Job 42

1 Job submitteth himself unto God. 7 God, preferring Job's cause, maketh his friends submit themselves, and accepteth him. 10 He magnifieth and blesseth Job. 16 Job's age and death.

 42:1 Then Job 347 answered 6030a the LORD 3068 and said 559,

 42:2 “I know 3045 that You can 3201 do all 3605 things 3605, And that no 3808 purpose 4209 of Yours can be thwarted 1219.

 42:3 ‘Who 4310 is this 2088 that hides 5956 counsel 6098 without 1097 knowledge 1847?’ “Therefore 3651 I have declared 5046 that which I did not understand 995, Things 6381 too 4480 wonderful 6381 for me, which I did not know 3045.”

 42:4 ‘Hear 8085, now 4994, and I will speak 1696; I will ask 7592 You, and You instruct 3045 me.’

 42:5 “I have heard 8085 of You by the hearing 8088 of the ear 241; But now 6258 my eye 5869 sees 7200 You;

 42:6 Therefore 5921 3651 I retract 3988a, And I repent 5162 in dust 6083 and ashes 665.”

 42:7 ¶ It came 1961 about after 310 the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 these 428 words 1697 to Job 347, that the LORD 3068 said 559 to Eliphaz 464 the Temanite 8489, “My wrath 639 is kindled 2734 against you and against your two 8147 friends 7453, because 3588 you have not spoken 1696 of Me what is right 3559 as My servant 5650 Job 347 has.

 42:8 “Now 6258 therefore, take 3947 for yourselves seven 7651 bulls 6499 and seven 7651 rams 352a, and go 1980 to My servant 5650 Job 347, and offer 5927 up a burnt 5930a offering 5930a for yourselves, and My servant 5650 Job 347 will pray 6419 for you. For I will accept 6440 5375 him so 1115 that I may not do 6213a with you [according to your] folly 5039, because 3588 you have not spoken 1696 of Me what is right 3559, as My servant 5650 Job 347 has.”

 42:9 So Eliphaz 464 the Temanite 8489 and Bildad 1085 the Shuhite 7747 [and] Zophar 6691 the Naamathite 5284 went 1980 and did 6213a as the LORD 3068 told 1696 them; and the LORD 3068 accepted 5375 6440 Job 347.

 42:10 ¶ The LORD 3068 restored 7725 the fortunes 7622 of Job 347 when he prayed 6419 for his friends 7453, and the LORD 3068 increased 3254 all 3605 that Job 347 had twofold 4932.

 42:11 Then all 3605 his brothers 251 and all 3605 his sisters 269 and all 3605 who had known 3045 him before 6440 came 935 to him, and they ate 398 bread 3899 with him in his house 1004; and they consoled 5110 him and comforted 5162 him for all 3605 the adversities 7463a that the LORD 3068 had brought 935 on him. And each 376 one 376 gave 5414 him one 259 piece 7192 of money 7192, and each 376 a ring 5141 of gold 2091.

 42:12 The LORD 3068 blessed 1288 the latter 319 [days] of Job 347 more 4480 than 4480 his beginning 7225; and he had 1961 14,000 702 6240 505 sheep 6629 and 6,000 8337a 505 camels 1581 and 1,000 505 yoke 6776 of oxen 1241 and 1,000 505 female 860 donkeys 860.

 42:13 He had 1961 seven 7658 sons 1121 and three 7969 daughters 1323.

 42:14 He named 7121 8034 the first 259 Jemimah 3224, and the second 8145 Keziah 7103, and the third 7992 Keren-happuch 7163a.

 42:15 In all 3605 the land 776 no 3808 women 802 were found 4672 so fair 3303 as Job’s 347 daughters 1323; and their father 1 gave 5414 them inheritance 5159 among 8432 their brothers 251.

 42:16 After 310 this 384, Job 347 lived 2421a 140 3967 705 years 8141, and saw 7200 his sons 1121 and his grandsons 1121, four 702 generations 1755.

 42:17 And Job 347 died 4191, an old 2205 man 2205 and full 7649 of days 3117.
