 2:1 ¶ And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron, saying,

 2:1 ¶ And Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Mosesº and untoº Aaron,º saying,ºº

 2:2 Let the children of Israel encamp fronting [each other], every man keeping his own rank, according to [their] standards, according to the houses of their families; the children of Israel shall encamp round about the tabernacle of witness.

 2:2 Every manº of the childrenº of Israelº shall pitchºº byº his own standard,º with the ensignº of their father'sº house:º far offºº aboutº the tabernacleº of the congregationº shall they pitch.ºº

 2:3 And they that encamp first toward the east [shall be] the order of the camp of Judah{gr.Juda} with their host, and the prince of the sons of Judah{gr.Juda}, Nahshon{gr.Naasson} the son of Amminadab{gr.Aminadab}.

 2:3 And on the east sideº toward the risingº of the sunº shall they of the standardº of the campº of Judahº pitchºº throughout their armies:º and Nahshonº the sonº of Amminadabº [shall be] captainº of the childrenº of Judah.º

 2:4 His forces that were numbered, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.

 2:4 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] threescore and fourteenºº thousandº and sixº hundred.º

 2:5 And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Issachar, and the prince of the sons of Issachar [shall be] Nethaneel{gr.Nathanael} the son of Zuar{gr.Sogar}.

 2:5 And those that do pitchºº next untoº him [shall be] the tribeº of Issachar:º and Nethaneelº the sonº of Zuarº [shall be] captainº of the childrenº of Issachar.º

 2:6 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.

 2:6 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº thereof, [were] fiftyº and fourº thousandº and fourº hundred.º

 2:7 And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Zebulun{gr.Zabulon}, and the prince of the sons of Zebulun{gr.Zabulon} [shall be] Aholiab{gr.Eliab} the son of Chaelon.

 2:7 [Then] the tribeº of Zebulun:º and Eliabº the sonº of Helonº [shall be] captainº of the childrenº of Zebulun.º

 2:8 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.

 2:8 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº thereof, [were] fiftyº and sevenº thousandº and fourº hundred.º

 2:9 All that were numbered of the camp of Judah{gr.Juda} were a hundred and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred: they shall move first with their forces.

 2:9 Allº that were numberedºº in the campº of Judahº [were] an hundredº thousandº and fourscoreº thousandº and sixº thousandº and fourº hundred,º throughout their armies.º These shall firstº set forth.ºº

 2:10 ¶ [This is] the order of the camp of Reuben{gr.Ruben}; their forces [shall be] toward the south, and the prince of the children of Reuben{gr.Ruben} [shall be] Elisur the son of Sediur.

 2:10 ¶ On the south sideº [shall be] the standardº of the campº of Reubenº according to their armies:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Reubenº [shall be] Elizurº the sonº of Shedeur.º

 2:11 His forces that were numbered, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.

 2:11 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº thereof, [were] fortyº and sixº thousandº and fiveº hundred.º

 2:12 And they that encamp next to him [shall be] of the tribe of Simeon{gr.Symeon}, and the prince of the sons of Simeon{gr.Symeon} [shall be] Salamiel the son of Surisadai.

 2:12 And those which pitchºº byº him [shall be] the tribeº of Simeon:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Simeonº [shall be] Shelumielº the sonº of Zurishaddai.º

 2:13 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.

 2:13 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] fiftyº and nineº thousandº and threeº hundred.º

 2:14 And they that encamp next to them [shall be] the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad, Eliasaph{gr.Elisaph} the son of Reuel{gr.Raguel}.

 2:14 Then the tribeº of Gad:º and the captainº of the sonsº of Gadº [shall be] Eliasaphº the sonº of Reuel.º

 2:15 His forces that were numbered, were forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

 2:15 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] fortyº and fiveº thousandº and sixº hundredº and fifty.º

 2:16 All who were numbered of the camp of Reuben{gr.Ruben}, were a hundred and fifty-one thousand and four hundred and fifty: they with their forces shall proceed in the second place.

 2:16 Allº that were numberedºº in the campº of Reubenº [were] an hundredº thousandº and fiftyº and oneº thousandº and fourº hundredº and fifty,º throughout their armies.º And they shall set forthºº in the secondº rank.º

 2:17 ¶ And [then] the tabernacle of witness shall be set forward, and the camp of the Levites [shall be] between the camps; as they shall encamp, so also shall they commence their march, each one next in order to his fellow according to their companies.

 2:17 ¶ Then the tabernacleº of the congregationº shall set forwardºº with the campº of the Levitesº in the midstº of the camp:º asº they encamp,ºº soº shall they set forward,ºº every manº inº his placeº by their standards.º

 2:18 ¶ The station of the camp of Ephraim [shall be] westward with their forces, and the head of the children of Ephraim [shall be] Elishama{gr.Elisama} the son of Emiud.

 2:18 ¶ On the west sideº [shall be] the standardº of the campº of Ephraimº according to their armies:º and the captainº of the sonsº of Ephraimº [shall be] Elishamaº the sonº of Ammihud.º

 2:19 His forces that were numbered, are forty thousand and five hundred.

 2:19 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] fortyº thousandº and fiveº hundred.º

 2:20 And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, and the prince of the sons of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.

 2:20 And byº him [shall be] the tribeº of Manasseh:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Manassehº [shall be] Gamalielº the sonº of Pedahzur.º

 2:21 His forces that were numbered, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.

 2:21 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] thirtyº and twoº thousandº and two hundred.º

 2:22 And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Benjamin, and the prince of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gadeoni.

 2:22 Then the tribeº of Benjamin:º and the captainº of the sonsº of Benjaminº [shall be] Abidanº the sonº of Gideoni.º

 2:23 His forces that were numbered, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.

 2:23 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] thirtyº and fiveº thousandº and fourº hundred.º

 2:24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim, were one hundred and eight thousand and one hundred: they with their forces shall set out third.

 2:24 Allº that were numberedºº of the campº of Ephraimº [were] an hundredº thousandº and eightº thousandº and an hundred,º throughout their armies.º And they shall go forwardºº in the thirdº rank.º

 2:25 ¶ The order of the camp of Dan [shall be] northward with their forces; and the prince of the sons of Dan, Ahiezer{gr.Achiezer} the son of Amisadai.

 2:25 ¶ The standardº of the campº of Danº [shall be] on the north sideº by their armies:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Danº [shall be] Ahiezerº the sonº of Ammishaddai.º

 2:26 His forces that were numbered, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.

 2:26 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] threescoreº and twoº thousandº and sevenº hundred.º

 2:27 And they that encamp next to him [shall be] the tribe of Asher{gr.Aser}; and the prince of the sons of Asher{gr.Aser}, Phagiel the son of Echran.

 2:27 And those that encampºº byº him [shall be] the tribeº of Asher:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Asherº [shall be] Pagielº the sonº of Ocran.º

 2:28 His forces that were numbered, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.

 2:28 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] fortyº and oneº thousandº and fiveº hundred.º

 2:29 ¶ And they that encamp next [shall be] of the tribe of Naphtali{gr.Nephthali}; and the prince of the children of Naphtali{gr.Nephthali}, Achire son Enan{gr.Aenan}.

 2:29 ¶ Then the tribeº of Naphtali:º and the captainº of the childrenº of Naphtaliº [shall be] Ahiraº the sonº of Enan.º

 2:30 His forces that were numbered were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.

 2:30 And his host,º and those that were numberedºº of them, [were] fiftyº and threeº thousandº and fourº hundred.º

 2:31 All that were numbered of the camp of Dan, [were] a hundred and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred: they shall set out last according to their order.

 2:31 Allº they that were numberedºº in the campº of Danº [were] an hundredº thousandº and fiftyº and sevenº thousandº and sixº hundred.º They shall goºº hindmostº with their standards.º

 2:32 ¶ This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel according to the houses of their families: all the numbering of the camps with their forces, [was] six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty.

 2:32 ¶ Theseº [are] those which were numberedºº of the childrenº of Israelº by the houseº of their fathers:º allº those that were numberedºº of the campsº throughout their hostsº [were] sixº hundredº thousandº and threeº thousandº and fiveº hundredº and fifty.º

 2:33 But the Levites were not numbered with them, as the Lord commanded Mosheh{gr.Moses}.

 2:33 But the Levitesº were notº numberedºº amongº the childrenº of Israel;º asº Yahwehº commandedººº Moses.º

 2:34 And the children of Israel did all things that the Lord commanded Mosheh{gr.Moses}; thus they encamped in their order, and thus they began their march in succession each according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families.

 2:34 And the childrenº of Israelº didºº according to allº thatº Yahwehº commandedººº Moses:º soº they pitchedºº by their standards,º and soº they set forward,ºº every oneº after their families,º according toº the houseº of their fathers.º
