 27:1 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and the elders of Israel commanded, saying, Keep all these commands, all that I command you this day.

 27:1 ¶ And Mosesº with the eldersº of Israelº commandedººº the people,º saying,ºº Keepººº allº the commandmentsº whichº Iº commandºº you this day.º

 27:2 And it shall come to pass in the day when ye shall cross over Jordan into the land which the Lord thy God gives thee, that thou shalt set up for thyself great stones, and shalt plaster them with plaster.

 27:2 And it shall beº on the dayº whenº ye shall pass overººº Jordanº untoº the landº whichº Yahwehº thy Elohimº givethºº thee, that thou shalt set thee upºº greatº stones,º and plaisterºº them with plaister:º

 27:3 And thou shalt write on these stones all the words of this law, as soon as ye have crossed Jordan, when ye are entered into the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers gives thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, according as the Lord God of thy fathers said to thee.

 27:3 And thou shalt writeºº uponº themº allº the wordsº of thisº law,º when thou art passed over,ºº thatºº thou mayest go inºº untoº the landº whichº Yahwehº thy Elohimº givethºº thee, a landº that flowethºº with milkº and honey;º asº Yahwehº Elohimº of thy fathersº hath promisedºº thee.

 27:4 And it shall be as soon as ye are gone over Jordan, ye shall set up these stones, which I command thee this day, on mount Ebal{gr.Gaebal}, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.

 27:4 Therefore it shall beº when ye be gone overººº Jordan,º [that] ye shall set upººº theseº stones,º whichº Iº commandºº you this day,º in mountº Ebal,º and thou shalt plaisterºº them with plaister.ººº

 27:5 And thou shalt build there an altar to the Lord thy God, an altar of stones; thou shalt not lift up iron upon it.

 27:5 And thereº shalt thou buildºº an altarº unto Yahwehº thy Elohim,º an altarº of stones:º thou shalt notº lift upºº [any] ironº [tool] uponº them.

 27:6 Of whole stones shalt thou build an altar to the Lord thy God, and thou shalt offer upon it whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord thy God.

 27:6 Thou shalt buildººº the altarº of Yahwehº thy Elohimº of wholeº stones:º and thou shalt offerºº burnt offeringsº thereonº unto Yahwehº thy Elohim:º

 27:7 And thou shalt there offer a peace-offering; and thou shalt eat and be filled, and rejoice before the Lord thy God.

 27:7 And thou shalt offerºº peace offerings,º and shalt eatºº there,º and rejoiceºº beforeº Yahwehº thy Elohim.º

 27:8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all this law very plainly.

 27:8 And thou shalt writeºº uponº the stonesºº allº the wordsº of thisº lawº veryºº plainly.ººº

 27:9 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, Be silent and hear, O Israel; this day thou art become a people to the Lord thy God.

 27:9 ¶ And Mosesº and the priestsº the Levitesº spakeºº untoº allº Israel,º saying,ºº Take heed,ºº and hearken,ºº O Israel;º thisº dayº thou art becomeºº the peopleº of Yahwehº thy Elohim.º

 27:10 And thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and shalt do all his commands, and his ordinances, as many as I command thee this day.

 27:10 Thou shalt therefore obeyºº the voiceº of Yahwehº thy Elohim,º and doººº his commandmentsº and his statutes,º whichº Iº commandºº thee this day.º

 27:11 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} charged the people on that day, saying,

 27:11 ¶ And Mosesº chargedººº the peopleº the sameº day,º saying,ºº

 27:12 These shall stand to bless the people on mount Garizin having gone over Jordan; Simeon{gr.Symeon}, Levi, Judah{gr.Judas}, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.

 27:12 Theseº shall standºº uponº mountº Gerizimº to blessººº the people,º when ye are come overººº Jordan;º Simeon,º and Levi,º and Judah,º and Issachar,º and Joseph,º and Benjamin:º

 27:13 And these shall stand for cursing on mount Ebal{gr.Gaebal}; Reuben{gr.Ruben}, Gad, and Asher{gr.Aser}, Zebulun{gr.Zabulon}, Dan, and Naphtali{gr.Nephthali}.

 27:13 And theseº shall standºº upon mountº Ebalº toº curse;º Reuben,º Gad,º and Asher,º and Zebulun,º Dan,º and Naphtali.º

 27:14 ¶ And the Levites shall answer and say to all Israel with a loud voice,

 27:14 ¶ And the Levitesº shall speak,ºº and sayºº untoº allº the menº of Israelº with a loudºº voice,º

 27:15 Cursed [is] the man whosoever shall make a graven or molten image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of craftsmen, and shall put it in a secret place: and all the people shall answer and say, So be it.

 27:15 Cursedºº [be] the manº thatº makethºº [any] gravenº or molten image,º an abominationº unto Yahweh,º the workº of the handsº of the craftsman,º and puttethºº [it] in [a] secretº [place]. And allº the peopleº shall answerºº and say,ºº Amen.º

 27:16 Cursed is the man that dishonours his father or his mother: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:16 Cursedºº [be] he that setteth lightºº by his fatherº or his mother.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:17 Cursed is he that removes his neighbour's landmarks: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:17 Cursedºº [be] he that removethºº his neighbour'sº landmark.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:18 Cursed is he that makes the blind to wander in the way: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:18 Cursedºº [be] he that maketh the blindº to wanderºº out of the way.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:19 Cursed is every one that shall pervert the judgment of the stranger, and orphan, and widow: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:19 Cursedºº [be] he that pervertethºº the judgmentº of the stranger,º fatherless,º and widow.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:20 Cursed is he that lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:20 Cursedºº [be] he that liethºº withº his father'sº wife;º becauseº he uncoverethºº his father'sº skirt.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:21 Cursed is he that lies with any beast: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:21 Cursedºº [be] he that liethºº withº any mannerº of beast.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:22 Cursed is he that lies with his sister by his father or his mother: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:22 Cursedºº [be] he that liethºº withº his sister,º the daughterº of his father,º orº the daughterº of his mother.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:23 Cursed is he that lies with his daughter-in-law: and all the people shall say, So be it. Cursed is he that lies with his wife's sister: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:23 Cursedºº [be] he that liethºº withº his mother in law.ºº And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:24 Cursed is he that smites his neighbour secretly: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:24 Cursedºº [be] he that smitethºº his neighbourº secretly.º And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:25 Cursed is he whosoever shall have taken a bribe to slay an innocent man: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:25 Cursedºº [be] he that takethºº rewardº to slayºº an innocentº person.ºº And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º

 27:26 Cursed is every man that continues not in all the words of this law to do them: and all the people shall say, So be it.

 27:26 Cursedºº [be] he thatº confirmethºº notº [all]º the wordsº of thisº lawº to doºº them. And allº the peopleº shall say,ºº Amen.º
