 8:1 ¶ And Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º Goºº untoº Par`ò פַּרעֹה,º and sayºº untoº him, Thusº saithºº Yähwè יָהוֶה,º Letº my peopleº go,ºº that they may serveºº me.

 8:1 ¶ And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh, Go unto Paroh, and say unto him, Thus saith Yahweh, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

 8:2 And ifº thouº refuseº to let [them] go,ºº behold,º Iº will smiteººº allº thy bordersº with frogs:º

 8:2 And if thou refuse to let [them] go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

 8:3 And the riverº shall bring forthºº frogsº abundantly,ººº which shall go upºº and comeºº into thine house,º and into thy bedchamber,ºº and uponº thy bed,º and into the houseº of thy servants,º and upon thy people,º and into thine ovens,º and into thy kneadingtroughs:º

 8:3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:

 8:4 And the frogsº shall come upºº both on thee, and upon thy people,º and upon allº thy servants.º

 8:4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.

 8:5 ¶ And Yähwè יָהוֶהº spakeºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º Sayºº untoº ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן,º Stretch forthººº thine handº with thy rodº overº the streams,º overº the rivers,º and overº the ponds,º and causeº frogsº to come upºº uponº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 8:5 ¶ And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh, Say unto Aharon, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Mitzrayim.

 8:6 And ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº stretched outººº his handº overº the watersº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם;º and the frogsº came up,ºº and coveredººº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 8:6 And Aharon stretched out his hand over the waters of Mitzrayim; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Mitzrayim.

 8:7 And the magiciansº didºº soº with their enchantments,º and brought upººº frogsº uponº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 8:7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Mitzrayim.

 8:8 ¶ Then Par`ò פַּרעֹהº calledºº for Möšè מֹשֶׁהº and ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן,º and said,ºº Intreatººº Yähwè יָהוֶה,º that he may take awayºº the frogsº fromº me, and from my people;ºº and I will letº the peopleº go,ºº that they may do sacrificeºº unto Yähwè יָהוֶה.º

 8:8 ¶ Then Paroh called for Mosheh and Aharon, and said, Intreat Yahweh, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto Yahweh.

 8:9 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº saidºº unto Par`ò פַּרעֹה,º Gloryºº overº me: whenº shall I intreatºº for thee, and for thy servants,º and for thy people,º to destroyºº the frogsº fromº thee and thy houses,ºº [that] they may remainºº in the riverº only?º

 8:9 And Mosheh said unto Paroh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, [that] they may remain in the river only?

 8:10 And he said,ºº To morrow.º And he said,ºº [Be it] according to thy word:º thatº thou mayest knowºº thatº [there is] noneº like unto Yähwè יָהוֶהº our ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים.º

 8:10 And he said, To morrow. And he said, [Be it] according to thy word: that thou mayest know that [there is] none like unto Yahweh our Elohim.

 8:11 And the frogsº shall departºº fromº thee, and from thy houses,ºº and from thy servants,ºº and from thy people;ºº they shall remainºº in the riverº only.º

 8:11 And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.

 8:12 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº and ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº went outºº fromºº Par`ò פַּרעֹה:º and Möšè מֹשֶׁהº criedºº untoº Yähwè יָהוֶהº because ofºº the frogsº whichº he had broughtºº against Par`ò פַּרעֹה.º

 8:12 And Mosheh and Aharon went out from Paroh: and Mosheh cried unto Yahweh because of the frogs which he had brought against Paroh.

 8:13 And Yähwè יָהוֶהº didºº according to the wordº of Möšè מֹשֶׁה;º and the frogsº diedºº out ofº the houses,º out ofº the villages,º and out ofº the fields.º

 8:13 And Yahweh did according to the word of Mosheh; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.

 8:14 And they gathered them togetherººº upon heaps:º and the landº stank.ºº

 8:14 And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.

 8:15 But when Par`ò פַּרעֹהº sawºº thatº there wasº respite,º he hardenedººº his heart,º and hearkenedºº notº untoº them; asº Yähwè יָהוֶהº had said.ºº

 8:15 But when Paroh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as Yahweh had said.

 8:16 ¶ And Yähwè יָהוֶהº saidºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º Sayºº untoº ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן,º Stretch outººº thy rod,º and smiteººº the dustº of the land,º that it may becomeº liceº throughout allº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 8:16 ¶ And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Say unto Aharon, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

 8:17 And they didºº so;º for ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹןº stretched outººº his handº with his rod,º and smoteººº the dustº of the earth,º and it becameº liceº in man,º and in beast;º allº the dustº of the landº becameº liceº throughout allº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם.º

 8:17 And they did so; for Aharon stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

 8:18 And the magiciansº didºº soº with their enchantmentsº to bring forthººº lice,º but they couldºº not:º so there wereº liceº upon man,º and upon beast.º

 8:18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

 8:19 Then the magiciansº saidºº untoº Par`ò פַּרעֹה,º Thisº [is] the fingerº of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים:º and Par`ò's פַּרעֹהº heartº was hardened,ºº and he hearkenedºº notº untoº them; asº Yähwè יָהוֶהº had said.ºº

 8:19 Then the magicians said unto Paroh, This [is] the finger of Elohim: and Paroh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Yahweh had said.

 8:20 ¶ And Yähwè יָהוֶהº saidºº untoº Möšè מֹשֶׁה,º Rise up earlyºº in the morning,º and standºº beforeº Par`ò פַּרעֹה;º lo,º he cometh forthºº to the water;º and sayºº untoº him, Thusº saithºº Yähwè יָהוֶה,º Let my peopleº go,ºº that they may serveºº me.

 8:20 ¶ And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Paroh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith Yahweh, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

 8:21 Else,º ifº thou wilt notº letº my peopleº go,ºº behold,º I will sendººº swarmsº [of flies] upon thee, and upon thy servants,º and upon thy people,º and into thy houses:º and the housesº of the Mixrîm מִצרִיםº shall be fullºº ofº swarmsº [of flies], and alsoº the groundº whereonºº theyº [are].

 8:21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms [of flies] upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Mitzrim shall be full of swarms [of flies], and also the ground whereon they [are].

 8:22 And I will severºº in thatº dayºº the landº of Göšen גֹּשֶׁן,º inº whichº my peopleº dwell,ºº that noº swarmsº [of flies] shall beºº there;º to the endº thou mayest knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yähwè יָהוֶהº in the midstº of the earth.º

 8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms [of flies] shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I [am] Yahweh in the midst of the earth.

 8:23 And I will putºº a divisionº betweenº my peopleº and thy people:º to morrowº shall thisº signº be.º

 8:23 And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.

 8:24 And Yähwè יָהוֶהº didºº so;º and there cameºº a grievousº swarmº [of flies] into the houseº of Par`ò פַּרעֹה,º and [into] his servants'º houses,º and into allº the landº of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם:º the landº was corruptedºº by reasonº ofºº the swarmº [of flies].

 8:24 And Yahweh did so; and there came a grievous swarm [of flies] into the house of Paroh, and [into] his servants' houses, and into all the land of Mitzrayim: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm [of flies].

 8:25 ¶ And Par`ò פַּרעֹהº calledºº forº Möšè מֹשֶׁהº and for ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן,º and said,ºº Goººº ye, sacrificeºº to your ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםº in the land.º

 8:25 ¶ And Paroh called for Mosheh and for Aharon, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your Elohim in the land.

 8:26 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº said,ºº It is notº meetºº soº to do;ºº forºº we shall sacrificeºº the abominationº of the Mixrîm מִצרִיםº to Yähwè יָהוֶהº our ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים:º lo,º shall we sacrificeººº the abominationº of the Mixrîm מִצרִיםº before their eyes,º and will they notº stoneºº us?

 8:26 And Mosheh said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Mitzrim to Yahweh our Elohim: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Mitzrim before their eyes, and will they not stone us?

 8:27 We will goººº threeº days'º journeyº into the wilderness,º and sacrificeºº to Yähwè יָהוֶהº our ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,º asº he shall commandººº us.

 8:27 We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our Elohim, as he shall command us.

 8:28 And Par`ò פַּרעֹהº said,ºº Iº will let you go,ºº that ye may sacrificeºº to Yähwè יָהוֶהº your ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםº in the wilderness;º onlyº ye shall notº goººº veryºº far away:ºº intreatºº forº me.º

 8:28 And Paroh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to Yahweh your Elohim in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.

 8:29 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº said,ºº Behold,º Iº go outºº fromºº thee, and I will intreatººº Yähwè יָהוֶהº that the swarmsº [of flies] may departºº from Par`ò פַּרעֹה,ºº from his servants,ºº and from his people,ºº to morrow:º butº let notº Par`ò פַּרעֹהº deal deceitfullyºº any moreºº in notº lettingº the peopleº goºº to sacrificeºº to Yähwè יָהוֶה.º

 8:29 And Mosheh said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat Yahweh that the swarms [of flies] may depart from Paroh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Paroh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Yahweh.

 8:30 And Möšè מֹשֶׁהº went outºº fromºº Par`ò פַּרעֹה,º and intreatedººº Yähwè יָהוֶה.º

 8:30 And Mosheh went out from Paroh, and intreated Yahweh.

 8:31 And Yähwè יָהוֶהº didºº according to the wordº of Möšè מֹשֶׁה;º and he removedºº the swarmsº [of flies] from Par`ò פַּרעֹה,ºº from his servants,ºº and from his people;ºº there remainedºº notº one.º

 8:31 And Yahweh did according to the word of Mosheh; and he removed the swarms [of flies] from Paroh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

 8:32 And Par`ò פַּרעֹהº hardenedººº his heartº at thisº timeº also,º neitherº would he letº the peopleº go.ºº

 8:32 And Paroh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
