 7:1 ¶ And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, Behold, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

 7:1 ¶ And Yahwehº saidºº untoº Moses,º See,ºº I have madeºº thee an elohimº to Pharaoh:º and Aaronº thy brotherº shall beº thy prophet.º

 7:2 And thou shalt say to him all things that I charge thee, and Aaron thy brother shall speak to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, that he should send forth the children of Israel out of his land.

 7:2 Thouº shalt speakººº allº thatº I commandºº thee: and Aaronº thy brotherº shall speakºº untoº Pharaoh,º that he sendººº the childrenº of Israelº out of his land.ºº

 7:3 And I will harden the heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and I will multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 7:3 And Iº will hardenººº Pharaoh'sº heart,º and multiplyººº my signsº and my wondersº in the landº of Egypt.º

 7:4 And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} will not hearken to you, and I will lay my hand upon Mizraim{gr.Egypt}; and will bring out my people the children of Israel with my power out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} with great vengeance.

 7:4 But Pharaohº shall notº hearkenºº untoº you, that I may layººº my handº upon Egypt,º and bring forthººº mine armies,º [and]º my peopleº the childrenº of Israel,º out of the landºº of Egyptº by greatº judgments.º

 7:5 And all the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} shall know that I am the Lord, stretching out my hand upon Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and I will bring out the children of Israel out of the midst of them.

 7:5 And the Egyptiansº shall knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yahweh,º when I stretch forthººº mine handº uponº Egypt,º and bring outººº the childrenº of Israelº from amongºº them.

 7:6 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they.

 7:6 And Mosesº and Aaronº didºº asº Yahwehº commandedºº them, soº didºº they.

 7:7 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} was eighty years old, and Aaron his brother was eighty-three years old, when he spoke to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}.

 7:7 And Mosesº [was] fourscoreº yearsº old,º and Aaronº fourscoreº and threeº yearsº old,º when they spakeºº untoº Pharaoh.º

 7:8 ¶ And the Lord spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron, saying,

 7:8 ¶ And Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Mosesº and untoº Aaron,º saying,ºº

 7:9 Now if Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} should speak to you, saying, Give us a sign or a wonder, then shalt thou say to thy brother Aaron, Take thy rod and cast it upon the ground before Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and before his servants, and it shall become a serpent.

 7:9 Whenº Pharaohº shall speakºº untoº you, saying,ºº Shewºº a miracleº for you: then thou shalt sayºº untoº Aaron,º Takeººº thy rod,º and castºº [it] beforeº Pharaoh,º [and] it shall becomeº a serpent.º

 7:10 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron went in before Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and [before] his servants, and they did so, as the Lord commanded them; and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

 7:10 ¶ And Mosesº and Aaronº went inºº untoº Pharaoh,º and they didºº soº asº Yahwehº had commanded:ºº and Aaronº cast downººº his rodº beforeº Pharaoh,º and beforeº his servants,º and it becameº a serpent.º

 7:11 But Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} called together the wise men of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and the sorcerers, and the charmers also of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} did likewise with their sorceries.

 7:11 Then Pharaohº alsoº calledºº the wise menº and the sorcerers:ºº now the magiciansº of Egypt,º theyº alsoº didºº in like mannerº with their enchantments.º

 7:12 And they cast down each his rod, and they became serpents, but the rod of Aaron swallowed up their rods.

 7:12 For they cast downºº every manº his rod,º and they becameº serpents:º but Aaron'sº rodº swallowed upººº their rods.º

 7:13 And the heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} was hardened, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord charged them.

 7:13 And he hardenedºº Pharaoh'sº heart,º that he hearkenedºº notº untoº them; asº Yahwehº had said.ºº

 7:14 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, The heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} is made hard, so that he should not let the people go.

 7:14 ¶ And Yahwehº saidºº untoº Moses,º Pharaoh'sº heartº [is] hardened,º he refusethºº to let the peopleº go.ºº

 7:15 Go to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} early in the morning: behold, he goes forth to the water; and thou shalt meet him on the bank of the river, and thou shalt take in thine hand the rod that was turned into a serpent.

 7:15 Getººº thee untoº Pharaohº in the morning;º lo,º he goeth outºº unto the water;º and thou shalt standºº byº the river'sº brinkº against he come;ºº and the rodº whichº was turnedºº to a serpentº shalt thou takeºº in thine hand.º

 7:16 And thou shalt say to him, The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to thee, saying, Send my people away, that they may serve me in the wilderness, and, behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened.

 7:16 And thou shalt sayºº untoº him, Yahwehº Elohimº of the Hebrewsº hath sentºº me untoº thee, saying,ºº Letº my peopleº go,ºº that they may serveºº me in the wilderness:º and, behold,º hithertoºº thou wouldest notº hear.ºº

 7:17 These things saith the Lord: Hereby shalt thou know that I am the Lord: behold, I strike with the rod that is in my hand on the water which is in the river, and it shall change it into blood.

 7:17 Thusº saithºº Yahweh,º In thisº thou shalt knowºº thatº Iº [am] Yahweh:º behold,º Iº will smiteºº with the rodº thatº [is] in mine handº uponº the watersº whichº [are] in the river,º and they shall be turnedºº to blood.º

 7:18 And the fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall stink thereupon, and the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} shall not be able to drink water from the river.

 7:18 And the fishº thatº [is] in the riverº shall die,ºº and the riverº shall stink;ºº and the Egyptiansº shall lotheºº to drinkºº of the waterº ofº the river.º

 7:19 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Say to thy brother Aaron, Take thy rod in thy hand, and stretch forth thy hand over the waters of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and over their rivers, and over their canals, and over their ponds, and over all their standing water, and it shall become blood: and there was blood in all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, both in vessels of wood and of stone.

 7:19 ¶ And Yahwehº spakeºº untoº Moses,º Sayºº untoº Aaron,º Takeºº thy rod,º and stretch outºº thine handº uponº the watersº of Egypt,º uponº their streams,º uponº their rivers,º and uponº their ponds,º and uponº allº their poolsº of water,º that they may becomeº blood;º and [that] there may beº bloodº throughout allº the landº of Egypt,º both in [vessels of] wood,º and in [vessels of] stone.º

 7:20 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded them; and [Aaron] having lifted up [his hand] with his rod, smote the water in the river before Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and before his servants, and changed all the water in the river into blood.

 7:20 And Mosesº and Aaronº didºº so,º asº Yahwehº commanded;ºº and he lifted upºº the rod,º and smoteººº the watersº thatº [were] in the river,º in the sightº of Pharaoh,º and in the sightº of his servants;º and allº the watersº thatº [were] in the riverº were turnedºº to blood.º

 7:21 And the fish in the river died, and the river stank thereupon; and the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} could not drink water from the river, and the blood was in all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 7:21 And the fishº thatº [was] in the riverº died;ºº and the riverº stank,ºº and the Egyptiansº couldºº notº drinkºº of the waterº ofº the river;º and there wasº bloodº throughout allº the landº of Egypt.º

 7:22 And the charmers also of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} did so with their sorceries; and the heart of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, even as the Lord said.

 7:22 And the magiciansº of Egyptº didºº soº with their enchantments:º and Pharaoh'sº heartº was hardened,ºº neitherº did he hearkenºº untoº them; asº Yahwehº had said.ºº

 7:23 And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} turned and entered into his house, nor did he fix his attention even on this thing.

 7:23 And Pharaohº turnedºº and wentºº intoº his house,º neitherº did he setºº his heartº to thisº also.º

 7:24 And all the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} dug round about the river, so as to drink water, for they could not drink water from the river.

 7:24 And allº the Egyptiansº diggedºº round aboutº the riverº for waterº to drink;ºº forº they couldºº notº drinkºº of the waterºº of the river.º

 7:25 And seven days were fulfilled after the Lord has smitten the river.

 7:25 And sevenº daysº were fulfilled,ºº afterº that Yahwehº had smittenººº the river.º
