Job 30
1 Job's honour is turned into extreme contempt. 15 His prosperity into calamity.

30:1
“But now 6258 those 6810 younger 6810 than 4480 I mock 7832 me, Whose 834 fathers 1 I disdained 3988a to put 7896 with the dogs 3611 of my flock 6629.

30:2
“Indeed 1571, what 4100 [good was] the strength 3581b of their hands 3027 to me? Vigor 3624 had perished 6 from them.

30:3
“From want 2639 and famine 3720 they are gaunt 1565 Who gnaw 6207 the dry 6723 ground by night 570 in waste 7724b and desolation 4875,

30:4
Who pluck 6998 mallow 4408 by the bushes 7880, And whose food 3899 is the root 8328 of the broom 7574 shrub 7574.

30:5
“They are driven 1644 from the community 1460b; They shout 7321 against 5921 them as [against] a thief 1590,

30:6
So that they dwell 7931 in dreadful 6178 valleys 5158a, In holes 2356 of the earth 6083 and of the rocks 3710.

30:7
“Among 996 the bushes 7880 they cry 5101 out; Under 8478 the nettles 2738 they are gathered 5596 together 5596.

30:8
“Fools 1121 5036, even 1571 those 1121 without 1097 a name 8034, They were scourged 5217 from the land 776.

30:9
¶ “And now 6258 I have become 1961 their taunt 5058, I have even become 1961 a byword 4405 to them.

30:10
“They abhor 8581 me [and] stand 7368 aloof 7368 from me, And they do not refrain 2820 from spitting 7536 at my face 6440.

30:11
“Because 3588 He has loosed 6605a His bowstring 3499b and afflicted 6031a me, They have cast 7971 off 7971 the bridle 7448 before 4480 6440 me.

30:12
“On the right 3225 hand 3225 their brood 6526 arises 6965; They thrust 7971 aside my feet 7272 and build 5549 up against 5921 me their ways 734 of destruction 343.

30:13
“They break 5420 up my path 5410b, They profit 3276 from my destruction 1942; No 3808 one restrains 5826 them.

30:14
“As [through] a wide 7342 breach 6556 they come 857, Amid 8478 the tempest 7724b they roll 1556 on.

30:15
“Terrors 1091 are turned 2015 against 5921 me; They pursue 7291 my honor 5082 as the wind 7307, And my prosperity 3444 has passed 5674a away 5674a like a cloud 5645.

30:16
¶ “And now 6258 my soul 5315 is poured 8210 out within 5921 me; Days 3117 of affliction 6040a have seized 270 me.

30:17
“At night 3915 it pierces 5365 my bones 6106 within 4480 5921 me, And my gnawing 6207 [pains] take 7901 no 3808 rest 7901.

30:18
“By a great 7230 force 3581b my garment 3830 is distorted 2664; It binds 247 me about as the collar 6310 of my coat 3801.

30:19
“He has cast 3384 me into the mire 2563a, And I have become 4911a like 4911a dust 6083 and ashes 665.

30:20
“I cry 7768 out to You for help 7768, but You do not answer 6030a me; I stand 5975 up, and You turn 995 Your attention 995 against me.

30:21
“You have become 2015 cruel 393 to me; With the might 6108 of Your hand 3027 You persecute 7852 me.

30:22
“You lift 5375 me up to the wind 7307 [and] cause me to ride 7392; And You dissolve 4127 me in a storm 8663.

30:23
“For I know 3045 that You will bring 7725 me to death 4194 And to the house 1004 of meeting 4150 for all 3605 living 2416a.

30:24
¶ “Yet 389 does not one in a heap 5856 of ruins 5856 stretch 7971 out [his] hand 3027, Or 518 in his disaster 6365 therefore 3651 cry 7769 out for help 7769?

30:25
“Have I not wept 1058 for the one whose life 3117 is hard 7186? Was not my soul 5315 grieved 5701 for the needy 34?

30:26
“When 3588 I expected 6960a good 2896b, then evil 7451b came 935; When I waited 3176 for light 216, then darkness 652 came 935.

30:27
“I am seething 7570 within 4578 and cannot 3808 relax 1826a; Days 3117 of affliction 6040a confront 6923 me.

30:28
“I go 1980 about mourning 6937 without 3808 comfort; I stand 6965 up in the assembly 6951 [and] cry 7768 out for help 7768.

30:29
“I have become 1961 a brother 251 to jackals 8565 And a companion 7453 of ostriches 1323 3284.

30:30
“My skin 5785 turns 7835 black 7835 on me, And my bones 6106 burn 2787 with fever 2721a.

30:31
“Therefore my harp 3658 is turned 1961 to mourning 60, And my flute 5748 to the sound 6963 of those who weep 1058.
