Job 36

1 Elihu sheweth how God is just in his ways. 16 How Job's sins hinder God's blessings. 24 God's works are to be magnified.

 36:1 Then Elihu 453 continued 3254 and said 559,

 36:2 “Wait 3803 for me a little 2191, and I will show 2331a you That there is yet 5750 more 5750 to be said 4405 in God’s 433 behalf.

 36:3 “I will fetch 5375 my knowledge 1843 from afar 7350, And I will ascribe 5414 righteousness 6664 to my Maker 6466.

 36:4 “For truly 551 my words 4405 are not false 8267; One who 8549 is perfect 8549 in knowledge 1844 is with you.

 36:5 “Behold 2005, God 410 is mighty 3524 but does not despise 3988a [any]; [He is] mighty 3524 in strength 3581b of understanding 3820.

 36:6 “He does not keep 2421a the wicked 7563 alive 2421a, But gives 5414 justice 4941 to the afflicted 6041.

 36:7 “He does not withdraw 1639 His eyes 5869 from the righteous 6662; But with kings 4428 on the throne 3678 He has seated 3427 them forever 5331, and they are exalted 1361b.

 36:8 “And if 518 they are bound 631 in fetters 2203b, And are caught 3920 in the cords 2256a of affliction 6040a,

 36:9 Then He declares 5046 to them their work 6467 And their transgressions 6588, that they have magnified 1396 themselves.

 36:10 “He opens 1540 their ear 241 to instruction 4148, And commands 559 that they return 7725 from evil 205.

 36:11 “If 518 they hear 8085 and serve 5647 [Him], They will end 3615 their days 3117 in prosperity 2896b And their years 8141 in pleasures 5273a.

 36:12 “But if 518 they do not hear 8085, they shall perish 5674a by the sword 2719 And they will die 1478 without 1097 knowledge 1847.

 36:13 “But the godless 2611 in heart 3820 lay 7760 up anger 639; They do not cry 7768 for help 7768 when 3588 He binds 631 them.

 36:14 “They die 4191 in youth 5290, And their life 2421b [perishes] among the cult 6945 prostitutes 6945.

 36:15 “He delivers 2502a the afflicted 6041 in their affliction 6040a, And opens 1540 their ear 241 in [time of] oppression 3906.

 36:16 “Then indeed 637, He enticed 5496 you from the mouth 6310 of distress 6862b, Instead 8478 of it, a broad 7338 place 7338 with no 3808 constraint 4164; And that which 5183a was set 5183a on your table 7979 was full 4390 of fatness 1880.

 36:17 ¶ “But you were full 4390 of judgment 1779 on the wicked 7563; Judgment 1779 and justice 4941 take 8551 hold 8551 [of you].

 36:18 “[Beware] that wrath 2534 does not entice 5496 you to scoffing 5607; And do not let the greatness 7230 of the ransom 3724a turn 5186 you aside 5186.

 36:19 “Will your riches 7770b keep 6186a you from distress 6862b, Or all 3605 the forces 3981 of [your] strength 3581b?

 36:20 “Do not long 7602a for the night 3915, When people 5971a vanish 5927 in their place 8478.

 36:21 “Be careful 8104, do not turn 6437 to evil 205, For you have preferred 977 this 2088 to affliction 6040a.

 36:22 “Behold 2005, God 410 is exalted 7682 in His power 3581b; Who 4310 is a teacher 4175b like 3644 Him?

 36:23 “Who 4310 has appointed 6485 Him His way 1870, And who 4310 has said 559, ‘You have done 6466 wrong 5767b’?

 36:24 ¶ “Remember 2142 that you should exalt 7679 His work 6467, Of which 834 men 376 have sung 7891.

 36:25 “All 3605 men 120 have seen 2372 it; Man 120 beholds 5027 from afar 7350.

 36:26 “Behold 2005, God 410 is exalted 7689, and we do not know 3045 [Him]; The number 4557 of His years 8141 is unsearchable 3808 2714.

 36:27 “For He draws 1639 up the drops 5198a of water 4325, They distill 2212 rain 4306 from the mist 108,

 36:28 Which 834 the clouds 7834 pour 5140 down 5140, They drip 7491 upon man 120 abundantly 7227a.

 36:29 “Can anyone understand 995 the spreading 4666 of the clouds 5645, The thundering 8663 of His pavilion 5521?

 36:30 “Behold 2005, He spreads 6566 His lightning 216 about 5921 Him, And He covers 3680 the depths 8328 of the sea 3220.

 36:31 “For by these He judges 1777 peoples 5971a; He gives 5414 food 400 in abundance 3527.

 36:32 “He covers 3680 [His] hands 3709 with the lightning 216, And commands 6680 it to strike 6293 the mark 6293.

 36:33 “Its noise 7452 declares 5046 His presence 5921; The cattle 4735 also 637, concerning 5921 what is coming 5927 up.
