Job 24

1 Wickedness goeth often unpunished. 17 There is a secret judgment for the wicked.

 24:1 “Why 4069 are times 6256 not stored 6845 up by the Almighty 7706b, And why do those who know 3045 Him not see 2372 His days 3117?

 24:2 “Some remove 5381 the landmarks 1367; They seize 1497 and devour 7462a flocks 5739.

 24:3 “They drive 5090a away 5090a the donkeys 2543 of the orphans 3490; They take 2254a the widow’s 490 ox 7794 for a pledge 2254a.

 24:4 “They push 5186 the needy 34 aside 5186 from the road 1870; The poor 6041 of the land 776 are made to hide 2244 themselves altogether 3162.

 24:5 “Behold 2005, as wild 6501 donkeys 6501 in the wilderness 4057b They go 3318 forth 3318 seeking 7836 food 2964 in their activity 6467, As bread 3899 for [their] children 5288 in the desert 6160.

 24:6 “They harvest 7114b their fodder 1098 in the field 7704 And glean 3953 the vineyard 3754 of the wicked 7563.

 24:7 “They spend 3885a the night 3885a naked 6174, without 1097 clothing 3830, And have 369 no 369 covering 3682 against the cold 7135.

 24:8 “They are wet 7372 with the mountain 2022 rains 2230 And hug 2263 the rock 6697 for want 1097 of a shelter 4268.

 24:10 “They cause [the poor] to go 1980 about naked 6174 without 1097 clothing 3830, And they take 5375 away 5375 the sheaves 6016a from the hungry 7457.

 24:11 “Within 996 the walls 7791 they produce 6671 oil 6671; They tread 1869 wine 3342 presses 3342 but thirst 6770.

 24:12 “From the city 5892b men 4962 groan 5008, And the souls 5315 of the wounded 2491a cry 7768 out; Yet God 433 does not pay 7760 attention 7760 to folly 8604.

 24:13 ¶ “Others 1992a have been 1961 with those who rebel 4775 against the light 216; They do not want to know 5234 its ways 1870 Nor 3808 abide 3427 in its paths 5410b.

 24:14 “The murderer 7523 arises 6965 at dawn 216; He kills 6991 the poor 6041 and the needy 34, And at night 3915 he is as a thief 1590.

 24:15 “The eye 5869 of the adulterer 5003 waits 8104 for the twilight 5399, Saying 559, ‘No 3808 eye 5869 will see 7789 me.’ And he disguises 7760 5643a his face 6440.

 24:16 “In the dark 2822 they dig 2864 into houses 1004, They shut 2856 themselves up by day 3119; They do not know 3045 the light 216.

 24:19 “Drought 6723 and heat 2527 consume 1497 the snow 7950 waters 4325, [So does] Sheol 7585 [those who] have sinned 2398.

 24:20 “A mother 7358 will forget 7911 him; The worm 7415 feeds 4985 sweetly 4985 till he is no 3808 longer 5750 remembered 2142. And wickedness 5767b will be broken 7665 like a tree 6086.

 24:21 “He wrongs 7462a the barren 6135 woman 6135 And does 3190 no 3808 good 3190 for the widow 490.
