observeºº to doººº allº the statutesº and judgmentsº whichº Iº setºº beforeº you this day.º
