 29:1 ¶ And these are the things which thou shalt do to them: thou shalt sanctify them, so that they shall serve me in the priesthood; and thou shalt take one young calf from the herd, and two unblemished rams;

 29:1 ¶ And thisº [is] the thingº thatº thou shalt doºº unto them to hallowºº them, to minister unto me in the priest's office:ºº Takeºº oneº youngºº bullock,º and twoº ramsº without blemish,º

 29:2 and unleavened loaves kneaded with oil, and unleavened cakes anointed with oil: thou shalt make them [of] fine flour of wheat.

 29:2 And unleavenedº bread,º and cakesº unleavenedº temperedºº with oil,º and wafersº unleavenedº anointedºº with oil:º [of] wheatenº flourº shalt thou makeºº them.

 29:3 And thou shalt put them on one basket, and thou shalt offer them on the basket, and the young calf and the two rams.

 29:3 And thou shalt putºº them intoº oneº basket,º and bringºº them in the basket,º with the bullockº and the twoº rams.º

 29:4 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons to the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and thou shalt wash them with water.

 29:4 And Aaronº and his sonsº thou shalt bringºº untoº the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º and shalt washºº them with water.º

 29:5 And having taken the garments, thou shalt put on Aaron thy brother both the full-length robe and the ephod and the oracle; and thou shalt join for him the oracle to the ephod.

 29:5 And thou shalt takeººº the garments,º and putºº uponºº Aaronºº the coat,º and the robeº of the ephod,º and the ephod,º and the breastplate,º and girdºº him with the curious girdleº of the ephod:º

 29:6 And thou shalt put the mitre on his head; and thou shalt put the plate, [even] the Holiness, on the mitre.

 29:6 And thou shalt putºº the mitreº uponº his head,º and putººº the holyº crownº uponº the mitre.º

 29:7 And thou shalt take of the anointing oil, and thou shalt pour it on his head, and shalt anoint him,

 29:7 Then shalt thou takeººº the anointingº oil,º and pourºº [it] uponº his head,º and anointºº him.

 29:8 and thou shalt bring his sons, and put garments on them.

 29:8 And thou shalt bringºº his sons,º and putºº coatsº uponºº them.

 29:9 And thou shalt gird them with the girdles, and put the tires upon them, and they shall have a priestly office to me for ever; and thou shalt fill the hands of Aaron and the hands of his sons.

 29:9 And thou shalt girdºº them with girdles,º Aaronº and his sons,º and putºº the bonnetsº on them: and the priest's officeº shall beº theirs for a perpetualº statute:º and thou shalt consecrateººº Aaronº and his sons.º

 29:10 And thou shalt bring the calf to the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the calf, before the Lord, by the doors of the tabernacle of witness.

 29:10 And thou shalt causeº a bullockº to be broughtºº beforeº the tabernacleº of the congregation:º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putººº their handsº uponº the headº of the bullock.º

 29:11 And thou shalt slay the calf before the Lord, by the doors of the tabernacle of witness.

 29:11 And thou shalt killººº the bullockº beforeº Yahweh,º [by] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation.º

 29:12 And thou shalt take of the blood of the calf, and put it on the horns of the altar with thy finger, but all the rest of the blood thou shalt pour out at the foot of the altar.

 29:12 And thou shalt takeºº of the bloodºº of the bullock,º and putºº [it] uponº the hornsº of the altarº with thy finger,º and pourºº allº the bloodº besideº the bottomº of the altar.º

 29:13 And thou shalt take all the fat that is on the belly, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and shalt put them upon the altar.

 29:13 And thou shalt takeººº allº the fatº that coverethººº the inwards,º and the caulº [that is] aboveº the liver,º and the twoº kidneys,º and the fatº thatº [is] uponº them, and burnºº [them] upon the altar.º

 29:14 But the flesh of the calf, and his skin, and his dung, shalt thou burn with fire without the camp; for it is an [offering on account] of sin.

 29:14 But the fleshº of the bullock,º and his skin,º and his dung,º shalt thou burnºº with fireº withoutºº the camp:º itº [is] a sin offering.º

 29:15 ¶ And thou shalt take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

 29:15 ¶ Thou shalt also takeºº oneº ram;º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putººº their handsº uponº the headº of the ram.º

 29:16 And thou shalt kill it, and take the blood and pour it on the altar round about.

 29:16 And thou shalt slayººº the ram,º and thou shalt takeººº his blood,º and sprinkleºº [it] round aboutº uponº the altar.º

 29:17 And thou shalt divide the ram by his several limbs, and thou shalt wash the inward parts and the feet with water, and thou shalt put them on the divided parts with the head.

 29:17 And thou shalt cutºº the ramº in pieces,º and washºº the inwardsº of him, and his legs,º and putºº [them] untoº his pieces,º and untoº his head.º

 29:18 And thou shalt offer the whole ram on the altar, a whole burnt-offering to the Lord for a sweet-smelling savour: it is an offering of incense to the Lord.

 29:18 And thou shalt burnººº the wholeº ramº upon the altar:º itº [is] a burnt offeringº unto Yahweh:º it [is] a sweetº savour,º an offering made by fireº unto Yahweh.º

 29:19 ¶ And thou shalt take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.

 29:19 ¶ And thou shalt takeººº the otherº ram;º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putººº their handsº uponº the headº of the ram.º

 29:20 And thou shalt kill it, and take of the blood of it, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, and on the tips of the right ears of his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the great toes of their right feet.

 29:20 Then shalt thou killººº the ram,º and takeºº of his blood,ºº and putºº [it] uponº the tipº of the right earº of Aaron,º and uponº the tipº of the rightº earº of his sons,º and uponº the thumbº of their rightº hand,º and uponº the great toeº of their rightº foot,º and sprinkleººº the bloodº uponº the altarº round about.º

 29:21 And thou shalt take of the blood from the altar, and of the anointing oil; and thou shalt sprinkle it upon Aaron and on his garments, and on his sons and on his sons' garments with him; and he shall be sanctified and his apparel, and his sons and his sons' apparel with him: but the blood of the ram thou shalt pour round about upon the altar.

 29:21 And thou shalt takeºº ofº the bloodº thatº [is] uponº the altar,º and of the anointingº oil,ººº and sprinkleºº [it] uponº Aaron,º and uponº his garments,º and uponº his sons,º and uponº the garmentsº of his sonsº withº him: and heº shall be hallowed,ºº and his garments,º and his sons,º and his sons'º garmentsº withº him.

 29:22 And thou shalt take from the ram its fat, both the fat that covers the belly, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder, for this is a consecration.

 29:22 Also thou shalt takeºº ofº the ramº the fatº and the rump,º and the fatº that coverethººº the inwards,º and the caulº [above] the liver,º and the twoº kidneys,º and the fatº thatº [is] uponº them, and the rightº shoulder;º forº itº [is] a ramº of consecration:º

 29:23 And one cake [made] with oil, and one cake from the basket of unleavened bread set forth before the Lord.

 29:23 And oneº loafº of bread,º and oneº cakeº of oiledº bread,º and oneº waferº out of the basketºº of the unleavened breadº thatº [is] beforeº Yahweh:º

 29:24 And thou shalt put them all on the hands of Aaron, and on the hands of his sons, and thou shalt separate them as a separate offering before the Lord.

 29:24 And thou shalt putºº allº inº the handsº of Aaron,º and inº the handsº of his sons;º and shalt waveºº them [for] a wave offeringº beforeº Yahweh.º

 29:25 And thou shalt take them from their hands, and shalt offer them up on the altar of whole burnt-offering for a sweet-smelling savour before the Lord: it is an offering to the Lord.

 29:25 And thou shalt receiveºº them of their hands,ºº and burnºº [them] upon the altarº forº a burnt offering,º for a sweetº savourº beforeº Yahweh:º itº [is] an offering made by fireº unto Yahweh.º

 29:26 And thou shalt take the breast from the ram of consecration which is Aaron's, and thou shalt separate it as a separate offering before the Lord, and it shall be to thee for a portion.

 29:26 And thou shalt takeººº the breastº of the ramºº of Aaron'sº consecration,º and waveºº it [for] a wave offeringº beforeº Yahweh:º and it shall beº thy part.º

 29:27 And thou shalt sanctify the separated breast and the shoulder of removal which has been separated, and which has been removed from the ram of consecration, of the portion of Aaron and of [that of] his sons.

 29:27 And thou shalt sanctifyººº the breastº of the wave offering,º and the shoulderº of the heave offering,º whichº is waved,ºº and whichº is heaved up,ºº of the ramºº of the consecration,º [even] of [that] whichºº [is] for Aaron,º and of [that] whichºº is for his sons:º

 29:28 And it shall be a perpetual statute of the children of Israel to Aaron and his sons, for this is a separate offering; and it shall be a special offering from the children of Israel, from the peace-offerings of the children of Israel, a special offering to the Lord.

 29:28 And it shall beº Aaron'sº and his sons'º by a statuteº for everº fromºº the childrenº of Israel:º forº itº [is] an heave offering:º and it shall beº an heave offeringº fromºº the childrenº of Israelº of the sacrificeºº of their peace offerings,º [even] their heave offeringº unto Yahweh.º

 29:29 ¶ And the apparel of the sanctuary which is Aaron's shall be his son's after him, for them to be anointed in them, and to fill their hands.

 29:29 ¶ And the holyº garmentsº of Aaronº shall beº his sons'º afterº him, to be anointedºº therein, and to be consecratedºººº in them.

 29:30 The priest his successor from among his sons who shall go into the tabernacle of witness to minister in the holies, shall put them on seven days.

 29:30 [And] that sonºº that is priestº in his steadº shall putºº them onº sevenº days,º whenº he comethºº intoº the tabernacleº of the congregationº to ministerºº in the holyº [place].

 29:31 ¶ And thou shalt take the ram of consecration, and thou shalt boil the flesh in the holy place.

 29:31 ¶ And thou shalt takeºº the ramº of the consecration,º and seetheººº his fleshº in the holyº place.º

 29:32 And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the loaves in the basket, by the doors of the tabernacle of witness.

 29:32 And Aaronº and his sonsº shall eatººº the fleshº of the ram,º and the breadº thatº [is] in the basket,º [by] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation.º

 29:33 They shall eat the offerings with which they were sanctified to fill their hands, to sanctify them; and a stranger shall not eat of them, for they are holy.

 29:33 And they shall eatºº those things wherewithº the atonement was made,ºº to consecrateºººº [and] to sanctifyºº them: but a strangerºº shall notº eatºº [thereof], becauseº theyº [are] holy.º

 29:34 And if [aught] be left of the flesh of the sacrifice of consecration and of the loaves until the morning, thou shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, for it is a holy thing.

 29:34 And ifº ought of the fleshºº of the consecrations,º or ofº the bread,º remainºº untoº the morning,º then thou shalt burnººº the remainderºº with fire:º it shall notº be eaten,ºº becauseº itº [is] holy.º

 29:35 And thus shalt thou do for Aaron and for his sons according to all things that I have commanded thee; seven days shalt thou fill their hands.

 29:35 And thusº shalt thou doºº unto Aaron,º and to his sons,º according to allº [things] whichº I have commandedºº thee: sevenº daysº shalt thou consecrateººº them.

 29:36 And thou shalt sacrifice the calf of the sin-offering on the day of purification, and thou shalt purify the altar when thou dost perform consecration upon it, and thou shalt anoint it so as to sanctify it.

 29:36 And thou shalt offerºº every dayº a bullockº [for] a sin offeringº forº atonement:º and thou shalt cleanseººº the altar,º when thou hast made an atonementºº forº it, and thou shalt anointºº it, to sanctifyºº it.

 29:37 Seven days shalt thou purify the altar and sanctify it; and the altar shall be most holy, every one that touches the altar shall be hallowed.

 29:37 Sevenº daysº thou shalt make an atonementºº forº the altar,º and sanctifyºº it; and it shall beº an altarº most holy:º whatsoeverº touchethºº the altarº shall be holy.ºº

 29:38 ¶ And these are the offerings which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two unblemished lambs of a year old daily on the altar continually, a constant offering.

 29:38 ¶ Now thisº [is that] whichº thou shalt offerºº uponº the altar;º twoº lambsº of the firstº yearº dayº by dayº continually.º

 29:39 One lamb thou shalt offer in the morning, and the second lamb thou shalt offer in the evening.

 29:39 º The oneº lambº thou shalt offerºº in the morning;º and the otherº lambº thou shalt offerºº atº even:º

 29:40 And a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil, and a drink-offering the fourth part of a hin of wine for one lamb.

 29:40 And with the oneº lambº a tenthº dealº of flourº mingledºº with the fourth partº of an hinº of beatenº oil;º and the fourth partº of an hinº of wineº [for] a drink offering.º

 29:41 And thou shalt offer the second lamb in the evening, after the manner of the morning-offering, and according to the drink-offering of the morning lamb; thou shalt offer it an offering to the Lord for a sweet-smelling savour,

 29:41 And the otherº lambº thou shalt offerºº atº even,º and shalt doºº thereto according to the meat offeringº of the morning,º and according to the drink offeringº thereof, for a sweetº savour,º an offering made by fireº unto Yahweh.º

 29:42 a perpetual sacrifice throughout your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of witness before the Lord; wherein I will be known to thee from thence, so as to speak to thee.

 29:42 [This shall be] a continualº burnt offeringº throughout your generationsº [at] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregationº beforeº Yahweh:º whereºº I will meetºº you, to speakºº thereº untoº thee.

 29:43 And I will there give orders to the children of Israel, and I will be sanctified in my glory.

 29:43 And thereº I will meetºº with the childrenº of Israel,º and [the tabernacle] shall be sanctifiedºº by my glory.º

 29:44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of testimony and the altar, and I will sanctify Aaron and his sons, to minister as priests to me.

 29:44 And I will sanctifyººº the tabernacleº of the congregation,º and the altar:º I will sanctifyºº also both Aaronº and his sons,º to minister to me in the priest's office.ºº

 29:45 ¶ And I will be called upon among the children of Israel, and will be their God.

 29:45 ¶ And I will dwellºº amongº the childrenº of Israel,º and will beº their Elohim.º

 29:46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them forth out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, to be called upon by them, and to be their God.

 29:46 And they shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yahwehº their Elohim,º thatº brought them forthººº out of the landºº of Egypt,º that I may dwellºº amongº them: Iº [am] Yahwehº their Elohim.º
