 6:1 ¶ Then Yähwè יָהוֶהº saidºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º Nowº shalt thou seeºº whatº I will doºº to Par`ò פַּרעֹה:º forº with a strongº handº shall he let them go,ºº and with a strongº handº shall he drive them outºº of his land.ºº

 6:1 ¶ Then Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Paroh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

 6:2 And ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º and saidºº untoº him, Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה:º

 6:2 And Elohim spake unto Mosheh, and said unto him, I [am] Yahweh:

 6:3 And I appearedºº untoº ´Avrähäm אַברָהָם,º untoº Yixçäk יִצחָק,º and untoº Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב,º by [the name of] ´Ël אֵלº Šadday שַׁדַּי,º but by my nameº YÄHWÈ יָהוֶהº was I notº knownºº to them.

 6:3 And I appeared unto Avraham, unto Yitzchaq, and unto Yaaqov, by [the name of] El Shadday, but by my name YAHWEH was I not known to them.

 6:4 And I have alsoº establishedººº my covenantº withº them, to giveºº themº the landº of Cænä`an כְּנָעַן,ºº the landº of their pilgrimage,º whereinº they were strangers.ºº

 6:4 And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Kenaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.

 6:5 And Iº have alsoº heardººº the groaningº of the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,º whomºº the Mixrîm מִצרִיםº keep in bondage;ºº and I have rememberedººº my covenant.º

 6:5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yisrael, whom the Mitzrim keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

 6:6 Whereforeº sayºº unto the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,º Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה,º and I will bringºº you outºº from underºº the burdensº of the Mixrîm מִצרִים,º and I will ridºº you out of their bondage,ºº and I will redeemºº you with a stretchedºº outº arm,º and with greatº judgments:º

 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Yisrael, I [am] Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitzrim, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

 6:7 And I will takeºº you to me for a people,º and I will beº to you an ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים:º and ye shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶהº your ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,º which bringethºº you outºº from underºº the burdensº of the Mixrîm מִצרִים.º

 6:7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you an Elohim: and ye shall know that I [am] Yahweh your Elohim, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Mitzrim.

 6:8 And I will bringºº you inºº untoº the land,º concerning the whichº I did swearºººº to giveºº it to ´Avrähäm אַברָהָם,º to Yixçäk יִצחָק,º and to Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב;º and I will giveºº it you for an heritage:º Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה.º

 6:8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Avraham, to Yitzchaq, and to Yaaqov; and I will give it you for an heritage: I [am] Yahweh.

 6:9 ¶ And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº spakeºº soº untoº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל:º but they hearkenedºº notº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁהº for anguishºº of spirit,º and for cruelº bondage.ººº

 6:9 ¶ And Mosheh spake so unto the children of Yisrael: but they hearkened not unto Mosheh for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

 6:10 And Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º saying,ºº

 6:10 And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh, saying,

 6:11 Goºº in,º speakºº untoº Par`ò פַּרעֹהº kingº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,º that he letº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלº goº outºº of his land.ºº

 6:11 Go in, speak unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim, that he let the children of Yisrael go out of his land.

 6:12 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº spakeºº beforeº Yähwè יָהוֶה,º saying,ºº Behold,º the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלº have notº hearkenedºº untoº me; howº then shall Par`ò פַּרעֹהº hearºº me,º whoº [am] of uncircumcisedº lips?º

 6:12 And Mosheh spake before Yahweh, saying, Behold, the children of Yisrael have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Paroh hear me, who [am] of uncircumcised lips?

 6:13 And Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁהº and untoº ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן,º and gave them a chargeºº untoº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,º and untoº Par`ò פַּרעֹהº kingº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,º to bringººº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלº out of the landºº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 6:13 And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, and gave them a charge unto the children of Yisrael, and unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim, to bring the children of Yisrael out of the land of Mitzrayim.

 6:14 ¶ Theseº [be] the headsº of their fathers'º houses:º The sonsº of Ræ´ûvën רְאוּבֵןº the firstbornº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל;º Çánö¢ חֲנֹך,º and Pallû´ פַּלּוּא,º Çexrôn חֶצרוֹן,º and Carmî כַּרמִי:º theseº [be] the familiesº of Ræ´ûvën רְאוּבֵן.º

 6:14 ¶ These [be] the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuven the firstborn of Yisrael; Chanokh, and Pallu, Chetzron, and Karmi: these [be] the families of Reuven.

 6:15 And the sonsº of Šim`ôn שִׁמעוֹן;º Yæmû´ël יְמוּאֵל,º and Yämîn יָמִין,º and ´Öhað אֹהַד,º and Yä¢în יָכִין,º and Xöçar צֹחַר,º and Šä´ûl שָׁאוּלº the sonº of a Cæna`ánî± כְּנַעֲנִית woman:º theseº [are] the familiesº of Šim`ôn שִׁמעוֹן.º

 6:15 And the sons of Shimon; Yemuel, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yakhin, and Tzochar, and Shaul the son of a Kenaanith woman: these [are] the families of Shimon.

 6:16 ¶ And theseº [are] the namesº of the sonsº of Lëwî לֵוִיº according to their generations;º Gëršôn גֵּרשׁוֹן,º and Kæhä± קְהָת,º and Mærärî מְרָרִי:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of Lëwî לֵוִיº [were] an hundredº thirtyº and sevenº years.º

 6:16 ¶ And these [are] the names of the sons of Lewi according to their generations; Gershon, and Qehath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Lewi [were] an hundred thirty and seven years.

 6:17 The sonsº of Gëršôn גֵּרשׁוֹן;º Livnî לִבנִי,º and Šim`î שִׁמעִי,º according to their families.º

 6:17 The sons of Gershon; Livni, and Shimi, according to their families.

 6:18 And the sonsº of Kæhä± קְהָת;º `Amräm עַמרָם,º and Yixhär יִצהָר,º and Çevrôn חֶברוֹן,º and `Uzzî´ël עֻזִּיאֵל:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of Kæhä± קְהָתº [were] an hundredº thirtyº and threeº years.º

 6:18 And the sons of Qehath; Amram, and Yitzhar, and Chevron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Qehath [were] an hundred thirty and three years.

 6:19 And the sonsº of Mærärî מְרָרִי;º Maçlî מַחלִיº and Mûšî מוּשִׁי:º theseº [are] the familiesº of Lëwî לֵוִיº according to their generations.º

 6:19 And the sons of Merari; Machli and Mushi: these [are] the families of Lewi according to their generations.

 6:20 And `Amräm עַמרָםº tookºº himº Yô¢eveð יוֹכֶבֶדº his father's sisterº to wife;º and she bareºº himº ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº and Möšè מֹשֶׁה:º and the yearsº of the lifeº of `Amräm עַמרָםº [were] an hundredº and thirtyº and sevenº years.º

 6:20 And Amram took him Yokheved his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aharon and Mosheh: and the years of the life of Amram [were] an hundred and thirty and seven years.

 6:21 ¶ And the sonsº of Yixhär יִצהָר;º Köraç קֹרַח,º and Nefeq נֶפֶג,º and Zi¢rî זִכרִי.º

 6:21 ¶ And the sons of Yitzhar; Qorach, and Nefeg, and Zikhri.

 6:22 And the sonsº of `Uzzî´ël עֻזִּיאֵל;º Mîšä´ël מִישָׁאֵל,º and ´Elxäfän אֶלצָפָן,º and Si±rî סִתרִי.º

 6:22 And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Eltzafan, and Sithri.

 6:23 And ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº tookºº himº ´Élîševa` אֱלִישֶׁבַע,º daughterº of `Ammînäðäv עַמִּינָדָב,º sisterº of Naçšôn נַחשׁוֹן,º to wife;º and she bareºº himº Näðäv נָדָב,º and ´Ávîhû´ אֲבִיהוּא,ºº ´El`äzär אֶלעָזָר,º and ´Î±ämär אִיתָמָר.º

 6:23 And Aharon took him Elisheva, daughter of Amminadav, sister of Nachshon, to wife; and she bare him Nadav, and Avihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.

 6:24 And the sonsº of Köraç קֹרַח;º ´Assîr אַסִּיר,º and ´Elkänà אֶלקָנָה,º and ´Ávî´äsäf אֲבִיאָסָף:º theseº [are] the familiesº of the Korçîm קָרחִים.º

 6:24 And the sons of Qorach; Assir, and Elqanah, and Aviasaf: these [are] the families of the Qorchim.

 6:25 And ´El`äzär אֶלעָזָרº ´Ahárön's אַהֲרֹןº sonº tookºº him [one] of the daughtersºº of Pû+î´ël פּוּטִיאֵלº to wife;º and she bareºº himº Pînçäs פִּינחָס:º theseº [are] the headsº of the fathersº of the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּםº according to their families.º

 6:25 And Elazar Aharon's son took him [one] of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Pinchas: these [are] the heads of the fathers of the Lewiyyim according to their families.

 6:26 Theseº [are] that ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº and Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º to whomº Yähwè יָהוֶהº said,ºº Bring outººº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלº from the landºº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִםº according toº their armies.º

 6:26 These [are] that Aharon and Mosheh, to whom Yahweh said, Bring out the children of Yisrael from the land of Mitzrayim according to their armies.

 6:27 Theseº [are] they which spakeºº toº Par`ò פַּרעֹהº kingº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,º to bring outººº the childrenº of Yi$rä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלº from Mixrayim מִצרַיִם:ºº these [are] thatº Möšè מֹשֶׁהº and ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן.º

 6:27 These [are] they which spake to Paroh king of Mitzrayim, to bring out the children of Yisrael from Mitzrayim: these [are] that Mosheh and Aharon.

 6:28 ¶ And it came to passº on the dayº [when] Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁהº in the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,º

 6:28 ¶ And it came to pass on the day [when] Yahweh spake unto Mosheh in the land of Mitzrayim,

 6:29 That Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º saying,ºº Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה:º speakºº thou untoº Par`ò פַּרעֹהº kingº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִםºº allº thatº Iº sayºº untoº thee.

 6:29 That Yahweh spake unto Mosheh, saying, I [am] Yahweh: speak thou unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim all that I say unto thee.

 6:30 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº saidºº beforeº Yähwè יָהוֶה,º Behold,º Iº [am] of uncircumcisedº lips,º and howº shall Par`ò פַּרעֹהº hearkenºº untoº me?

 6:30 And Mosheh said before Yahweh, Behold, I [am] of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Paroh hearken unto me?
