 30:1 ¶
And Mosheh{gr.Moses} spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This [is] the thing which the Lord has commanded. |
|
 30:1 ¶
And Mosesº
spakeºº
untoº
the headsº
of the tribesº
concerning the childrenº
of Israel,º
saying,ºº
Thisº
[is] the thingº
whichº
Yahwehº
hath commanded.ºº |
 30:2
Whatsoever man shall vow a vow to the Lord, or swear an oath, or bind himself with an obligation upon his soul, he shall not break his word; all that shall come out of his mouth he shall do. |
|
 30:2
Ifº
a manº
vowºº
a vowº
unto Yahweh,º
orº
swearºº
an oathº
to bindººº
his soulº
with a bond;º
he shall notº
breakºº
his word,º
he shall doºº
according to allº
that proceedethºº
outº
of his mouth.ºº |
 30:3
And if a woman shall vow a vow to the Lord, or bind herself with an obligation in her youth in her father's house; and her father should hear her vows and her obligations, wherewith she has bound her soul, and her father should hold his peace at her, then all her vows shall stand, |
|
 30:3
Ifº
a womanº
also vowºº
a vowº
unto Yahweh,º
and bindºº
herself by a bond,º
[being] in her father'sº
houseº
in her youth;º |
 30:4
and all the obligations with which she has bound her soul, shall remain to her. |
|
 30:4
And her fatherº
hearººº
her vow,º
and her bondº
wherewithº
she hath boundººº
her soul,º
and her fatherº
shall hold his peaceºº
at her: then allº
her vowsº
shall stand,ºº
and everyº
bondº
wherewithº
she hath boundººº
her soulº
shall stand.ºº |
 30:5
But if her father straitly forbid [her] in the day in which he shall hear all her vows and her obligations, which she has contracted upon her soul, they shall not stand; and the Lord shall hold her guiltless, because her father forbade her. |
|
 30:5
But ifº
her fatherº
disallowºº
her in the dayº
that he heareth;ºº
notº
anyº
of her vows,º
or of her bondsº
wherewithº
she hath boundººº
her soul,º
shall stand:ºº
and Yahwehº
shall forgiveºº
her, becauseº
her fatherº
disallowedºº
her. |
 30:6
But if she should be indeed married, and her vows be upon her according to the utterance of her lips, in respect of [the obligations] which she has contracted upon her soul; |
|
 30:6
And ifº
she had at allº
an husband,º
when she vowed,ºº
orº
utteredº
ought out of her lips,º
wherewithº
she boundººº
her soul;º |
 30:7
and her husband should hear, and hold his peace at her in the day in which he should hear, then thus shall all her vows be binding, and her obligations, which she has contracted upon her soul shall stand. |
|
 30:7
And her husbandº
heardºº
[it], and held his peaceºº
at her in the dayº
that he heardºº
[it]: then her vowsº
shall stand,ºº
and her bondsº
wherewithº
she boundººº
her soulº
shall stand.ºº |
 30:8
But if her husband should straitly forbid [her] in the day in which he should hear her, none of her vows or obligations which she has contracted upon her soul shall stand, because her husband has disallowed her, and the Lord shall hold her guiltless. |
|
 30:8
But ifº
her husbandº
disallowedºº
her on the dayº
that he heardºº
[it]; then he shall makeº
her vowº
which she vowed,ººº
and that which she utteredº
with her lips,º
wherewithº
she boundººº
her soul,º
of none effect:ºº
and Yahwehº
shall forgiveºº
her. |
 30:9
And the vow of a widow and of her that is put away, whatsoever she shall bind upon her soul, shall stand to her. |
|
 30:9
But everyº
vowº
of a widow,º
and of her that is divorced,ºº
wherewithº
they have boundººº
their souls,º
shall standºº
againstº
her. |
 30:10
And if her vow [be made] in the house of her husband, or the obligation upon her soul with an oath, |
|
 30:10
And ifº
she vowedºº
in her husband'sº
house,º
orº
boundººº
her soulº
by a bondº
with an oath;º |
 30:11
and her husband should hear, and hold his peace at her, and not disallow her, then all her vows shall stand, and all the obligations which she contracted against her soul, shall stand against her. |
|
 30:11
And her husbandº
heardºº
[it], and held his peaceºº
at her, [and] disallowedºº
her not:º
then allº
her vowsº
shall stand,ºº
and everyº
bondº
wherewithº
she boundººº
her soulº
shall stand.ºº |
 30:12
But if her husband should utterly cancel the vow in the day in which he shall hear it, none of the things which shall proceed out of her lips in her vows, and in the obligations [contracted] upon her soul, shall stand to her; her husband has cancelled them, and the Lord shall hold her guiltless. |
|
 30:12
But ifº
her husbandº
hath utterlyºº
made them voidººº
on the dayº
he heardºº
[them; then] whatsoeverº
proceededº
outº
of her lipsº
concerning her vows,º
or concerning the bondº
of her soul,º
shall notº
stand:ºº
her husbandº
hath made them void;ºº
and Yahwehº
shall forgiveºº
her. |
 30:13
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict her soul, her husband shall confirm it to her, or her husband shall cancel it. |
|
 30:13
Everyº
vow,º
and everyº
bindingº
oathº
to afflictºº
the soul,º
her husbandº
may establishºº
it, or her husbandº
may make it void.ºº |
 30:14
But if he be wholly silent at her from day to day, then shall he bind upon her all her vows; and he shall confirm to her the obligations [which she has bound] upon herself, because he held his peace at her in the day in which he heard her. |
|
 30:14
But ifº
her husbandº
altogetherºº
hold his peaceºº
at her from dayºº
toº
day;º
then he establishethººº
allº
her vows,º
orºº
allº
her bonds,º
whichº
[are] uponº
her: he confirmethºº
them, becauseº
he held his peaceºº
at her in the dayº
that he heardºº
[them]. |
 30:15
And if her husband should in any wise cancel [them] after the day in which he heard [them], then he shall bear his iniquity. |
|
 30:15
But ifº
he shall any waysºº
make them voidººº
afterº
thatº
he hath heardºº
[them]; then he shall bearººº
her iniquity.º |
 30:16
These [are] the ordinances which the Lord commanded Mosheh{gr.Moses}, between a man and his wife, and between a father and daughter in [her] youth in the house of [her] father. |
|
 30:16
Theseº
[are] the statutes,º
whichº
Yahwehº
commandedººº
Moses,º
betweenº
a manº
and his wife,º
betweenº
the fatherº
and his daughter,º
[being yet] in her youthº
in her father'sº
house.º |
