 3:1 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} was feeding the flock of Jethro{gr.Jothor} his father-in-law, the priest of Midian{gr.Madiam}; and he brought the sheep nigh to the wilderness, and came to the mount of Horeb{gr.Choreb}.

 3:1 ¶ Now Moses° kept°°°°° the flock° of Jethro° his father in law,°° the priest° of Midian:° and he led°°° the flock° to the backside° of the desert,° and came°° to° the mountain° of Elohim,° [even] to Horeb.°

 3:2 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him in flaming fire out of the bush, and he sees that the bush burns with fire,-- but the bush was not consumed.

 3:2 And the angel° of Yahweh° appeared°° unto° him in a flame° of fire° out of the midst°° of a bush:° and he looked,°° and, behold,° the bush° burned°° with fire,° and the bush° [was] not° consumed.°°

 3:3 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said, I will go near and see this great sight, why the bush is not consumed.

 3:3 And Moses° said,°° I will now° turn aside,°° and see°° this° great°° sight,° why° the bush° is not° burnt.°°

 3:4 And when the Lord saw that he drew nigh to see, the Lord called him out of the bush, saying, Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Mosheh{gr.Moses}; and he said, What is it?

 3:4 And when Yahweh° saw°° that° he turned aside°° to see,°° Elohim° called°° unto° him out of the midst°° of the bush,° and said,°° Moses,° Moses.° And he said,°° Here° [am] I.

 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: loose thy sandals from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

 3:5 And he said,°° Draw not nigh°°° hither:° put off°° thy shoes° from off°° thy feet,° for° the place° whereon°° thou° standest°° [is] holy° ground.°

 3:6 And he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham{gr.Abraam}, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and Mosheh{gr.Moses} turned away his face, for he was afraid to gaze at God.

 3:6 Moreover he said,°° I° [am] the Elohim° of thy father,° the Elohim° of Abraham,° the Elohim° of Isaac,° and the Elohim° of Jacob.° And Moses° hid°° his face;° for° he was afraid°° to look°°° upon° Elohim.°

 3:7 ¶ And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and I have heard their cry [caused] by their task-masters; for I know their affliction.

 3:7 ¶ And Yahweh° said,°° I have surely°° seen°°° the affliction° of my people° which° [are] in Egypt,° and have heard°° their cry° by reason° of°° their taskmasters;°° for° I know°°° their sorrows;°

 3:8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and to bring them out of that land, and to bring them into a good and wide land, into a land flowing with milk and honey, into the place of the Canaanites{gr.Chananites}, and the Hittites{gr.Chettites}, and Amorites, and Perizzites{gr.Pherezites}, and Girgashites{gr.Gergesites}, and Hivites{gr.Evites}, and Jebusites.

 3:8 And I am come down°° to deliver°° them out of the hand°° of the Egyptians,° and to bring°° them up° out of° that° land° unto° a good° land° and a large,° unto° a land° flowing°° with milk° and honey;° unto° the place° of the Canaanites,° and the Hittites,° and the Amorites,° and the Perizzites,° and the Hivites,° and the Jebusites.°

 3:9 And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to me, and I have seen the affliction with which the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} afflict them.

 3:9 Now° therefore, behold,° the cry° of the children° of Israel° is come°° unto° me: and I have also° seen°°° the oppression° wherewith° the Egyptians° oppress°° them.

 3:10 And now come, I will send thee to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and thou shalt bring out my people the children of Israel from the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 3:10 Come°°° now° therefore, and I will send°° thee unto° Pharaoh,° that thou mayest bring forth°°° my people° the children° of Israel° out of Egypt.°°

 3:11 ¶ And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said to God, Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and that I should bring out the children of Israel from the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}?

 3:11 ¶ And Moses° said°° unto° Elohim,° Who° [am] I,° that° I should go°°° unto° Pharaoh,° and that° I should bring forth°°° the children° of Israel° out of Egypt?°°

 3:12 And God spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, I will be with thee, and this shall be the sign to thee that I shall send thee forth,-- when thou bringest out my people out of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, then ye shall serve God in this mountain.

 3:12 And he said,°° Certainly° I will be° with° thee; and this° [shall be] a token° unto thee, that° I° have sent°° thee: When thou hast brought forth°°° the people° out of Egypt,°° ye shall serve°°° Elohim° upon° this° mountain.°

 3:13 And Mosheh{gr.Moses} said to God, Behold, I shall go forth to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of our fathers has sent me to you; and they will ask me, What is his name? What shall I say to them?

 3:13 And Moses° said°° unto° Elohim,° Behold,° [when] I° come°° unto° the children° of Israel,° and shall say°° unto them, The Elohim° of your fathers° hath sent°° me unto° you; and they shall say°° to me, What° [is] his name?° what° shall I say°° unto° them?

 3:14 And God spoke to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, saying, I am THE BEING; and he said, Thus shall ye say to the children of Israel, THE BEING has sent me to you.

 3:14 And Elohim° said°° unto° Moses,° I AM°° THAT° I AM:°° and he said,°° Thus° shalt thou say°° unto the children° of Israel,° I AM° hath sent°° me unto° you.

 3:15 And God said again to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Thus shalt thou say to the sons of Israel, The Lord God of our fathers, the God of Abraham{gr.Abraam}, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and my memorial to generations of generations.

 3:15 And Elohim° said°° moreover° unto° Moses,° Thus° shalt thou say°° unto° the children° of Israel,° Yahweh° Elohim° of your fathers,° the Elohim° of Abraham,° the Elohim° of Isaac,° and the Elohim° of Jacob,° hath sent°° me unto° you: this° [is] my name° for ever,° and this° [is] my memorial° unto all° generations.°

 3:16 Go then and gather the elders of the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, The Lord God of our fathers has appeared to me, the God of Abraham{gr.Abraam}, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, saying, I have surely looked upon you, and upon all the things which have happened to you in Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.

 3:16 Go,°°° and gather°°° the elders° of Israel° together,°° and say°° unto° them, Yahweh° Elohim° of your fathers,° the Elohim° of Abraham,° of Isaac,° and of Jacob,° appeared°° unto° me, saying,°° I have surely°° visited°° you, and [seen] that which is done°° to you in Egypt:°

 3:17 And he said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} to the land of the Canaanites{gr.Chananites} and the Hittites{gr.Chettites}, and Amorites and Perizzites{gr.Pherezites}, and Girgashites{gr.Gergesites}, and Hivites{gr.Evites}, and Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

 3:17 And I have said,°° I will bring°° you up°° out of the affliction°° of Egypt° unto° the land° of the Canaanites,° and the Hittites,° and the Amorites,° and the Perizzites,° and the Hivites,° and the Jebusites,° unto° a land° flowing°° with milk° and honey.°

 3:18 And they shall hearken to thy voice, and thou and the elders of Israel shall go in to Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and thou shalt say to him, The God of the Hebrews has called us; we will go then a journey of three days into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to our God.

 3:18 And they shall hearken°° to thy voice:° and thou shalt come,°° thou° and the elders° of Israel,° unto° the king° of Egypt,° and ye shall say°° unto° him, Yahweh° Elohim° of the Hebrews° hath met°° with° us: and now° let us go,°°° we beseech thee,° three° days'° journey° into the wilderness,° that we may sacrifice°° to Yahweh° our Elohim.°

 3:19 ¶ But I know that Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} will not let you go, save with a mighty hand;

 3:19 ¶ And I° am sure°° that° the king° of Egypt° will not° let°° you go,°° no,° not by a mighty° hand.°

 3:20 and I will stretch out my hand, and smite the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} with all my wonders, which I shall work among them, and after that he will send you forth.

 3:20 And I will stretch out°°° my hand,° and smite°°° Egypt° with all° my wonders°° which° I will do°° in the midst° thereof: and after° that° he will let you go.°°

 3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}, and whenever ye shall escape, ye shall not depart empty.

 3:21 And I will give°° this° people°° favour° in the sight° of the Egyptians:° and it shall come to pass,° that, when° ye go,°°° ye shall not° go°°° empty:°

 3:22 But [every] woman shall ask of her neighbour and fellow lodger, articles of gold and silver, and apparel; and ye shall put them upon your sons and upon your daughters,-- and spoil ye the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians}.

 3:22 But every woman° shall borrow°° of her neighbour,°° and of her that sojourneth°°° in her house,° jewels° of silver,° and jewels° of gold,° and raiment:° and ye shall put°° [them] upon° your sons,° and upon° your daughters;° and ye shall spoil°°° the Egyptians.°
